Lineup sounds so swell, even if some I do not consider Jazz. I just can't handle festivals anymore. Just too many people for me. I'd wind up being a nervous wreck trying desperately to get in front for all the different stages. MAYBE.....if I could find some 8 inch platform shoes I could do it. These things reallllly suck for us short people.

Well, heck yeah I'm getting old. Brain is still in the teen early twenties though, with the wisdom of real years. I had the greatest time in those years. I'm just glad we now have alot more geezers like me on the board these days. When you squat down to get something on a low shelf and you can't get up because your knee is "stuck" that is one indicator. In fact I may have to get my left knee fixed like I did with my right one, torn miniscus....ouch! I'm just glad I was a teen when all the groovy stuff was happening.

I admit I like some cheesy songs from Michael Bolton and Lionel Richie. Oh, and Train. *btw* My hubby and I used to have that REO LP too.

THANK YOU everybody, indeed helpful. Not so Sunny this week though... Wow, just saw on the news all the flooding and snow near Bakersfield. I once worked in San Jose, lived just outside in Campbell. Lived in Santa Maria, COLD!! Too windy. Spent two years as a child in San Diego and that is what lures me. Memories of the beach as a kid. I also stayed right on the beach once, in Carpinteria. And Marina Del Ray. But from what you have all said, sounds like Hermosa would be really good. Yes, I've been to the nude beach up north. Gay guys wouldn't bother me a bit! Literally!!! I do also remember La Jolla.....I LOVED that beach! It's just been so long, I really wondered if anywhere was still nice. From Del's and Alison's post sounds like it isn't as bad as I invisioned. Big thanks you guys!

He must hate ol Roddy. He does indeed trash Rod at many, many occasion. And of course "He's allowed his opinion" jeez. But I truly don't get such harsh words over and over about Rod. Just because he has had smash hit LP's doing what Robert considers "cabaret." Rod's voice went through hell and back having cancer removed. I will gladly admit to loving alot of Rod's work. I LOVE his voice, and he hasn't done anything THAT different than Robert....trying different genres he never had. Let's see, how many LP's of Rods went Platinum in the first weeks????? I'll stick up for Rod. To each their own. And besides...Rod has soooo many hot ex's and little babies popping out so often, he pretty much might HAVE to "flirt with cabaret!" Are they really that polluted now??? ^ I saw something on Hermosa Beach on TV the other day and it looked ok. What about Hunnington Beach?? (sp?) I've lived on and off in California, and though Northern has it's pluses, I'm craving Southern. EL, that site is scary...but helpful. Glad to see some rich big wig gave up a right-of-way, as it should be. (Malibu) Thanks Hermit ! Where's Klu on this? He lives in Redondo doesn't he?
