  1. Hey Andy! All good here man, you? Pretty good, eh? It's from a movie called 'Across the Universe', pretty good flick. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Across_the_Universe_(film) I'm not sure if he was a lefty or he was just emulating Paul?!?
  2. Right. Also, doesn't that stuff get old after a while? Seems like kind of a novelty.
  3. lol I thought some people might feel this way, same with Bungalow Bill. I like 'em. I know its not on Ram, but that reminds me, Junk would've been a good addition... hmm. Maybe a bonus track. Honey Pie, really?!? Surprising, lol. I figured my exclusion of Long, Long, Long and Julia might not be popular.
  4. Inspired by The Love That I Found's thread 'Re-doing Physical Graffiti'. Got me to thinking, "The double album that could really use a trim is the Beatles White Album'. George Martin, Ringo and George seem to agree. (7:47-9:23) Going by the general guideline that vinyls typically hold approximately 20-25 minutes per side (?) here's what I came up with: Side A: 1. Revolution (the hard-rocking single version) Great opener, really sets the tone 2. Dear Prudence 3. Glass Onion 4. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da 5. The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill 6. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 7. Happiness is a Warm Gun Running Time: Approx. 24 minutes Pretty much kept the same running order, minus the exclusions. Side B was a little trickier. Side B: 1. Yer Blues 2. Mother Nature's Son 3. Blackbird 4. Not Guilty-IMO the most egregious exclusion from the original album. Fits well here between all the acoustic numbers. Gives George his one song per side as well. 5. I'm So Tired 6. I Will 7. Helter Skelter 8. Cry Baby Cry-The 'Can You Take Me Back' ending really works to close the album. Running Time: Approx. 24 minutes Thoughts? I've been tinkering with this for a couple weeks, quite happy with it! Just made a copy for my car, feel free to give it a try yourself.
  5. Good right? There's lot of good players on YouTube, you can really learn a lot of cool live stuff that is hard to find anywhere else. I wish I could take credit for it but I just found on YouTube lol.
  6. They played 5 shows in Japan in 71 and 6 in 72, most of which were some of their best ever. Also this:
  7. Hush-Pretty Good Women from Tokyo-I always thought this was Blue Oyster Cult Perfect Strangers and Knocking at My Back Door-80's cheese others-That organ gets kinda old... Yes, but the Yardbirds were formed before DP. BS DP and LZ IMO are all great bands, but its funny how some cannot accept that DP is more popular in some parts of the world Yes. I never said they were a bad band, just not as good as Zep or Sabbath. It's funny how some people cannot accept that this is a forum where people give their opinions.
  8. There's a few other good ones, not as many as Zep and Sabbath though IMO.
  9. ^Watch for maximum lulz. Here's a few comments that gave me a chuckle. mnpd3 1 year ago What in the hell is wrong with Neil Young here? He looks like the guitar is electrocuting him everytime he does a simple riff. rachel williams 1 year ago it looked to me like neil had caca in his pants the way he was standing .....
  10. lol. Nice find. I've always liked Jimmy's moves. Too bad he didn't give Neil Young a few tips.

  12. What about Paranoid, Children of the Grave, Supernaut, Hole in the Sky, Symptom of the Universe?
  13. I'm hoping ITTOD companion includes 'Carouselambra-Mix minus Vocals and Keyboards'.
  14. Eh, they have a handful of good songs. Take away Child in Time, Highway Star, and Black Night and what's left? Smoke on the Water? Pretty slim pickins IMO. Also, aren't they quoted somewhere as saying the reason they started playing hard rock/metal was Zeppelin?
