  1. Here's a blast from the past. Loudon Wainwright doing Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road.
  2. In the history of rock and roll has anyone else ever ... set dates for a tour, promoted it, even starting selling tickets to several of the shows... without saying who is playing? I love it. Only something to do with Led Zeppelin could do that and get away with it!!!
  3. Now the Riverside show and many of the canadian shows are available on Ticketmaster, but the jblze website still says ticket sale date TBA or onsale date is several days away. What is up???
  4. Following up on my own post: They charged my cc today for the Riverside CA tickets. I have never been so lucky to get front row before they even officially went onsale. SWEET!!! Can't wait to get the actual tickets inhand. They say 10-14 days.
  5. give the kid a break. He lost his father when he was 14. He's been living in the shadow of, and is endlessly compared to his father. He loves Led Zeppelin and wants to see both his father and Led Zeppelin and himself in the spotlight. There is nothing wrong with that IMO, especially since there is little collaboration between any of the other bandmembers other than the plant/page 95, 98 tours, then the reunion.
  6. ATX by Alberta Cross. They warmed up TCV in May.
  7. Somehow the other day I was able to get tix to riverside, CA. I bought ten tix in the VIP section in the front. I cannot believe how lucky I am. I think so anyway. What's weird is that now Ticketmaster doesn't even list the show, and the jblze.com website lists tickets sale date TBA. I've got confirmations by email, but they still haven't charged my cc. They are on the myticketmaster tab for shows I have tickets to. TM must've screwed up is all I can figure. This reminds me of the zeppelin reunion where harvey was going to cancel the tickets of anyone who got theirs from ebay. Am I going or am I not???
  8. Hello Buckeye!!! Many many thanks for posting this. since you let me know about this I also went on Ticketmaster and I got 21st row!!! I tried to get some when they first went onsale but only the top of the house(literally) were available. I'm shooting for Nassau since that's where the original show was played. The question is: which one will gilmour play?? As for these tix available, I think you're right. They were part of a package that didn't sell in time so they released them as seats only. Again. Thank you bigtime!
  9. Ozzfest this Sunday in Camden. I've never seen Motley Crue before, plus ozzy's got a new guitarist for this tour for the first time in many years.
  10. Very strange indeed. I don't recall ever seeing a show go onsale and then disappear like that. Anyone???
  11. That would be sweet. Here's Slash doing communication breakdown recorded by none other than bigzepfan.
  12. SPOILER ALERT - this posting reveals the bass player. This is not official. By going to the lemon squeezings site and then following a link to another link i just found out who the bass player is going to be. Of course it's not official so I certainly can't say there's any accuracy here. He's from TLM. The Lynch Mob And the answer is: MIchael Devin :bravo:
  13. Road Trip! Two tix front row dead center! And more for friends in the second row. Still no word on who's playing with him...only two months+ to go til the first show.
  14. I heard these guys for the first time when they warmed up Them Crooked Vultures in Indianapolis. I bought their CD when I saw them the next night in Chicago. since I've been back home I haven't listened to much else. On the top right of this page is their songs off the album. You can just click and listen to every song. http://albertacross.net/ I love every song, but ATX is a jam. Wait til you hear the singer's voice. It reminds me of early on listening to Zep. robert's voice was like a fourth instrument that other bands didn't have. This guy's voice is just amazing.
  15. OMG - this was on an old album I had which was one song from each band, but I can't remember the name of the album. I just thought back to when I was a kid listening to this song over and over and over. It's been a long long time. Thanks for the memories!!!
  16. I've thought long and hard and decided that since these are the last two shows in the states - I'm going. Tix are still available through ticket vendor sites for about $100. Although the rumour mill has them doing another album and coming back again I really don't want to chance it. Anything can happen at anytime and in the Rock and Roll world often does. I really think they should continue, as I obviously love them, but as we know there are no guarantees in life. Unfortunately none of my circle of friends are crazy enough as me to drive halfway across the country to see a rock and roll band so I put out an open invite to anyone interested. Over eighteen only! I'm driving from NY to Indy on 5/16, the indy show is 5/17, then drive to chicago either that night or the next morning. See the final US show and then drive back to NY on 5/19. May stop at the rock and roll hall of fame on the way home, depends on timing. I have room for three if anyone is interested. it's going to be a blast!
  17. Ross is a dirtbag. What a horrible thing to say about this venture. If you like the idea-great. If you don't -fine, no problem. but to accuse jason of this is pitiful to say the least.
  18. Thank you for posting!! This was the final Plant/Page show that I saw. Brings back some great memories. They were sooo good.
  19. I just lined up quite a few shows. May 17 - Them Crooked Vultures - Indianapolis May 18 - Them Crooked Vultures - Chicago May 22 - Slash at the Borgata, Atlantic City, NJ - 4th row! May 23 - STP/Alice in Chains - Camden, NJ. June 5 - Jeff Beck at the Borgata, Atlantic City, NJ - 3rd row June 17 - Jeff Beck at the Ulster Performing Arts Cener, Kingston, NY - (My Hometown!!!) - 5th row! September 3 - Rush at PNC, Holmdel, NJ The Zep tribute with Jason will also be a definite and maybe Robert?? I'm going to hold off until I hear the new stuff before I decide. Oh, and Them Crooked Vultures as many times as I possibly can when they return! Other possiblities - it's a busy summer, yes with frampton, ringo and the allstars, clapton/beck at the bluesfest in june, ozzy, metallica hopefully, skynyrd, george throughgood with robert cray, alice cooper with rob zombie. 2010 will Rock!
  20. I heard the new band is on hold. Makes me wonder if he contacted the original members to see if they were interested in doing it together...and to get their OK. Concerns: Who are the handpicked session players? How can anyone stand in for Jimmy Page??? Hopes: Possibility of 02 Footage??
  21. I've got alot of Led on cassette. I only used Maxell udxlII-90. Many boots. I used to buy an album, put it on cassette and never listen to the album again. Many of my albums are played once, except of course the destroyer which I just couldn't help myself!
  22. Thx for posting! I have the Jugula album but never heard of that one. Love Jimmy on the slide.
  23. This is fantastic news that they're doin' it again. I was lucky enough to see the final show of their US tour last year in Atlantic City from the front row and hung out with the band afterwards. They have the guitar player from Heart playing with them. They have sooo many good songs. One after another after another. They just kept coming. This is a great interview with Paul. Thanks for posting. At the end of the clip it says it will be on the radio free this Saturday night. To everyone goin' -- enjoy to the max!
