  1. 1- Thank You. Of course the studio performance and backing track are beautiful with/without Plant's beautiful delicate vocals. LA Forum 6/25/1972, Nagoya 10/5/1972, and LA Forum 6/3/1973 are the 3 most beautiful performances of the song live. 2- Rain Song. Of course the studio performance is beautiful. As far as beautiful live performances I will say Seattle 7/17/1973, St. Louis 2/16/1975, and Vancouver 3/20/1975. 3- Ten Years Gone. The studio performance took a long time to grow on me as I have always preferred the longer live performances more. Seattle 7/17/1977, LA Forum 6/21/1977, and Knebworth 8/4/1979 are all great! 4- Tangerine. As with TYG, the studio performance took a long time to grow on me after hearing the fantastic Earl's Court 5/24/1975 performance! That, Tokyo 9/24/1971, and Osaka 9/29/1971, and Earl's Court 5/25/1975 are my favorite performances. 5- Going To California. As much as Plant's vocals are completely beautiful, the backing track of this is some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard before with the guitar and mandolin!! Every performance of this song is great, but How The West Was Won might be the best to me. I also really like Osaka 9/29/1971 with the extended intro and Earl's Court 5/24/1975 is great! 6- That's The Way. Another beautiful song! The acoustic guitar sounds amazing and the lyrics are really something. The studio version is great, as well as How The West Was Won, Earl's Court 5/24/1975, and BBC Sessions. 7- Down By The Seaside. There's just something different about this song! Plant's vocals and lyrics are fantastic, and Jimmy's guitar riff sounds like it's under water somehow. I really wish we could have got the acoustic version with the companion discs!! Really wish it had been played live too. 8- All My Love. I'm not sure why, but I'm like the only person who loves the mono mix on the In Through The Out Door companion disc. I think it sounds awesome, and better than the original. I also really like the Frankfurt 6/30/1980 live performance of it. This song is mainly on my list because of why Plant wrote the lyrics. 9- Stairway To Heaven. This is one of the greatest, most beautiful songs ever made. The studio version is very beautiful, but I also really love some of the studio outtakes of the song! One of them is very beautiful! As far as live performances go this song lost some of its beauty, but Orlando 8/31/1971, Southampton 1/22/1973, Vancouver 3/20/1975, LA 6/23/1977, and Seattle 7/17/1977 are my favorite performances. 10- Ramble On. Between the bass lines, and the guitar riffs, and the drums, and Plant's vocals and lyrics this one is definitely one of their most beautiful songs.
  2. San Diego ~ March 14, 1975. Another new show to me that I have had for quite a while, but never listened to. Another fantastic March '75 show with a great soundboard recording. I'm up to Trampled Under Foot now so about half way through the 3 hours. So far I was really impressed with No Quarter, an intense 30 minute performance! I think I'm going to skip most of Moby Dick so I'm not worn out by Dazed And Confused though, I usually just listen to the first few minutes and last few minutes and skip like 20 painful minutes of pure drums lol.
  3. Dang there you go! As said previously in this thread "It's coming!". I would definitely guess this may be the next soundboard release unless we get one from 1977. I assume this show was February 27, 1975? Zeppelin throughout March 1975 is IMHO the best, most fluid playing from each member of the band, and by then Plant sounded awesome again! I'm sure the band was in a very great mood when they got to Houston during late February.. Feeling that warm weather once again.
  4. What's the significance of this show? I have seen it mentioned several times, but have the slightest clue of why.. Is it rumored to have been a fantastic show or were you there by chance..?
  5. Inspired by the which soundboard recording for a show would you like to hear, but without all the LA 1977 answers lol. Which show would you love to hear of which no circulating recording exists? Just based on location, rumors, and so on... Please explain why you want to hear this specific show that you have no idea if it was good or bad and may not even know the exact set list. My #1 is certainly Denver ~ June 21, 1972. Based on the possible set list on the time line and with how amazing Seattle and LA was, this Denver show must have been amazing!! Plus I was born in Denver and have lived in Colorado my entire life. After that, any of the Seattle or Vancouver shows are next. Seattle ~ December 27, 1968, Vancouver ~ December 28, 1968, Vancouver ~ May 10, 1969, Seattle ~ May 11, 1969, Vancouver ~ July 26, 1969, Seattle ~ July 27, 1969, Seattle ~ March 22, 1970, Seattle ~ September 1, 1970, Vancouver August 19, 1971 or Seattle ~ August 20, 1971 are all welcome!! Aside from Vancouver 1973, which we all know the rumors of what happened there, and Seattle 1977, which is NOT a bad show at all! Actually one of my favorite 1977 shows, but Plant's voice wasn't in the best condition that night and the sound and video are both very dry and does the show absolutely no justice. But every other show in both Seattle & Vancouver are fantastic!! Seattle & Vancouver both rank up there with LA & NYC as the greatest locations of Led Zeppelin shows. However they seemed to often play very loose shows in both Seattle & Vancouver, but they always held it together enough to pull off some of their greatest shows IMHO. I always wish Zeppelin hit 3 nights in Seattle and 3 nights in Vancouver during June 1977! Imagine if they hit 6 nights in New York, then 3 nights in Vancouver, then 3 nights in Seattle, then finished up the leg with 6 nights at the LA Forum!! And of course Denver ~ December 26, 1968, which obviously requires no explanation.
  6. Berlin Germany ~ July 7, 1980. Decided to finally listen to Zeppelin's very last show. On Black Mountain Side now and it sounds like a pretty decent show overall, but I've yet to hear anything on the 1980 tour that quite compares with Frankfurt June 30, 1980, which that show ranks up there among my favorite shows! I have listened to Stairway To Heaven from this show before and I really did not dig Page's solo.. It's just kind of weird after a minute or two.
  7. Whiskey A Go Go ~ January 5, 1969. 47th anniversary!! It's been way too long since I've listened to this early gem so decided it was a great night to listen to it!
  8. Definitely awesome and one of my favorite Stairway To Heaven's pre-1975, but I personally prefer the performances of STH during March of the '75 tour (Vancouver 3/20/75 being the best) more than any other year or tour as the entire band was perfect and it definitely helps that every recording from that time was superb whether soundboard or audience! I think STH often sounded flat and one dimensional on many recordings, but the sound really sounds alive during the March '75 soundboard recordings to my ears. On the other hand, Heartbreaker is certainly going to be a track that I come back to. Possibly even more than any other song from the show, which Heartbreaker is one song that I rarely like the performance. I usually find the solo to get painfully boring for some reason, but this one held my attention and the drums sound so awesome!
  9. Vienna Austria ~ March 16, 1973. It has been a long time since I have listened to one of these March Euro '73 shows. Finished the Rain Song now so about half way through and it's definitely a great show so far as every show was during this time! I've never listened to any song from this show before so it's all new to me so can't wait for Dazed And Confused as that one was very amazing during these shows! As far as Dazed And Confused goes.. Truly one of the greats. I really like the sound quality of this song compared to the rest of the show so far, the drums sound great.
  10. Well I posted my favorite performance of Kashmir, but my opinion changed since March 2014 and I've listened to tons and tons of additional shows, and Kashmir has became one of my top 5 favorite songs. 1- Vancouver 3/20/1975. It just does not get better than this show!! Such a fantastic, and powerful performance of Kashmir!!! For how much bashing Plant gets about his vocals during this tour, he sure sounds powerful right here!!! This has been my favorite performance of Kashmir for a long while now. 2- Frankfurt 6/30/1980. It's very close between this and LA 6/25/1977, but I have to go with this one. While some may find Jonsey's 1980 keyboards to be cheesy, I find it to be a refreshing change for the band's sound and Kashmir sounded pretty cool and very different!! I love Bonzo's fills at the end and it goes on forever!! I want to say that after they f***ed up Kashmir the previous night that they really wanted to knock it out of the park the next night, which they definitely did!! 3- LA 6/25/1977. It's a close tie with LA 6/21/1977, but I think the 25th may have been slightly better. While most would disagree I still find Kashmir in Vancouver 3/20/1975 to be more powerful than any of the LA '77 shows, but maybe if I was there I would have a different opinion... I will never make up my mind about if I enjoy Black Mountain Side > Kashmir or hearing Bonzo shout "1-2-3-4!!!" as the intro. Bonzo sounds ferocious in Vancouver 3/20/1975, part of the reason why I like that one so much!
  11. LA Forum ~ June 25, 1977. Another new one for me, though I've listened to a few songs from it before including Kashmir many times. It should be an enjoyable 3 1/2 hours anyway! Well 3 hours as I'm done with IMTOD.
  12. Nassau Coliseum ~ February 14, 1975. Getting another new show scratched off my list. Extremely good sound quality anyway, though Plant's voice wasn't the best during these New York '75 shows. Nonetheless this sounds like a very good and enjoyable show so far up to the Rain Song.
  13. How does that one sound?! I always try to get a Winston Remaster copy of any show that's available. I have been planning on listening to that show for a while, but keep dreading it because the sound hurts my ears (like wayyyyyyy too brickwalled). I have this show on soundboard and Tokyo 9/24/1971 on audience and they both have a very similar sound which is weird, but Tokyo is less brickwalled sounding.
  14. LA Forum ~ May 31, 1973. 'Bonzo's Birthday Matrix'. It's been a while since I've listened to a full '73 U.S. show so getting another new one for me off the list. Since 'Three Days After' is a poor recording I never got the show besides the encores so I decided to just put Organ Solo ~ Thank You at the end of 'Bonzo's Birthday Matrix' which I often listen to on the album, but never have listened to the full album yet. Finished Black Dog now and sounds like a great show and a good recording!
  15. Cleveland ~ April 27, 1977. Just now getting around to giving this show a full listen, but I've listened to a few songs from it in the past. I'm on No Quarter now and am liking the show quite a bit, but the following night is better so far and a better recording regardless of it being an audience recording over a soundboard recording. I really like this No Quarter, though it has what seems like a very long cut in it unfortunately. I really like how they played Trampled Under Foot as the encore both nights in Cleveland.
  16. LA Forum ~ August 21, 1971. I've been listening to parts of this show a lot recently, but not I'm giving the full show a chance. I'm thinking this is certainly the very best of the '71 U.S. tour. I really hope this one will be released on soundboard someday with similar quality of Orlando a week later. The audience recording is pretty decent anyway. Thank You is phenomenal on this show!

  18. LA Forum ~ June 23, 1977. 'For Badge Holders Only'. Decided to listen to an old favorite for the 1st time in about a year. For the full show of course, I have listened to specific songs from this show many times over the past year!! Still just as great as I remember perhaps even better than I remember, and this is one of those very few shows that goes by in a rush!! I believe it's 3 hours 15 minutes and feels like 1 hour 30 minutes! I'm on Over The Top now and feel like I've been listening for only an hour lol. Just a very, VERY strong phenomenal and enjoyable show!! Every song is a 10/10 besides for the 8/10 decided by Plant on Kashmir haha. I really hope we get a soundboard of this show someday! I'm definitely going to listen to LA ~ 6/21/1977 one of these next few days for the 1st time in a long time as well and if I enjoy it enough possibly listen to 6/25/1977 soon after that, but I listened to 6/27/1977 just a month ago or less!
  19. San Francisco ~ January 12, 1969. Another one that I've never listened to before. Another very awesome show, but the recording isn't the best. It's hard to believe how great Zeppelin was at this point. How Many More Times was great!! Bonzo got a very good response with Pat's Delight! The band improved tremendously over the next 3 months by the time they returned to San Francisco especially Jimmy's solos, but these very early shows are very great themselves including the night before!
  20. Seattle ~ March 21, 1975. It's been a while since I've listened to a full 1975 show! Another one that I've never listened to the full show. I thought this one was going to be a drag to listen to because it's nearly 4 hours long and I had thought the recording was mediocre, but I'm on Since I've Been Loving You and never want this show to end. This is one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard even compared to the '77 Millard shows!! I honestly don't think I would like a soundboard of this show more than the audience recording, though a matrix with a '75 quality soundboard properly mixed could make THE best bootleg... They played a ton of extra songs this night as well including SIBLY and the encores.. Whole Lotta Love (The Crunge), Black Dog, Communication Breakdown, and Heartbreaker!! Needless to say, this show is one hell of a journey! Wish I could have been there.
  21. Cleveland ~ April 28, 1977. On my journey of listening to every full Led Zeppelin concert (that is recorded), I am doing a 1977 night after my 1972 last night with Nagoya, which was awesome. Another show that I've never listened to the full show at once before. Pretty dang good show! I'm getting towards the end now and Achilles Last Stand is f***ing great!!! This is a great show and a good recording, but the cuts are very tedious as is Plant singing Dancing Days but not playing it lol. I would definitely recommend a listen to this show if anyone has yet to do so, it's a very solid performance!
  22. I've been in the same boat the last few weeks. It's happened before in my experience, but only for a week or so. It's been down for a full month now.
  23. Nagoya ~ October 5, 1972. 43 years ago tonight! Very good show and a decent audience recording. 1st time I've ever listened to the full show, but I know I have a very special encore to end it with.
  24. I actually already have a full copy of the HMMT with the full intro Same with the performance on BBC Sessions, which also had the intro cut off during HMMT as the intro was also cut off on Paris 10/10/1969 on the debut companion disc! I always thought the intro was pretty cool, but it's obvious that someone doesn't lol. However I would be interested in hearing Dancing Days and WIAWSNB from Long Beach 1972!! Definitely would have confused many with Plant saying "John Paul Jones on bass guitar and hammond organ" lol I never thought about that before. Now I'm wondering more about Organ Solo > Thank You & Since I've Been Loving You not being included on the DVD... I find it hard to believe that both songs didn't get filmed or something like that! I've also thought that perhaps they didn't reach Jimmy's RIDICULOUS standards, as being only the 2nd performance of both songs EVER... But now I'm thinking that both songs do exist somewhere, but perhaps a little issue with the two songs.. Perhaps Jonsey's organ didn't get multi tracked along with the rest of the show!!
  25. Royal Albert Hall ~ January 9, 1970. How Many More Times. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pB8JXBTmHXY
