  1. Well, it certainly seems possible, based on the above info. I am surprised and disappointed at the same time. I always thought that his guitar work on Radioactive was very unique, and a credit to his versatility, but that is now in jeopardy. Thanks for the info.
  2. Source? I find that hard to believe, although anything is certainly possible. Some proof could convince me.
  3. Such a great song, and so complementary to the material created during the ITTOD sessions. It would appear that this song got a massive re-work, and eventually re-surfaced as Radioactive by The Firm. Not so much in structure, but in Jimmy's approach to his playing.
  4. Thank-you everyone for the out pooring of kind words. It's a special little family we have here. We are nearing the end of our funeral arrangements, and the service will be Saturday. After that I will allow myself a good sob, which I have been deferring so that I can stay focussed. Love your parents while you have them, and tell them that you love them as often as you can. Same applies to all your cherished loved ones.
  5. Thank-you Charles and Strider. Such kind and constructive words. I sincerely appreciate them.
  6. You are a sweetheart. Thank-you. PM sent.
  7. My Mom died on Sunday, and my chest feels like there is an anvil resting on it. Does the grief subside? I hope so.
  8. Deleted in the interest of peace and respect. Thanks Doc.
  9. No offence John, but the fact that some of us haven't responded to your challenge is more a reflection of our indifference to your approach, than a lack of something to say. I have to want to participate, yet everytime I try, I realize that I don't have to explain myself, nor do I want to. You've come, and you will go, and life will carry on. In the meantime, I can only respect your decision to like what you like. I have decided to like what I like, and with total confidence, I don't think twice about those who don't concur. Led Zeppelin vs The Who is an all encompassing topic. It is broad and does not state that all comments must pertain to music. The fact that Townshend is a shameful pervert is very much on topic, despite your disdain for those who raised the issue.
  10. Oh so true. It just shows how intimidating Page is to many people. His brilliance makes him a target; not Townshend though. He's never been a contender as "the greatest". He was a solid entertainer, but far from great.
  11. That has the look of a pensive toilet bowl moment / strain.
  12. Sorry, but that sounds nothing like a laugh. Clearly it is guitar.

  14. Win, lose, or draw, all of these repeated theft allegations have impacted adversely on the name and legacy of Led Zeppelin. I am of two minds on the topic, but the damage done is irreversible at this stage. A case in point being The Simpson's characterization of Jimmy. It's all most unfortunate.
  15. I've got a sealed copy of Afternoon Tea. As you noted, it's virtually worthless, but I love it as part of my extensive Yardbirds collection.
  16. Haha. After 26 years together, it doesn't usually work out that well. Unfortunately, my great morning, today, is about to end as I head outside to cut the grass for three hours. Man, I hate cutting grass.
  17. Sleeping in. Making my wife breakfast in bed. And big good morning kisses from my puppy.
  18. Flying from British Columbia to Alberta (Canada) for two Black Sabbath shows, April 21 and 23.
  19. You're always helpful bud, including yesterday at the other place . Did you buy on Amazon?
  20. Cool! Glad you loved the show. OzzyisDio and I are big Sabbath fans. I'm flying half way across Canada in 18 days to see two consecutive shows, and I saw them in August 2013 as well. Buy those albums! OID, tell us about that box that you just bought (above). I haven't seen that one before.
  21. I want to go on record saying that there are no truly bad Zeppelin songs. I have favorite songs and least favorite songs, but I just listened to my two least favorite songs, and thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of them. And, I will also say that every note of In Through the Out Door is epic. This album is misunderstood by many, but it is a masterpiece when you really consider what was going on when this album was recorded. I can only imagine what would have followed. ITTOD was the bridge to a new era of Zeppelin. An era that we did not get to witness.
