I'm not a big fan of G n R, but I am a fan of two of their songs: November Rain and Sweet Child of Mine. -
It's true. It's also interesting how many lines we use (often without realizing it) from "serious" figures such as Shakespeare and Pope.

One summer years ago I worked for a boss who continually played Alice n Chains first album, Facelift, non-stop. They're not exactly my cup of tea, but by the end of the summer I had come to like/appreciate some of their music.

It's true, Charles, we do tend to forget. The first English settlement in North America was founded here in Virginia at Jamestown in 1607. It's a popular tourist site today. The Colonial city of Williamsburg and the Yorktown battlefield are located nearby. All are well worth a visit.

Charles, thanks for posting this photo. I've never been to Nova Scotia, but I've explored some old forts in Ontario and Quebec and loved their history and atmosphere.

I'm a casual Bond fan -- I've seen most of the Bond films. My favorite Bond is Roger Moore. Daniel Craig is a close second. My favorite soundtracks are from Octopussy and Live and Let Die.

I agree -- I don't think Taurus sounds like Stairway It's interesting how (British) elves are typically thought of today as being rather short, odd-looking beings with misshapen ears, etc. This image stands in sharp contrast to the depiction of elves in much of Scandinavian folklore and mythology, where Nordic elves look almost exactly like humans and are often drop-dead gorgeous to boot: Numerous stories of Viking warriors hooking-up with beautiful elf-maidens, etc. Also, Scandinavian elfin mythology dates back at least 2,000 years.

The majority of UFO sightings are easy to explain. Most/all of the "difficult to explain" sightings are probably top secret government aircraft. There's excellent reason to believe that the U.S./U.K./Russian militaries are all highly interested in--and may possibly have perfected--such things as anti-gravity technology, etc. Despite this, I still don't think anybody can completely deny the possibility that extraterrestrial aliens/saucers might in fact exist and be visiting earth.

It seems like an increasing number of physicists now believe that traveling faster than the speed of light might be possible after all, namely, and perhaps, through the use of warp drives and space-time compression/distortion technology.

The English accent is VERY sexy when spoken by a beautiful girl. The English speak with such precision and perfect enunciation. (I'm thinking primarily of the London accent, I suppose. I happened to catch a Vivian Leigh/Laurence Olivier film a few nights ago--Wow!)
