The Beatles were really important to me and my friends in high school. They were also very important to me and my wife in our early years of marriage. There is so much that is special about their music to me and to us. They helped me through a lot of days and nights.
It does look like Mark Twain, but it's Einstein. This was taken at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. I happen to love Twain, though. Thanks for the welcome. I am really excited to join.
I love both bands, but I give the nod to Led Zeppelin. It's just my subjective preference. Someone mentioned in an earlier post the mystical bent to Zep's music. That speaks to me.
I am watching The Killing on Netflix. It's about two homicide detectives in Seattle and their cases begin to affect their lives and sanity. I recommend it.

I love Van Halen, but I could never stand David Lee Roth, especially live. He is a clever lyricist and good in the studio, but he cannot sing live well at all. I much prefer Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. That era of Van Halen witnessed Eddie spreading his musical wings. Sammy Hagar also translates extremely well from studio to stage. He is a professional, he's got a fun personality, and he never takes his fans for granted.
