  1. Ha ha, just looking at the article in the picture... John Bonham, "I suppose you're here to interview the usual two."
  2. I thought Eddie Kramer's claim that the Carnegie Hall show in 1969 was recorded professionally was debunked. I mean, if it was, surely it would've been better on the Led Zeppelin companion disc than the awful sounding Paris gig that did end up on there.
  3. That man bag is completely unacceptable. I've just burned all my Zeppelin albums.
  4. It wasn't an attempt at an answer, it was merely an observation (intended with a bit of humour). I realise all these things that Plant says 'grate' with you (which is fair enough) but to me, I find them mildly amusing & tend to just get on with my life without worrying about what some millionaires are saying about each other on the telly.
  5. This is the actual quote, which I believe has been relayed by Robert Plant:- “I’ve had it with playing drums. Everybody plays better than me. I’ll tell you what, when we get to the rehearsal, you play the drums and I’ll sing.” Not really worth over analysing is it? The problem with John Bonham was that he was an alcoholic, very, very sad but there you go.
  6. Parties at your house must be a riot.
  7. Where are you from? I can't speak for anyone else but all me & my pals ever do is rip the piss out of each other, it's just the way a lot of blokes in Britain behave. Jones & Page clearly don't take it to heart or we would have never had the O2 gig. If you don't find him funny, that's fine, but I really wouldn't take his flippant comments so seriously.
  8. Some serious sense of humour bypasses on here.
  9. Rich people love money, money is generally their incentive in life. If someone had the tape they would've sold it for a fortune by now.
  10. I reckon if there was really good footage somewhere, we would've seen it by now, there would be a lot of money to be made if someone had it in their private collection. Very unfortunate but I'd be amazed if anything came out now, footage-wise other than the Bath Festival stuff that's been discussed elsewhere along with the odd hand held thing from people at gigs.
  11. What he said. Quite why people have to take everything Plant says so seriously is beyond me, he's a very funny man if you take it the way it's intended.
  12. I didn't even realise you were the same person who posted that article, no grudge here & apologies if it came across that way. Maybe we just disagree on some things, which happens. I don't think my post on this thread was particularly aggressive towards you though & I've no interest in discussing politics on here.
  13. I've listened to both of his last two albums a lot more than a couple of times. Your comment about Plant as a songwriter is purely subjective, in terms of melody, I think he's as good as any singer out there. Back on topic, I wouldn't pay over the odds for most things, I'm merely interested in buying the CDs & listening to the music, I'm not fussed about clothes or deluxe boxes.
  14. It is Molineux, not sure about the details but it looks like a charity match/testimonial sometime in the mid 70s.
  15. I don't think it's Robert Plant moving on we need to worry about.
  16. I'd prefer it if they announced it mid Summer & released it in September for the anniversary. Christmas is a load of bollocks.
  17. Out on the Tiles Since I've been Loving You Tea for One Whole Lotta Love Four Sticks Dancing Days Ten Years Gone In the Light Dazed & Confused That's the Way

    Joe Walsh

Have you heard So What? That's one of my favourite albums, I love it the whole way through.
  19. I would give Kravitz's Circus album a miss then, possibly the closest thing we've had to Zeppelin since September 1980 (other than the reunions).
  20. I'm pretty sure Hendrix was supporting The Monkees & went down like a knackered lift on most dates.
