    Pet Peeves

I just noticed we must need this again. See, I get all caught up in this board sometimes, and you sit here when no one is posting and it is dull as a bad kitchen knife, so as soon as someone posts you feel like telling them this or that. That's when I back off the pc and take a break. Come back, and people are still bitching but you can find a few new things. I refuse to let some dingbat get me mad. Life is too sweet to get into it. Though I do want to sometimes. K, my pet peeve right now? Petty doesn't have us on his tour. *edited so Aqua doesn't get pissed at me for spelling.*
  5. I respect your opine Rover, to each their own. And not being interested IN football, I found it very entertaining. * Love those butts up in the air! *
  6. My Little honey bee played ALL the songs he knew would get the fans excited again. And it worked, I've been tracking the tour and signed up for a contest as well. These guys are my Americana. As I've said a million times, Mike Campbell is just inf*ckingcredible. Oh yeah.......
  7. Neato-jet.^ I swear after listening to all the debates, I KNOW I could not stand to hear Hillary's stretched vocal chords for four friggen years. Whew...no way! Like a nagging housewife. Yuk. I prefer Obama's soft gentle voice. He moves pretty good too! I was watching some commercial where these people were dancing and I thought it was Obama. I thought, man, that dude can move it! I still need glasses.
  8. Have to admit it was a great game. Most of all TOM PETTY ! Unfortunately he has not added us to the tour schedule. I have to see him this time. May have to go to a neighbor state. " I don't think that's right."
  9. Late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Lineup sounds so swell, even if some I do not consider Jazz. I just can't handle festivals anymore. Just too many people for me. I'd wind up being a nervous wreck trying desperately to get in front for all the different stages. MAYBE.....if I could find some 8 inch platform shoes I could do it. These things reallllly suck for us short people.
  11. EXCATLY Paul, now there's four or more who agree! I DO hope he does return with SS in the future, they are great.
  12. My eyes are exceedingly hoping.................... SAJ needs to UPGRADE....oh my. Please do Steve!
  13. My home town garage band who covered all the 80's stuff. THE VILLIANS and THE GAMMA RAYS local as well. We had alot of fun.
  14. OMG!! That is so funny! I despise Country, but I do love Willie. I think he & Robert should hook up.... I relate country to alcoholic behavior.
  15. Well, heck yeah I'm getting old. Brain is still in the teen early twenties though, with the wisdom of real years. I had the greatest time in those years. I'm just glad we now have alot more geezers like me on the board these days. When you squat down to get something on a low shelf and you can't get up because your knee is "stuck" that is one indicator. In fact I may have to get my left knee fixed like I did with my right one, torn miniscus....ouch! I'm just glad I was a teen when all the groovy stuff was happening.
  16. I admit I like some cheesy songs from Michael Bolton and Lionel Richie. Oh, and Train. *btw* My hubby and I used to have that REO LP too.
  17. I believe Bush is a douchebag. And the speed limit......only limit in cities. And...I'll take a beer as well.
  18. THANK YOU everybody, indeed helpful. Not so Sunny this week though... Wow, just saw on the news all the flooding and snow near Bakersfield. I once worked in San Jose, lived just outside in Campbell. Lived in Santa Maria, COLD!! Too windy. Spent two years as a child in San Diego and that is what lures me. Memories of the beach as a kid. I also stayed right on the beach once, in Carpinteria. And Marina Del Ray. But from what you have all said, sounds like Hermosa would be really good. Yes, I've been to the nude beach up north. Gay guys wouldn't bother me a bit! Literally!!! I do also remember La Jolla.....I LOVED that beach! It's just been so long, I really wondered if anywhere was still nice. From Del's and Alison's post sounds like it isn't as bad as I invisioned. Big thanks you guys!
