  1. yeah jetcat that was an awesome story man! i think everyone here who never had the chance to see them cannot believe how amazing it must have been for someone like you to see them 6 times it was? jesus..and in 3 different eras. one question: how was When The Levee Breaks live, my good sir??
  2. crazy thread guys, im loving it....does anyone have any photos of Jimmy on the night of this fateful show?
  3. what i would give to be at one of these Zeppelin marathons: Boston Tea Party 1969, LA Forum 1970, MSG 1970, Electric Magic Show 1971, LA Forum 1972, Seattle Center Coliseum 1972, Seattle 1975, LA 1975, Nassau Coliseum 1975, all Earls Court 1975 shows, all LA shows 1977...jesus....just to have recordings of all of those shows is a huge huge thing
  4. FUCK YEAH!!! ME TOO!!!! love BCW and all the other Houses songs on this night 1972 west coast was insanity ! who can argue with Dancing Days twice
  5. 2/14/1975 Nassau Coliseum.....what an excellent show, and to think this is my first time hearing it! ive been into Zepp bootlegs for 10 years now and ive missed this one until now! that "If You Can't Rock me" / Heartbreaker / Mess of Blues / end of Heartbreaker (with Bonzo out of time) medley is insane, wish theyd have done more of this in 75
  6. was that Opryland ? the production company that filmed everything? if anything, if we all want answers to what happened to Zeppelin footage, THATS the company to get a hold of
  7. keep in mind, listen to The Rover's phase 90 slathered intro? it sounds perfect, the phase sweeps perfectly with the timing, and its very hard to dial in that sound on my own script Phase 90. BUT, remember Jimmy was the studio professional of all time, and Im sure any kinda sound he wanted to get out of any pedal he could get it and could also use some studio gimmickry or pedals in unison with the main sound to accomodate is tonal aspirations
  8. a Flanger would be a whole different galaxy of sound and would be very cool to hear it played with one just for shits. The Phase 90 was used for it on the O2 with the Whammy being pressed down for the higher octave
  9. the key is to listen to the last note that Jimmy lets hang and echo on the riff, and what effects can you hear carrying the sound? im hearing mostly MXR Phase 90 which is what im 100% sure he used in the studio too, but he could've used the Harmonizer just a little little bit and thats why we get such an unidentifiable but thick as fuck phase tone...
  10. listening to The Wanton Song, Chicago 1975....fuckin love that Phase 90

  11. Roger Goodell needs to resign....what an ass

  13. i dunno about you guys, but theres something about the live versions of When The Levee Breaks that just get me going...its that steel wall of sound of Zeppelin from the 1975 US Tour....you can hear Jimmy using his MXR Phase 90 on the slide, and later during the soloing you can hear him hit his wah-wah pedal on and it sounds pretty sick...these versions are brutal and I consider it a huge gift just to have those two versions of this great song live
