Thank you Dzldoc and Ninelives. I had a blast.

The perfect birthday weekend- to spend with my favorite people. And three days off as well. I couldn't wish for more.

Ala House...

Congrats!

Spent a three day holiday as I wished. Went from the hills to the beach, then close to Mexico and back. Lots of diversity and fun.

It's about time. They seemed to enjoy themselves. Congratulations.

A warm (72F) day. Out to the beach for the day.

I filed the paperwork for my passport... the first step in my next vacation. Next, the tickets and reservations. I love to travel.

The boat is a 21.5 foot Bay Hawk- a center console fishing boat. No Cabin Cruiser for first boat here (LOL). Later maybe- after this one gets some dings from the captain learning to moor it. The car is a Honda Accord. I had planned for the boat to be a total surprise- complete with a "treasure map" and the key for him to find it on Christmas day. My son was so excited that his dad was getting a boat that he let the secret out. I didn't let either of them know about the car, since one of my secrets was out already. I thrilled them both.

I had a similar situation. Sent money to the elder kids, bought a boat for hubby, a car for the youngest. I think I made their day in most situations- at least I really tried to. My best friend's family came for Christmas dinner, we had some margaritas... everything was perfect. Happy holidays to everyone.

Completing your work sample is quite an accomplishment Manders. Congratulations on your (impending) graduation. Your semesters must run for a longer period than ours. The students are on break for the most part here.

Christmas lights are up outdoors. Tree is beautiful. I actually wrapped all the gifts today (that's the biggest accomplishment). I have a five day weekend coming up as well. We could use a little snow here in Texas- it's a little warm for Christmas time.

LOL... we'll send you some more rain from Texas. I'm also happy to know it will rain. I guess I'm an adrenaline junky. If there's going to be a hurricane, might as well enjoy it if we're able. If you're stuck at home because of the storm, party with friends, etc. When given lemons, make lemonade.

As a nurse (as well as personal experience) I second your husband's experience. I have sat at the bedside of patients and family while they are preparing to go. I had a near death experience and "saw" my deceased younger brothers, an aunt, a white dog and great-grandmother standing in the corner of my room. The strange thing about the experience is my aunt had owned a dog of the same type who had died before my birth. I never knew about the dog until I told a family member about the occurrence later. My experience involved more that I will not divulge at this time. Don't doubt things exist just because you can't experience them in this dimension.

The conspiracy theories are interesting. I have never heard of the government's involvement in holy bible formation though. Any links to that theory?

That has to be the cleverest logistical tactic ever! Literal mince meat from our opposition. Brilliant!

Native Americans believe that some persons have the ability through magick to change their shapes/appearances or to walk through walls. Similar behaviors to werewolves, but with more abilities. These individuals NEVER have good intentions when they "change"- they do this with the purpose of harming another person.

I've had a "near death experience", so I believe in existence in other dimensions. I have also worked in the medical field long enough to experience some really bizarre (and frightening at times) things. Beliefs: Life after death- yes (see above). Where one "ends up" is individual. Ghosts- yes. Worked with the elderly/dying for some time. I have many stories. Skinwalkers- yes. I believe that some persons have abilities that are not easily explained. Medicine men and shamen have some amazing abilities as well. I strongly believe that there are things not yet discovered, or that are scientifically inexplicable. The fact that science cannot place its tag on a thing does not dismiss its existence.

So... I take it you could easily replace the "l" with "r" in "claptrap" to describe the paper? LOL. There are plenty of those. Journalism seems a bizarre way to make a living.

Someone stated that he "spoke with his hands"- seems to be a clear message- LOL. BTW- the dress picture thwarted my psyche! I'm scrolling through some good pics, then - bam! What an alternative to caffeine.
