  1. My early predictions: Eastern Conference Finals: Cavs over Heat (sure the NBA would like that ratings bonanza as well!) Western Conference Finals: Spurs over OKC Finals: Spurs over Cavs. No reason to pick against the Spurs after seeing what they did to Miami in the last Finals.
  2. Ironically, just heard In the Light on said station on my way to Zaxby's! http://www.971theriver.com/lsp/
  3. Only when I'm in the car and I'm tired of all my cd's I have with me. One of our rock stations has actually been playing some deeper cuts lately, lets hope that continues!
  4. I mean, to each his own, I guess I could see not liking Dancing Days, even TSRTS, but The Rain Song? One of their best! And who doesn't love cranking up The Ocean, a feel-good song if I've ever heard one!
  5. +1. That double rim-shot Bonzo does just makes all the difference IMO.
  6. Not really D'yer Maker's fault that it gets played too much on the radio. There's plenty to like about it, like Bonzo's drum fills and actually one of my favorite Jimmy solos, nice expressive, melodic string bends!
  7. Definitely. Never realized just how many shows they played till I saw the schedule in Jimmy's new book. A lot!
  8. All Along the Watchtower-Jimi Hendrix (sorry Jimi, but it's true)

  10. From 'The Garden Tapes' by Eddie Edwards: Earls Court 1975 In My Time Of Dying A change of night for this one. It's from the 24th and, a little surprisingly for a song of this length and complexity, it's very close to being complete and unaltered. There are a couple of little adjustments, though. Where everything stops at NTSC 0:25:54, PAL 0:25:56, Robert originally sang "Let me hear ya" four times, but three of these have been removed. Bafflingly, considering how much care has been taken elsewhere to hide small vocal imperfections, the surviving "Let me hear ya" was certainly not the best of the four! Immediately afterwards, to add to the confusion, the first "Oh, my Jesus" has been patched to fix a crack that was no worse than the one in "Let me hear ya" that was allowed to remain. There is one other puzzling edit near the beginning of the song where the drums enter at NTSC 0:17:59, PAL 0:18:01. The slightly quirky lead-in that Bonzo played has been replaced with a straighter, simplified snare pattern. In My Time Of Dying was played as the fourth number at all the Earls Court shows and it could be argued that it really belongs before the acoustic set, but in the context of the six songs chosen for DVD the adjusted running order works very well.
  11. OKC has to worry about keeping their head above water until KD returns. They'll be ok, he won't be gone that long. I think this is the year the Clippers get there. They are deep and tough. Meh. Most people say they aren't tough enough. (Myself included) Should be interesting to see how they come back from the whole Donald Sterling thing though. And I do think age will catch up to San Anton. Time waits for no one. We've been saying that for years! (Myself included) Dunno man, they actually seem to be building a nice core of young players. My surprise team=N.O. Pelicans
  12. Yeesh, that's a pretty bad wham-o on the back cover! Sorry you got a faulty copy D! Surely these problems arose during shipping, maybe you should just get a refund and go get it at a bookstore? Kinda wish I did that, the corners on my back cover were pretty banged up.

  14. Yea so I guess those were bad links I had or something. It's on Pauls twitter, sorry, not a twitter user. https://twitter.com/PaulMcCartney/status/524270739915292672
