  1. So is that it's title 'Slumpy'? Or is that the label?
  2. Thanks guys. You can see why I've asked the question can't you!!!
  3. Guys, could use some help please. This seems to be discussed in several places in this forum, but I was hoping for a discussion devoted to this and this alone. From what I've read, there are many different audience sources of this gig. Also, many different labels have put this out. My question is, what is the definitive version? Cheers Neil
  4. If you read the descriptions of releases on his website, it suggests or implies that he or she has heard them already. Do you know if this is true Nutrocker?
  5. Thanks Nutrocker. I'm still learnin' mate ?
  6. Ah bollocks. Was hoping there would be more songs. Anyway, thanks for the info Sue
  7. Morning fellow family Zepheads. Wondering if anyone has procured 'Sonic Boom' which apparently is an expanded version of the above show (I'm assuming that means that more of the sbd source is included). http://www.argenteumastrum.com/recent_updates.htm if anyone can pm me and share, I'd be eternally grateful. '70 and '71 are my favourite years. Cheers Neil
  8. Yep, that's exactly what he called it, 'king Jimmy.......... I've heard quite a few versions of the show and this is the best. The Winston of the 11th August 1979 is best. As for the 4th, no idea
  9. Oh, and if you find it in your heart to somehow let me see that video footage I'd be forever grateful
  10. I think I was higher up in the audience than you were, towards the top. But on the same side. Hard to believe that it was nearly 20 years ago. I was a 24 year old kid for gods sake. Seems like only yesterday
  11. This is great. Thanks for sharing. If you ever get round to doing one for TYG from that show, I'd sure be pleased to hear it!
  12. What were your thoughts on the gig Steve? And are you winding me up about videoing it, or even attending?
  13. Hi all. I attended this gig and left very disappointed because of the acoustics at the venue. Totally ruined it. There's a bootleg around, an audience recording. The sound quality aint that good, particularly in comparison to the sound of the awesome Paris and New Orleans gigs. My question is; does anybody know if there has been a soundboard release for the Manchester show? And while we're at it, is there a Pre FM mix of the New Orleans show that doesn't have that nobhead DJ talking over the music? When I listen to it I feel like strangling the bastard. Cheers in advance for your help.
  14. Have to say, for me it is 1971. The Japan tour is incredible, in conjunction with the preceding North American tour. The Florida gig in particular is absolutely blistering
  15. Thanks steve. How about a link to an actual boot? Anyone? I listened to the Paris La Cigalle gig the other day. Jimmys playing blew me away. NQ in particular is phenomenal. And the WIC material is really brought to life
  16. Anyone know where I could get the '98 ULU London show?
  17. I'd have to say ten years gone. Closely followed by trampled underfoot
  18. My favourite Zep tune. Still blows me away when I hear it. I picked up my dad's LZII when I was 14. I was hooked after the opening riff
  19. I loved 'Manic Nirvana' when it came out, but I don't think that's aged well at all. Sounds like a bloody pop album too to my ears now.
  20. Completely agree. I can't really get excited by anything RP has done.
