The New World Rising From the Shambles of the Old
  1. Perfect!!!!! I just got worried, because of the alternate intro being a little more similar to the live version....my excitement has been saved!!!!!!
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSLwv-QKifY in_the_evening : This is the version I am referring to (starting at 26:18), although it does seem to be different from what you're saying, so that means there's certainly hope. Hope you can find that!
  3. For anyone who bought the rough mix of "In The Evening" before it was taken down, it isn't just the same "outtake"/alternate mix that we already have from ITTOD bootlegs, is it? Because that'd be a little bit of a let down. I just sorta got to thinking/worrying after re-reading the reviews of it on here...
  4. http://www.tightbutloose.co.uk/tbl-news/presencein-through-the-out-door-coda-olympic-studios-playback-event-report-plus-exclusive-tbl-track-by-track-complete-companion-discs-preview/ Dave Lewis' review of the companion material. I'm actually pretty excited about these, especially after reading this. "Pod" sounds like it has some serious potential, and as if the name alone of "St Tristan's Sword" wasn't enough, that seems like it should be a really good tune (hopefully worth the wait). Then the new versions of "Levee (If It Keeps On Raining)", "Royal Orleans" with Jonesy on vocals, and "Bring
  5. Hello to all! I'm a guitarist from Buffalo, NY and a HUGE Jimmy Page enthusiast (I was lucky enough to meet him on November 5th 2014 in NYC). I play (and also take on the role of lead vocalist) in a three piece blues and rock band that formed in September of last year after some effort to get off the ground. I've actually been conversing with a local radio DJ who runs a Led Zeppelin hour every Sunday night and he is looking to get me on the show. So far we have two songs recorded (produced, mixed and mastered by myself) and are looking to record more very soon as we have quite a few more o
  6. I had the astounding pleasure of being able to go on Wednesday. It was an absolutely amazing, perfect time. Mr Page was so down-to-earth and just the sweetest guy with the most beautiful personality. Meeting him was so surreal, I couldn't believe that I was not only meeting him, my biggest inspiration, but that he really was such an incredible man. This experience really couldn't have been any more perfect, and I know that I will never forget it. A massive thank you to Mr Page, Mr Halfin, and the rest of the crew present at Barnes & Noble for making all of this possible.
  7. As the only person anywhere around where I live who owns a Dragon Suit (hand painted) and a Double Neck (though an Epiphone one that needs new pickups), among other guitars (Page custom Danelectro, a 50th anniversarry Epi Les Paul w/ Burstbuckers & gold Grover tuners), I feel that I have been influenced by Jimmy in both my playing and writing style. My next goal is a real Gibson Les Paul Standard (in cherry sunburst, of course) so that I can shave the neck down on the Epiphone one...
  8. I got some close®-up pictures of some of the inlays on the fretboard and the one on the body, as well as a couple close-ups on the suit itself. Will post them as soon as possible.
  9. This may be a stupid question, but is this still on display (it can't find anything on the site about individual pieces)? I'm likely going in about a week and would love to be able to see it in person.
