I suppose the idea of publishing the audio online for everyone is not a possibility ?

There must be a way to match up a color image of the dragon Telecaster and superimpose it on to a black and white shot, to get perfect color match. Like with Danish TV using some of the color pics that exist and matching it up, even on the video.
Yes for sure, it's pretty easy to do actually on a single shot. You can barely see the front of the telecaster here, so I didn't bother doing that

I have no idea how you go about doing something like that but I sure love it. Many thanks for the post.
Thanks everybody,
It takes time, you go element by element, work on each colors for each element and you really need to pay attention to the light so that the colors/atmosphere of the whole scene make sense.
And yes, that's a big fold on JPJ shirt !

That Slingerland drum kit was blue.
Oh really ? Apparently it was grey .. If any of you have some others input, such as the color of the background, or Robert's shirt
edit : actually it might have been green or blue .

Hi,
I've been doing colorization on old pictures as part of my work as a photographer, for my clients, and wanted to give back a bit to the community.
Here's the first performance of Led Zeppelin as the New yardbirds colorized. I tried to be as close to the reality as possible (I've check for the color of Jimmy's strap, the drum kit ..)
Hope you like it !

Such a great surprise ! The 16mm quality is quite amazing, the camera work is great. Hopefully some high quality sound will come out as well, but I'm really happy with that already !

This is great, the very fine grain, the quality and the colors could make someone believe it was taken today.

Thanks ! I love it too, the minute I saw Jimmy Page playing it at the Royal Albert Hall I fell in love.

Great project my friend. Really nice playing and tone throughout.
Whenever I see note-for-note playing I always hope to see some of YOUR playing in it. That whole end bit was ripe for some of your own soloing. From watching you play it is clear you could do that.
Enjoyed what I saw, no doubt about that. Cheers.
Thank you very much ! Yes actually I thought about doing an ending with a solo like on the lives versions, but unfortunately it's a bit tricky when the backing track isn't doing the whole outro "descending" bass line as well, it might sound out of key, but I could have done a solo just in E that's true.

Hi !
I just did a cover of Whole lotta Love, that was pretty fun to make, especially the middle section. Maybe I should have tried to use my Pitch shifter too, that could have been a great idea.

Sounds like something Deep purple would do.

As BobDobbs said, it's a commond line, you can hear it in Stand by me by Ben E King too.

Jimi Hendrix died 50 years ago today. The greatest loss in music in my opinion.
I don't believe in heaven or religion at all, but I sure wish he's having fun jaming up there. RIP.

That's a great sound, i'd love to listen to it !

Totally agree with jsj, Page is terrible here..
-
It's Jimmy, no doubt about it.

So if i'm not mistaken, Robert Plant got sick right after this show ? His voice is tremendous here, yet 3 days later for the famous live at the Gladsaxe Teen Club in Gladsaxe his voice was not in good shape.

Agree about IMTOD, once you are in the right open tunning, it's pretty easy.
One song that seems hard to compose is TSRTS, The hybrid picking is pretty hard, even more on a 12 strings, and the whole chord/triads progression is beautiful.

On the "Studio Magik 1968-1980" you will find alternate takes of many songs, no multi-tracks but there's some instrumentals.

I can't remember for sure, but a few years ago, I saw a picture (on this forum maybe) of a rehearsal for the 77' tour, a there was a pedalsteel guitar (with Jimmy ?), it's been so long, I can't remember any details
