Me too....only I took the cover off as I often made collages and stuff, and lost the magazine, but the cover remains. One of my all time favs of the entire band.

Indeed! And yes, Shrieve IS very down to earth and still loves creating music. He was only 19 or so on that first tour, and at Woodstock. I saw Santana twice Before I saw Zeppelin, at the same venue. We got all the west coast bands here. Mrs. Santana wrote a great read on being ...Mrs. Santana.

As far as the toilet seat goes Del, if you want a happy woman you'll put the seat down. Have YOU ever sat on it while it was up?? Not so much fun. I've had the upper hand, so to speak in these cases where I've had to live with men. I charged one dollar for every time said violater did the deed, marking the times on the mirror with soap. It always worked. Yes, I was a hard-ass about it but you have to teach little boys respect or they'll never learn it. And.. I WAS the one who had to Clean the stinkin thing anyway!

Dang, this makes me want to give it a whirl again. RER is a great teacher! I gave my last good harp to a dear friend who passed away. I think my next music store buy will be that, a ukulele and some bongos. I could never play a real tune with the harps I've had, but they are just so fun to play WITH.

I am just so happy. He has a much more optimistic, compassionate, "come together" attitude we have not had since Kennedy! I'm jazzed at his enthusiasm.

It's such a cliche, but I really love the first few years of Santana, then he himself went off and though his playing is incredible, I found when he started teaming up with hitmakers a bit ......meh...nauseating. Just by himself he's great! His sound is totally unique. And full of soul/love. Mike Shrieve........ah...I had such a HUGE crush on him. I saw Santana one of the earlier concerts 69ish, maybe even 68. I was like 14, and I met them all. Long story. Ohhh do I remember Chepito!
