  1. I've been wondering when the next release will come out for a while as well! I'm really hoping for a great one this time. I'm not sure why anyone would want another '75 soundboard.. I mean any of the last 4 shows in March would be incredible or a good one from January.. But I would much rather have something from 1970-1972 than anything. LA 8/21/1971 or Seattle 6/19/1972 are at the very top of my list besides shows that we have never heard (Denver 6/21/1972..). A soundboard from 1972 would be something else...
  2. Listening to a very great, very long show tonight... LA Forum ~ June 25, 1972!!!!! 'Burn Like A Candle'!! I really like the quality of How The West Was Won. Amazing sound quality! But Burn Like A Candle is almost better since it includes Tangerine, Louie Louie, Thank You and Communication Breakdown and all the Plantations that add up to an extra 35 minutes of concert time and isn't a mix of Long Beach 6/27/72 either. Plus the quality of the audience bootleg is one of the best!
  3. Berlin Germany ~ March 19, 1973. 1st time ever listening to the full show!
  4. Well after a few months of enjoying the new remasters tremendously, I am back to listening to as much live material as possible! 45 years ago today, Oakland 9/2/1970!! Such a fantastic show, two days later is pretty much the exact show being perfected. I'm not too sure if I'll be able to enjoy Blueberry Hill on Friday though because of the new Iron Maiden album that I am extremely excited for!! Yesterday for my very 1st time I listened to LA Forum 6/27/1977 all the way through! That's another great show being over 3 1/2 hours! I would rather have seen Zeppelin 7 years earlier though, but they still knew exactly how to put on a great show! I love how the drums sound on the Millard recordings.
  5. Can we at least agree that Jimmy's guitar solo in Thank You is one of the best solos ever done Sathington and Pluribus..? ...if not, then to quote one Eric Cartman "screw you guys, I'm going home!".
  6. ^^ well that's just your opinion, on the other hand Southampton is my favorite live show and I prefer it way over TSRTS and HTWWW. I don't care if this show was ever released officially or not, we already have an excellent copy of the show on bootleg with NOTHING EDITED OUT!!! I also think Jimmy's guitar never sounded as great as it did at Southampton. I just prefer listening to shows where Zeppelin were having a great time and playing very loose over what we have on TSRTS and Earl's Court. Same reason why I prefer Seattle '73 over New York '73, they were playing very loose and sounded like they were nice and relaxed and enjoying themselves and obviously not trying to rush through their songs, every song in Seattle seems to be played slower than even on the album versions which must have been a difficult task to achieve.
  7. Well it could be just how we are reading it.. Like if you read Plantations Plant often comes off sounding like he was angry, but when listening it sounds like he's having a good time, but trying to get the audience to move back or to quiet down. Jimmy could have been laughing a little while explaining that it wasn't Bonzo..
  8. Kezar Stadium, San Francisco 1973. Only one I can add at the moment.
  9. Thanks for the list Sathington! Looks like we actually do have pretty much everything as an official release besides audio only which continues to puzzle me. I still wonder why they filmed Seattle '77, but didn't record it. Did Jimmy confirm that he didn't have Seattle multi-tracked? I think I read that he said that back around the Led Zeppelin DVD, but was that just implied or did he state that no '77 shows were multi-tracked? I wonder what's going on with Japan tapes, there is no way that they could have listened to Osaka 9/29/1971 and concluded the performance was sub par for an official release! I never knew that Jimmy or Peter confirmed that a September '68 show was recorded, but that's pretty cool if we ever got to hear that!! I always assumed that they would have recorded one just to see what they actually sounded like on stage.
  10. Does anyone know which shows were multitracked? Of course all the official releases were multitracked, but was Paris 10/10/1969 (Led Zeppelin I Companion Disc) multitracked or did Jimmy just lower his ridiculously high standards to a soundboard recording then remaster it to the highest quality? Are those recordings found on Disc 1 of BBC Sessions multitracked as well as the 30 minute amazing video of Denmark '69 by chance? I suppose if Paris '69 was not multitracked then that opens a lot of hope for future live recordings since afterall there were only so many shows that they did multitrack. I do know that my favorite show was multitracked ~ Southampton University - January 22, 1973. I apologize if this has already been a topic, but I looked around briefly and didn't see anything like this. Also, feel free to post shows that are believed to have been multitracked as well.
  11. San Francisco 4/26/1969 ~ 1st performance of Whole Lotta Love. Would have been nice to catch all 4 shows that week.
  12. Tokyo 9/24/1971. Enjoying the full show, at the acoustic set now. Such a great show! Also one of my favorite artwork covers 'Lost In Translation'.
  13. Whole Lotta Love - Tokyo 9/24/1971. [Medley: Let That Boy Boogie ~ Cocaine Blues ~ Rave On ~ Your Time Is Gonna Come ~ I'm A Man ~ The Hunter ~ Hello Mary Lou ~ Pretty Woman ~ How Many More Times]. Such a great and possibly the most unique medley with the only performance of Your Time Is Gonna Come! Communication Breakdown - Los Angeles 9/4/1970. [Medley: Good Times Bad Times ~ For What It's Worth ~ I Saw Her Standing There]. One of the greatest 10 minutes of live Zeppelin IMO. How Many More Times - Montreux 3/7/1970. [Medley: Boogie Chillun' ~ Bottle Up 'N Go ~ My Baby Left Me ~ Jenny Jenny ~ The Lemon Song] One of my favorites for a long time. Though San Francisco 4/27/1969 is tied with it IMO. Whole Lotta Love - Southampton University 1/22/1973. [Medley: Everybody Needs Someone To Love ~ Let That Boy Boogie ~ (You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care ~ Let's Have A Party ~ I Can't Quit You Baby]. Another favorite of mine!
  14. LA Forum 3/27/1975 - Kashmir. Quite difficult to listen to a '75 audience tape when there's sooooo many great quality soundboards, a Millard tape makes the transition easy though.
  15. Offenburg Germany 3/24/1973. I have really neglected these March European shows despite many claiming Page and Bonzo were at their very best. Very enjoyable show though, I've listened from Rock And Roll - Rain Song so far. Page really was flawless here, every little fill is perfect! Will have to listen to Vienna 3/16/73 and Berlin 3/19/73 soon, those 3 seem to be the best from what I've heard..
  16. Somehow I've never seen this thread before, but Maiden has pretty much been tied with Zeppelin as my favorite band forever though Zeppelin gets the nod. Have yet to see them live, but definitely will when they promote the new album! I really like all of their albums whether it's Bruce, Paul or Blaze or classic or modern. The new album looks pretty damn good, 1st double album, 18 minute song... There will be something great to look forward to after July 31 anyway!
  17. LA Forum - 6/.. Ehh you all know which one! 38 years ago today.. Would have been a great week to have 6 Zeppelin tickets!
  18. I just listened to a few songs again and your completely right. Bonzo was barely keeping the standard beat in SIBLY and towards the end when he usually fills every beat he didn't do anything! Then Kashmir felt slow and underwhelmed and he was messing up the beat here and there. Still not a terrible show considering Page and Plant were doing quite well, but definitely far from their best.
  19. One awesome performance of Communication Breakdown ehh? That's the best performance of the song IMO though the Blueberry Hill performance comes pretty close, but can't really compare the two because what makes the Blueberry Hill performance is the medley. But that is Jimmy Page + Jimmy Page on guitar. Might be hearing Jonsey's groovy bass there, but Led Zeppelin only performed with the 4 members. Though sometimes they had guests during some songs such as Keith Moon on Over The Top on the LA Forum 6/23/1977 show, but only for like 2 minutes. They were just great musicians and Jonsey was like 5 musicians at once always performing the bass. San Diego 6/19/1977 is one of the worse shows?! how can one of the worst shows of Zep's career come 2 nights before one of the best? I've been listening to it a little recently and didn't really notice anything bad, but I've only listened to SIBLY, TYG and Kashmir. I thought HMMT was pretty good at Greensboro, much better than 2 nights later in Detroit that just sounds so uninspiring.
  20. ^^ good choice! I listened to the full show yesterday and it is very enjoyable! Every song is very good and you can tell the band was trying to put on a great show. Zeppelin certainly never lost it as some people try to say they did in 1980, they obviously could put on a good one if they wanted. One of the best performances of Kashmir IMO. Switzerland 6/29/1980 - Kashmir. After hearing how great the Frankfurt show was and how amazing Kashmir is I decided to see what they did the night before. Did they get lost in Kashmir? They did some weird break before the mid section (or whatever anyone calls it), and sounds like the outro but not quite. All I know is that it sounds really cool, I wish they did it more often! I've been listening to the matrix of both shows and both are really good matrix recordings, but unfortunately the soundboard cuts out in the middle of Kashmir. Anyone know if there is a recording of a full soundboard for Kashmir? It's a great performance, but rather unfortunate if there just isn't a full soundboard of the song. The audience recording is good at least, but still sounds way better on the matrix.
  21. But remember that Millard also recorded the San Diego 6/19/1977 show two days before! They might have performed a slightly shorter No Quarter that night so the tape may have extended to the end of Ten Years Gone before he had to switch tapes, but on the 21st they might have performed a longer No Quarter and he didn't know the tape would run out during Ten Years Gone. I haven't listened to much of the San Diego show so I don't know what the times of the songs are or if there are any cuts in the songs, but definitely going to get it to listen to here in 2 weeks!
  22. Some very great photographs here! Some that I've never seen, especially some with all four members on stage which are tough to come around. I would upload my favorite one, but I've never been able to upload pictures on here with my antique 1st generation iPad lol. But thanks to Sam Webmaster for sharing on here you can and/or have seen the photo of Zeppelin performing at Southampton (I think from the 21st gig, instead of the famous 22nd show we all know.) Jonsey is playing a mellotron and Bonzo is on drums in the back and Plant and Page are up front, it was taken from the side of the stage.. It's a great photo! Even have it as my cover photo on Facebook since he shared it a few months back! Love the back and white photos of Zeppelin, they look very authentic which is very fitting for the most authentic music ever made!!
