  1. Probably takes a great deal of time to get them each in releasable shape, and I'm sure at his age he has other ideas of how to spend his time besides reworking everything in a studio. I'm not so bothered by it... He won't leave us hanging for too much longer, I don't think. Edit: of course, I certainly wish he'd do what you are suggesting. Would be a great gift to the fans.
  2. I am confident we have multiple live official releases in store over the course of a few years. He cares too greatly about Led Zeppelin for it not to be the case.
  3. Plenty to be excited about. Page said new live release and that it won't be the last. If you are so turned off by it you don't have to concern yourself with it, you realize.
  4. Very interesting article to get a glimpse of the times.
  5. "I know there were a lot of words, but if you actually read them you will understand Crimson Avengers opinion of the vocalists’ prowess." There is only one way that the above comes across. Very unnecessary. I asked him to elaborate on something I was curious about. Which he did, thanks crimson.
  6. I thought you were all about peace and love Walter?
  7. @Crimson Avenger What did you think of the singer's voice live? I like his voice on the albums but not much at all live. It doesn't sound like there's power behind it, just falsetto highs. No real intensity. That's my biggest gripe when people say he sounds like (early) Plant...he really doesn't to me, he can't get as high and there is just no power to it. I wonder if you thought otherwise seeing him live.
  8. If anyone wants to post a review particularly on the sound it would be very, very welcome (is it noticeably less brickwalled?)! I won't be able to listen to mine until next weekend... damnit. I figure this topic belongs in the Reissues section, unless I'm wrong.
  9. One of the most intense shows I've heard. EDIT: FWIW, after completing my listen to this show again tonight...I downgrade it just a touch! Remains one of Plant's all-time performances as far as I'm concerned, but after listening to other shows for the first time recently from this era, it's just too short, for whatever reason Page does not seem exceedingly revved up, though he does play pretty damn nicely within the framework he sets forth. Seems like an overall contained performance, and within that containment, they go absolutely ape shit, if that makes any sense to anyone whatsoever! Example being he hardly let's Plant do the boogie rap. They just start boogying!
  10. Wholelattelove.com Great company. Recently purchased an espresso machine from them. Using it twice a day everyday.
  11. Come Together - The Beatles
  12. What I Like About You - The Romantics
  13. We can add a new event to the timeline, as per the recent hour long interview of Plant that was posted on the forum. He recalls that before one of the gigs (I believe he said Melbourne) he could hardly say a word. He went to a doctor who "gave him some adrenaline" and Plant went out there and powered through the concert. He notes, as is obvious, that this is "devastating" for a singer's well-being.
  14. What an awesome, awesome interview. Reaffirms his legendary greatness.
  15. Great article. Two comments in particular caught my attention: "Page enjoyed his finest moments when he minimized the distortion on the tone of his guitar. Then the audience could pick out what he was picking." Generally I feel like distortion comes through less on the bootlegs in 1977 but it sounds like if you were there you might not think so. Another tidbit as to why the bootlegs are wonderful to have but really are just so dang far from what it was like to be there (of course). "Plant didn't try to impress the crowd as a great singer. He isn't. ...His style is to be shrill and fall off the notes soon after he hits them." Dang! Harsh stuff!
  16. I listened to these five in the gym today, talk about getting pumped up: And Rock and Roll --> Sick Again from Montreal 1975! In that order.
  17. One of my all time favorite Heartbreakers. Bonham and Plant go ape. Also Jones is nicely up in the mix.
