  1. I was just mentioning this in the New Soundboard thread!!! Who knows how long it'll be before someone ponies up the dosh.
  2. I agree 100%. The three SBD tunes from Long Beach are my fav board recording. I love the sound of that tape, especially Bonzo's drums. Also, the Minneapolis '75 tape is out there, but I don't think it's been picked up yet.... maybe EV has a copy and are biding their time. I don't much care for another later 75 tour show as there are so many, but I would love to hear the songlist for those first few gigs with HMMT, Wanton Song , and Levee.
  3. Yeah, great post . Hopefully the tapes weren't destroyed in that massive fire at Universal in 2008.
  4. Apparently dime banned a new upload of the 9/28/71 release at Empress Valleys request. Amazing.
  5. The sad fact is there is precious little when it comes to interviews with Bonzo about his drumming and influences. Unfortunately, no decent in-depth interview was made before he passed. Jeff Ochletree mentioned something like, Bonzo was somewhat bitter and annoyed that no one asked him about drumming and musical influences....all they wanted to know was the sordid stuff. I'm sure Modern Drummer would've done a quality interview with him at some point, but they were relatively new on the scene in the late 70's, and by Sept '80 it was too late.
  6. Agreed, wonder if the whole thing exists. This gig was never a fav of mine even though the Patriot tape sounded good. Page sounds like he hadn't touched his guitar since the end of the US summer tour and damn, Percy's voice was fucked.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTTGpcAAvn8 This is news to me, has this tape source been shared before?
  8. Yeah, this is a really cool find. It was posted over a year ago. Where's the rest?? Jeez that clapping is brutal, on 1 and 3 for all of Mary Lou!!
  9. Likely a tribute to a groupie, cuz he knowed he done wrong. He clearly says Judy, Judy on a couple versions of Dazed , during the bow solo. He's called out another girl's name too, I think Samantha , on OTHAFA. Makes perfect sense , the syllables don't sound like Jesus at all at that point. It's clearly Georgina -Jojina, whatever the spelling.
  10. http://www.thegardentapes.co.uk/tgt.html In case you've never read this.
  11. Yes, Jimmy must've been inspired by Johnny's riff but it's annoying to read all the comments in that post about TRB being a rip-off, and the same . It's almost the same riff for one measure, and while it's a significant similarity, it's not the same riff. Johnny's tune came out only a couple months before TRB. Those old blues riffs are almost public domain, who knows who originally played that riff or similar. Where'd Johnny get the inspiration? Who knows. Maybe Jimmy and Johnny got it from the same cat. Hubert Sumlin, T-Bone Walker ?? 🤔 The lyrics are a mix of Robert Johnson tunes. Maybe a better title would've been Robert Johnson Medley.
  12. That I am looking forward to! Those sticks are a disappointment, clearly NOT made to the specs of Bonzo's ....although they might feel good to use. I'll prob try a pair.
  13. Of course. I'm sure most members of this forum have extracted files of this show, whether on bootleg, downloaded off the internet, or done by themselves. An official release would hopefully sound better and also could have a really nice booklet, with Jimmy's or the band's recollection of the show, and photos. It could be killer. We are just expressing bafflement and frustration, which I guess is sort of cathartic. I've read other comments where people say Jimmy owes us nothing, and while that's absolutely true, I wish he would stop holding a carrot out and keeping true fans hanging on, with the promises of "new material" or whatever. This show would've been the perfect opportunity. Last year was the 50th (or was it '68?) LOL... I dunno....another missed opportunity.
  14. So true, Sean... it's baffling.😒 Hope you dig our channel.
  15. That does seem odd. I recall reading the multi track tape ran out at that point in Heartbreaker. But what was the excuse for SIBLY, and TY??
  16. A little something in honor of the occasion. The video footage of this concert is such a treasure. It's a shame that Zep didn't do anything to commemorate the 50th of this legendary show...at the very least, an audio release on vinyl/CD with a nice booklet with pics and some some background on the gig.
  17. 😏 Well, this is a surprise! I must say...it's about time!! One thing that's a bit disappointing is the bead isn't really the same style as Bonzo's Promuco sticks. This is an acorn type bead ( legendary?? 🤔) , and his were more of an olive type bead. Seems like a weird choice given its supposed to be a replica. Still, this is pretty cool. Fun fact: Before he had Promuco's custom made, he used Ludwig 2A sticks , which were endorsed by Dino Danelli. I always thought it would have been a no brainer for Ludwig to put out a Bonham memorial Maple Thermogloss kit, in the same sizes as his, or at the very least, a Bonham 6.5x14 Supraphonic snare drum. Maybe we'll see those in the near future.
  18. I'm 2/3rds through a series doing play along videos of a complete '75 show. This is a the big papa .....D&C from March 21 1975. Here is the Playlist for the 75 series..... I also have done a complete 73 tour play along series and nearly the entire studio catalog. Have a look and thanks for watching!
  19. No, we truly haven't got that far yet in terms of programming. We are hoping to get more following on YT and social media, and build some interest. We will be posting a couple tunes in tribute to the RAH 50th anniversary on Jan 9. I think you'll enjoy them!
  20. Not that I recall, I'd have to scour those recordings from 69-70. Seems he only would accompany the White Summer parts.
