Why can't it just be he was pleasantly surprised by Jason's participation in the tribute and moved to tears by the bowler hats the late John Bonham was known for wearing?
Not exactly that, but close. Robert said in an interview in 2013 that he was moved to tears because seeing Jason on stage made him think about the loss of John Bonham.

The last US show was played 45 years ago. I would not label these as completly "new", but I haven't seen them in good quality. Sorry, if these were posted before.

It's very cool to see 1977 show so well documented in HQ photos. Thanks for sharing!

Regarding soundboard recordings - when Bloomington tape was revealed, the person who had it, also claimed that they have three LA 77 soundboards.

rare shot from Pontiac
Never seen this before. So they used 3 handheld cameras. If the footage exists it could be more diverse and could have more interesting camera angles than Seattle video.

How did I miss this...it's been a month already.
Steve, quality of your work is amazing. Can you send me the good stuff?
Thanks in advance!

5/30/77 is on the list, but that list is getting long so I'm not sure when I'll get to it. And as it turns out, the next show I'm doing is 1/22/73. I didn't think I could add much to it, but being able to split the songs into individual tracks let me raise the level of Robert's voice so his vocals now mix well with the instruments. I was also able to split Jimmy's guitar so it's in both the left and right channels, which really fills out the sound. Here's a sample:
Well, at least it's on the list. I think some of the perfomances from May 30th might be the best of that tour, 'Sick Again' being one of them - very tight and aggressive. Would be a treat to hear remastered version.

I've already got 5/26/73 broken into individual tracks and have done a lot of remastering on it, so it's the leading candidate from '73 because of that. I haven't listened to 5/13/73 recently. I'll see if I can do anything productive with it. I also tried 5/31/73, but wasn't terribly thrilled with the results.
My main goal with the Stereo Project is to hit as many of the famous shows as possible before I run out of steam. That's why 4/27/77 is on the list, even though it's not generally highly regarded. I'd also like to change the perception of that particular show, because I'm finding the performance a lot more impressive than I did in the past once I improved the sound a little bit.
Do you have any plans to do 5/30/77 ?

Saw TSRTS in the summer of 2010, exactly 10 years ago - the first ever Led Zep concert I "attended".

Shame.
I do love the Heywood version though. Grin.
My one niggle is that he didn't sort out the weird timing of the drum fill between Heartbreaker and Whole Lotta Love.
That certainly was a remastering clunker that needed rectifying.
But yes, this is my go to version now.
Cheers for the input, guys!
This is off-topic a bit, but since Heywood version is mentioned, do you, by any chance, know where can I find it?

If it is still available, can you send the link please?

It's a descending octaves lick. If you listen TFO studio version, starting at 5:37 mark, you should be able to recognise it. Variation of that was sometimes played in the intro and solo sections of SIBLY.
