  1. I can't believe the full Whole Lotta Love medley wasn't included in this remaster. They really missed the plot with this one I'm afraid.
  2. Is the Super Deluxe box set for this re-release going to have the numbered prints like the original box sets did?
  3. I just listened to the We're Gonna Groove Alternate Mix. I'm sure it's set to piss off a lot of people lol.
  4. It came up to $455 AUD after currency conversion for me. I too, am ordering from Australia. These last three box-sets are insanely expensive, but I already own the other six... I feel obligated to complete the collection. Did you actually pay $310 AUD or USD?
  5. Have the price on the last three boxsets reduced at all since they were first put up?
  6. I've always felt that Plant was proud of his legacy with Led Zeppelin, but in a way he wanted to move on from it and not just to be known as the vocalist from Led Zeppelin. I mean he established his solo career, but I think he shows his pride of Zeppelin work through playing Zeppelin songs with the SSS.
  7. Has anyone got a link to the listening event that's been saved? I can't find it anywhere. I didn't get the chance to catch it live.
  8. To be honest I'm heartbroken that we aren't getting an alternate mix of Down By The Seaside on PG. Would have loved to have heard a studio recorded acoustic outtake of that song. I'm craving to see an alternate mix of I'm Gonna Crawl from ITTOD. But here's hoping that the Coda companion disc will feature a few unreleased tracks.
  9. lol. This pretty much sums up the whole thread. Who gives a flying shit as to who Jimmy is dating? I can't believe this is even news. Sigh.
  10. Personally I have always envisioned Presence as having a dark green theme. As is below.
  11. A studio recorded acoustic version of 'Down By The Seaside' on the Physical Graffiti companion disc, and a studio outtake of 'As Long as I Have You' on the Coda companion disc and my life would be complete.
  12. I have an inkling that Physical Graffiti will be released by itself in two box-sets, or one giant box-set.
  13. Page had apparently stated that PG would be coming in February to coincide with the original release (24th of February).
  14. February for Physical Graffiti, not sure if Presence will be released alongside it.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea4rXvAQIJs Slightly longer video.
  16. +1 it's not going to happen. The guys are old, the 02 was a one off. Just let the band members be, ffs. I'm getting tired of people asking Page and Plant if they are going to do a reunion. If I, just a random hardcore fan is getting frustrated at the amount of people asking about a reunion, imagine how Plant and Page must feel about it.
  17. HEY GUYS, JOHN BONHAM HAS RISEN FROM HIS GRAVE AND NOW THEY ARE IN TALKS TO RE-UNITE THE BAND AND PUT OUT A NEW ALBUM. THIS POST IS NEW AND DESERVES ITS OWN NEW POST. FIND IT AND WATCH IT FOR YOURSELF!!1!1!1!
  18. Agreed. Four Sticks is my favorite on Zep IV. Anyway, I have the super deluxe box sets pre-ordered so I *ahem* "went sailing" *ahem* and listened to a few of the re-releases. The two bonus albums just seem to be very mix-centric. If you were expecting some seriously amazing things from the albums like the deluxe edition of Zeppelin III then you're going to be disappointed. A lot of the outtakes, if not most of them are just instrumentals with different panned mixes. With Stairway to Heaven the extra guitar overdub after the solo is very prominent, along with Plants dry vocals in the rest of the mix. The No Quarter mix is striking with Plants lack of vocals and the HEAVY prominence of Jonesy's piano. Two words to sum up the piano work from outtake from me would be "enchanting" and "dazzling". In the Four Sticks outtake there is a count in from Bonham and it's basically another different mix of panning and what-not, but Plants vocals fade out shorter at the end than it does in the studio version. The Song Remains The Same Outtake is basically a good ear-opener to fully appreciate Jimmy's guitar tone here. It's just a very loud, ringy-sounding guitar. I loved the very last chord that he strums at the end of the song, it just sounds very vibrant. Plants "La-La" section in The Ocean outtake are heavily panned vocals. Pretty much feels like his voice is moving around your head at that point. I actually like it, and prefer it to the studio version.
  19. Brings a tear to my eye, that song. Is and always will be my favorite song of all time and it makes that trailer so much more special. Can't wait...
  20. I used the Hola unblocker extension application for Firefox and set it to the UK to listen to it. I am from Australia.
  21. Honestly it doesn't sound like an alternate mix at all. I could hear the piano fine... It sounds like the studio version, just remastered.
