  1. I am a fan of Motley Crue. Saw them in their hey-day- opening for Ozzy Osbourne on his Bark at the Moon tour and they were touring for their Shout at the Devil album, this was in early 1984 at the Summit in Houston, Texas. I saw them again the next year at the same venue and they were headliners touring for the Theatre of Pain album with Y&T opening up for them. Still have my ticket stubs and my t-shirt from the second time I saw them. I also want to add I think the self titled cd they did with John Corabi in 1994 is a fantastic album.
  2. I think that makes sense as Page's hair is still fuller before he had the haircut for the MSG '73 shows filmed for the TSRTS movie. And yes the sun was a deciding factor for me as well. I guess CSI is in use for unknown concert shots and not just cadavers. haha Here are a few shots from the actual Atlanta show-opening night of the '73 US tour- May 4, 1973 at Fulton County Stadium-Atlanta, Georgia The Song Remains the Same Dazed and Confused
  3. Robert and Jimmy-circa 1985 (Jimmy Page is the only person who makes a Lime-Green shirt and tie look cool.)
  4. I like that snowy tree photo- reminds me of Yes or Rush for some reason.

  5. I posted this in the Rory Gallagher thread in the other bands etc section but thought some people might not see it there-so am posting again. Jimmy with Rory Gallagher circa 1984
  6. Rory was a very underrated guitarist and he died way too young. Here is someone else who thought highly of him. circa 1984
  7. Does anyone know where the following two photos are from? I have seen these labeled as Tampa 5-5-73 but what John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page are wearing don't add up with other pics reported to be from this show-even Bonzo might be wearing a different shirt. I have seen Jimmy change jackets etc and full outfits before but he is wearing jeans in these pics and in the others I have always associated as being the true Tampa pics- he is wearing white pants- posted below. Photos that are almost for certain from Tampa 5-5-73 The Song Remains the Same
  8. Jimmy with Lindsey Buckingham, & Brett Tuggle (keyboard player for the Coverdale/Page 1993 7 Japanese shows) backstage at Earls Court in London, December 2003-for a Fleetwood Mac show.
  9. And here is the jacket- only worn one time from what I can gather.
  10. I know these photos are correct because I know someone who took similar photos from the same show and he was at other '77 shows and some in '75 as well. Jimmy changed clothes on some of those shows. Examples. The Chicago 4-10-77 show he starts off in the stormtrooper outfit but after Over the top/Moby dick he is back in the white dragon top and plain white pants like the previous 3 shows in Chicago and Oklahoma and hte starting date in Dallas. All plain pants-not the dragon white pants yet. The LA 6-22-77 show he wore the black dragon suit until he changed into the full white dragon suit after the last part of Over the top/MOby Dick. Guess he wanted people who hadn't seen the previous shows- he wanted them to see his white outfits. Then on the next night for the encores he ditched the white dragon jacket and came back on witha black/ with sparkly stuff all over it- similar to the one at the beginning of The Song Remains the Same video.
  11. Well you are right to a degree haha about it being the 4th sond and yes Jimbo is quite sweaty already but at the second show in LA- 6-22-77 they didn't play 'Over the Hills and Far Away ' till late in the show- after 'Moby Dick' and before jimmy's guitar solo/Achilles Last Stand' but I don't think this pic is from that show for two reasons- He wore the black dragon suit but he did change into the white dargon suit after they came back to finsih 'Over the Top/Moby Dick' -so yes he is in the white dragon suit when they perform Over the Hills and Far away but I have a pic of them during Achilles Last stand after he had changed into the white dragon suit and you can clearly tell there is no real flower pinned to his shoulder. So yes the pic above is during Achilles Last Stand but another odd thing is he used the red Les Paul mainly on Over the Hills and Far Away during the 1977 tour but he sometimes used it on Achilles Last Stand on that tour along with his number one sunburst Les Paul. What is even more wild is the 8mm video footage of this 6-22-77 show - He starts out on the Sunburst Les Paul but some where along the way he has switched to the Red Les Paul- you can see this footage on this site at the main menu in the video section. I had always had the silent footage but someone has matched up the actual sound and it looks good. Here is a pic from earlier in the show 6-22-77-In My Time of Dying And during Achilles Last Stand 6-22-77
  12. You are right that is Sick Again being played- I am wanting to know which show. Here is another photo from the same show-he is either playing 'Over the Hills and far Away' or 'Achilles Last Stand' .
  13. Steve or anyone else. I have seen pics from this show but don't know exactly where it is from. You can tell the show as Jimmy has a real flower pinned to his right shoulder. I am thinking it is from one of the LA 1977 shows. Maybe from the 1st show june 21st. I know it is not from the 22nd as he wore the black dragon suit. Anyone know for sure?
  14. What is the difference between a blonde and a mosquito? Well usually a mosquito will quit sucking after being slapped.
  15. Cecil are you sure you don't moonlight as KK Dowing in Judas Priest
  16. Al you kinda look like Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd in this pic.
  17. I have just listened to the complete Vienna audience source-no sb has surfaced and there is no cut-it wasn't performed.
  18. I can agree with that- I will say they really extended the Trampled Underfoot, Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta LOve at that last show in Berlin though so time doesn't seem to be at the upmost thought lol.
  19. That is just not a damn good answer Stevie-O j/k well maybe we just won't ever know.
  20. I recently went to the site Royal Orleans and saw that some of the roadies and crew from Led Zep post over there - I didn't sign up but I have a question for the SteveAJones mystery thread- why was Achilles Last Stand dropped at the Vienna 6-26-80 and Berlin 7-7-80 shows? It was played at every other show beginning on the US 1977 tour till the European 1980 tour but those 2 dates. Except at the Chicago 9, 1977 show because Jimmy became ill and the Tampa 6-3-77 show because it was canceled due to the rain and thunderstorm. Any ideas?
  21. that suit Jimmy is wearing almost looks like the one he wore at the Atlantic 40th Annv. Zep reunion in 1988. But I am sure that was a newer one.
  22. I have seen the pics for the Austin show in the book-'the Photographers' and no it is not from there. I don't have any pics from that show scanned and there are some of Jimmy full on and he is wearing different clothes-all I could find is this one shot from his backside. It is not from the Central park show either. Although they played Rock me baby at both of these Bad Company shows as well haha There is another show from April 3, 1979 Birmingham, West Midlands, England Where Robert Plant, John Bonham and Jimmy Page join Bad Company for an encore performance of I'm Going Down but no pics for that show and Jimmy's hair doesn't match for that period. Bam -I think I found it- May 23, 1976 Inglewood, California The Forum ---Jimmy Page and Robert Plant joined Bad Company (vocalist Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs, drummer Simon Kirke, guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Boz Burrell) on stage. have the audio for this show to and Jimmy blows Mick Ralphs off the stage. haha I only have the version of I wanna make love to you-not the other 3 songs. Setlist -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Train Kept A-Rollin' 2. You Shook Me 3. Bring It On Home 4. I Just Wanna Make Love To You
  23. I had seen the 2nd photo a few years back and couldn't figure out where it was from. First thought was when Jimmy and Robert Plant sat in with Foreigner in Munich 5-12-82 on an encore of Lucille. Then I saw the first pic recently and on the Achilles Last Stand site they claim these pics are from- London, Rainbow Theatre December 19, 1974 with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones join Duster Bennett and Bad Company (vocalist Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs, drummer Simon Kirke, guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Boz Burrell) in an encore playing Rock me baby. After seeing the first pic- you can see Bad Company on the bass drum head and you can see Mick Ralphs behind Jimmy. But I have a problem with the date as I have never seen Jimmy use that yellow guitar strap until the warm-up shows in Copenhagen 1979 and the Knebworth shows in 1979. He used that yellow strap up until the second Firm tour. But his hair matches the time period in late 1974-1975. Anyone have any ideas- again it might be the right date-just curious what anyone else thinks as these are rarely seen pics.
