  1. Not that I'm complaining. Listened to it this morning before work and I've had it in my head all day. This song can bring me to tears. Robert's voice is beautiful in a whole other dimension.
  2. Thank you! Happy belated birthday to you too! I had to look up those people you mentioned, they seem pretty cool! Definitely a step up from Joey Essex who we also share a birthday with (UK reality TV star ).
  3. Aww Strider we share the same birthday! I just turned 30! Fellow Leo like our man Robert, not that I actually believe in any of that, haha.
  4. Happy Birthday, Robert Plant! All of my love to you
  5. Not been on here in a while but have been listening to Zep constantly this past month. Needed to indulge in some Robert. Just in time for his birthday too. Sigh...this man
  6. Well, I've not been on here for a long time. 2015 was a tough year and I pretty much gave up for a bit. Back in time for Robert's 68th ?

  7. Blaaaaaaaaaaah. That pretty much sums it up.

  8. My long term partner's mother and grandfather both passed away this year. What a time it's been :(
  9. No Zeppelin stuff but I got a pretty decent telescope, so I'm happy! Been so busy over Christmas and New Year that I've barely been on the forum. Hope everyone had fun over the holidays

    Hot pics of Jimmy

Been stressing with work and uni work lately...nothing like looking at Jimmy's beautiful face to help calm me down. Lovely pics
  11. Absolutely gorgeous! You are so naturally beautiful! What a great picture, thank you for sharing
  12. Hey marlam, I'll have a look at that thread, thanks for that, and I'll check out those people too I find it all super interesting. After failing so miserably the first time I tried (to be fair I was only a kid) it just seems so scary, but this just makes me want to try even more, haha! Oh wow, that's impressive! But I guess you're right, to just go for what seems most appealing to you. When I think about it I'd probably try skiing, don't like being defeated!
  13. That sounds like a lot of fun! I'd definitely like to take up some kind of sport like that. I thought about snowboarding, although I'm sure I heard ages ago that it would be better to learn to ski first...then again I may just be making that up lol, is there any truth in it? What are the names of the people you met and got an autograph form?
  14. I'm only at the end of my first year so have been doing a lot of pre-calculus stuff, I'm maybe a couple of weeks away from moving onto proper calculus. Hopefully I won't hit any walls! I've read Calculus for the Practical Man, which is the book Feynman learned it from. Obviously I didn't have all the foundations in place but I managed to work some of it out. So I'm hoping I'll manage it now that I'm taking the proper steps. Calculus for the Practical Man by J.E. Thompson http://physsocyork.co.uk/notes/J.%20E.%20Thopmson--Calculus%20for%20the%20practical%20man.pdf
  15. Staring at the 135 pages of maths I have to study and finding it very difficult to find the motivation. Going to have to employ an internet ban for the next few hours I think.

Well done, sir. She's something else.
  17. Advanced maths is just lots of beginner maths all added together! I honestly believe that you can learn anything if you break it into small enough steps. That's why I have an annoying habit of believing I can do anything given enough effort lol. It's why I have so many hobbies and not enough time to do them, haha! The era you mentioned is such a turning point in astronomy and science in general! Such wonderful minds! And then, of course, Newton was just phenomenal. Physics lies at the heart of my interests and I love the application of it in the field of astronomy and also cosmology. The colourised photograph below is one of my favourites, so many great minds in once place! I'm sure you will have seen it. It was taken at the Solvay Conference in 1927. Einstein, Dirac, Planck, Heisenberg, de Broglie, Curie, Schrödinger, Bohr, Pauli...astounding!
  18. These are so great that I want to reply to everyone...so I will, haha! What a fantastic photograph Strider! Such warm and happy vibes, love it! I play guitar too Hannah...I'm so envious! Look at that smile on Jimmy's face, it must of been wonderful meeting him And it's lovely to meet you too! Marlam I'm guessing that SkiExpo is some sort of skiing convention? That's pretty cool, I tried to ski once when I was a teenager, it did not go well, haha! Would love to give it a go again though. And lcondo123 thanks for posting those videos, I play drums a little so it's great to see that, you're really good! So lovely so see everyone! Really nice to put faces to the names

Thank you for the response, I think this explains it perfectly...I've never thought about it that way before. Having this record of Jimmy's life must help us to connect his older self to his younger self. I was drawn to the music first too and then aesthetically it was actually Robert who first caught my eye...but the more I learn about Jimmy the more I am drawn to him. And I totally agree with you...in 'It Might Get Loud' Jimmy's passion is so apparent that I barely notice the other two, it's so endearing. As a very passionate person myself I think I naturally seek that out in others. The sheer power of the music must help also, when you watch Jimmy playing guitar and making this astoundingly beautiful, powerful music that really resonates and makes you feel so good, you must connect those feelings to the person producing it.

    Hot pics of Jimmy

So I was just browsing pics of Jimmy and I came across this and thought that it was a great photo of him...love his smile his eyes light up when he smiles...sigh. And I'm looking at it and I get to thinking...there's Jack White who's much closer to my age and is cool and talented and all, blah, blah, blah...and I'm just not into him, nor am I into The Edge. Then there's this 70 year old man (I know he's a bit younger in this pic but even in interviews from days ago) and I'm hopelessly attracted to him as if he was 25 years old! I just cannot see age with him. I don't get it. And I'm starting to realise that I'm as attracted to older Jimmy as younger Jimmy, there's just no denying it. I have never liked a man 42 years my senior before, not even close. What is going on? What is it about Jimmy Page? Do any of you wonderful ladies understand where I'm coming from? There really is something about him...and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Gorgeous...is this anyone in particular or just a random photo? Tell me about it.
  23. Thank you! And I agree, most of the time young girls don't realise that they can look beautiful but still be respected.
  24. Too much...my lord...can you imagine actually being next to him in real life when those pictures were taken?
  25. Oh my days guys...not quite sure how to respond, haha! Major blushing right now. Thank you for the compliments, you're all too kind
