What show or live song are you listening to now?
jimjam replied to Misfit's topic in Led Zeppelin Live
One of my favourite Zep songs: -
Filth by Irvine Welsh, which I'm enjoying so far. Also, The Sociology of Health and Illness for college, which I'm not enjoying quite so much.
-
I've been listening to a Scottish band called Mogwai a lot recently. Their latest album (released this year) is probably my least favourite of theirs, but it's still very good.

Bauhaus - The Sky's Gone Out -
That's sad, Charles, but can I just say that for some people there is no ''upside'' to life or living. I don't suppose that's a very easy thing to understand if you're someone who feels generally okay, or happy, even. If you are able to find a reason to keep going then you should feel lucky and grateful, but not everyone is the same.

My iPod's broken, and I can't find the receipt to prove I only bought it eight months ago and so should come under the guarantee. Great.

Misfits re-runs, remembering how much I loved Simon (Iwan Rheon) the first time I watched it. Anyway, don't expect anyone here to know what I'm on about.

The Smiths - Pretty Girls Make Graves. Good song. -
Lipslikecherries (it won't let me quote you for some reason), I'm also sorry for your loss. And though having a stranger tell you that is probably is little comfort, I do mean it. I can only hope your friend and colleague finds peace now.

Trying to book train tickets to get away next weekend, though it's frustrating me so much that I may just give up.

^^ People do look better naturally, exactly. I suppose it's just another example of women feeling pressurized to look a certain way.

I don't understand why so many girls/women want a tan all the time. Where I live, you don't have a natural tan unless you've been abroad, and yet if you go out in the summer it seems everyone has brown (or worse, orange) skin. It's not natural, not here, and I don't think it really makes you any more attractive. But that's clearly just me, as I appear to be one of very few young women who has white skin all year around.

I've drunk Zeppelin Cider, and don't consider myself a ''sad bastard''. You shouldn't put yourself down, pph

Mad. One day boiling hot and the next pouring down with rain. I wish it'd make its mind up.

I understand your frustration. As a 16 y/o on a low wage, I'm constantly broke with all the books and music I want to buy (and I don't part with my hard-earned money easily, either). Luckily for me there was a new-ish guitar in the family that had never been used, so I didn't have to worry about paying for that. I'm not a really a Who fan, but I feel I should say one thing in their defence. When you're on stage, in front of hundreds or thousands of people, it gives you one hell of an adrenalin kick. This is something I've only encountered on a small scale, but Robert P has spoken of this, as have many other musicians. You need to do something with that energy, you can't just go home and go to bed. One thing you can do, I guess, is to smash your instruments up. Is this the best way to release the adrenalin? Well, no. It is unfair on the people in the audience who'd do anything to be able to afford a guitar (or who work hard and are saving up for one) and who have helped you be able to afford your equipment in the first place. Without fans a band would be nowhere, and just as broke as they are. So though I don't think they should have acted that way as often as they did, I don't think it was just childish fun.

Anyone else find tarot cards fascinating?
jimjam replied to The Love That I Found's topic in Ramble On
Thank you for the info, I'll look them up and see for myself. I too like the sound of the second one more. If I come across one that's particularly good or interesting, I'll post here and let you know. -

I'm interested in learning more about tarot so maybe I should get a book to read. What's the title, if you don't mind? Would you recommend it? -

Joy Divison - New Dawn Fades from ''Unknown Pleasures'', a favourite album of mine. -
Vegan pancakes with raw chocolate spread and banana. Yum!

Shame Spector ignored him anyway. Can totally understand why Paul didn't like him. I hate what he did to LIB, though I suppose he did the best he could with a bunch of crap tapes. Anwyay, happy birthday Paul. I'll be listening to this

I feel terrible that I never recognised the name, but it seems she had a fascinating life.
-
^^^ I love that. He'll be missed.

It was a big shock given how young he still was. May he rest in peace.
