  1. I was looking through those Diet Coke bottles with people's names on, trying to find one for my girlfriend. Couldn't find it, but I did find mine, which was very surprising because I have a fairly unusual name. Awesome.

THAT'S FUNNY. GLAD YOU HAD ANOTHER SHOPPING STORY TO SHARE WITH US.

  2. My phone slipped INTO my couch through a small hole at the base of the arm and the wooden frame. It's times like these when you can really appreciate having thin hands and long fingers. Although hands are quite bruised up, I got my phone out and that makes me happy!

  3. "Two Andy Gorams, there's only two Andy Gorams"

Celtic fans on Andy Goram after it was revealed the Goalkeeper was diagnosed with schizophrenia

Celtic fans are morons, obviously. Schizophrenics don't have split personalities, per se.

  4. Many mentally ill people live on the streets. Here, Kelly Thomas, shirtless and unarmed, is beaten to death by six police officers:

The videos above document typical brutality tactics: isolation, threats, escalation, and overwhelming force. The suppression tactics include immobilization and suffocation. Finally, he was also repeatedly tazered and had the back of his skull crushed in by a patrolman's flashlight.

Three of the Fullerton, CA officers are currently on trial at the Santa Ana Courthouse in Orange County California. Manuel Ramos, Joe Wolf, and Jay Cicinelli.

Piece-of-shit cops. Disgusting and happens frequently. Apparently the kid that was executed in Oakland (?) at the train station was mentally ill as well.

  5. Friday the 30th August will be the date for the final in a series of Question & Answer sessions with Richard. He has been more then fair in giving us this wonderful access to his memories! so this will be your last chance to ask him what ever it is that you want to know about working with the best Rock n Roll band on the planet or anything else to do with his long career.

For those of us who choose not to use Facebook: What became of this, any good questions, dazedjeffy?

  6. I saw Heart and JBLZE last month. It was great! The 'Plant' has a great voice, he sounds pretty close. The only thing: Why no theremin section in 'Whole Lotta Love'....? Come on!

Ann's voice sounds great, really on-top of her game. Heart performed 5 or 6 Zeppelin songs at the end of the concert with Bonham, they were okay...but Kashmir was great, mostly because of Jason.

    Rock on, Jason!

  7. aawww the poor little darling :(

The love and trust of an animal is unconditional, no matter if it's a short period, or over many years. They touch our hearts.

    My thoughts are with you.

What you said about them touching our hearts is so true. Thank you, Whoopie Cat.

just terrible, so sorry for you :(

my daughter rescued a cat earlier this year - only to have it get bitten by a snake .... :(

That's terrible too, slave to zep. How very sad.

  8. There was this beautiful neighborhood cat that adopted me about a month ago. I'd feed her everyday and when I'd come home from work at night I'd sit on the front porch and love her. We were becoming so close, she'd even sit in my lap. This morning I woke up and found her dead on the front yard. Apparently some dog came by and murdered her during the night! Poor Sugar, I feel just-fucking-terrible.

That's me, weslgarlic! But that is a really out-of-date picture. (Don't judge me, it was the '80s, everyone was doing the 'big hair' thing.)

Here's a more recent photo of me during a bout of heat:

I also roll over and beg for bones.

  10. Yes, I like especially the movies from the 60's, 70's and 80's, such as Once Upon A Time in the West, Barry Lyndon, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather etc;

I think they were very aesthetic movies, whereas nowadays most films look like video games if they are action movies and are much more predictable, and the scenarios are either weak or too complicated.( but there are still some great movies today !)

It was also a great era for music of course!

Agreed, movies have lost so much over the years, good writing mostly. And I know what you mean about them looking like video games; cheap theatrics are no substitute for substance. The last time I went to a movie theatre was on October 17, 2012 for Celebration Day. And before that... must've been at least five years.

And definitely! ( and also agree on 100% of that other stuff too. ;) )
