  1. Did you like her in the 1981 movie Body Heat ? That was some film.
  2. At my weekly old time/bluegrass jam last night one of the mandolin players introduced this tune. I had not heard it before. Will be learning it for guitar.
  3. Bradford 1973. Was inspired to go back to it after reading about it recently in another thread.
  4. Years ago I made an iTunes playlists for each tour's set list. The best transition using studio versions was Black Mountain Side into Kashmir.
  5. Aside from Zeppelin and many of those listed above in this thread: Pictures of Home - Deep Purple. On the Classic Albums series Roger Glover described Paice's intro there as "pure madness" Aerosmith - Lick and a Promise
  6. Thanks for noting this. I recently got that show and had not really listened to it yet, but when I saw your post I went to TSRTS and WOW you sure are right about that bass.
  7. Great compilation. Thanks for sharing it. For 1975 NQ, I am partial to 3/17 for soundboards, but so many of them are so good. If I had to choose one overall including audience it would be 3/25 or 3/27. When I try to compare versions of NQ I think about the 3 basic sections of the jam: 1) solo keyboard, 2) keyboard and drums, 3) with Jimmy. I find 2/28 fascinating from a historical perspective because it is the first one with real piano, and it is intriguing to hear them adjusting to that and working it out as they go.
  8. Hard to believe it has been over 10 years since this great album was released.
  9. Sick Again from 4-27-77 remastered. The band is so locked in and the sound is fantastic. Plant is strong and up in the mix. So all the elements are there. "Destroyer Re-Mastered" Bad Girl Songs
  10. To me the Out on the Tiles intro works better as an intro to the song - it drives into it. The Bring It On Home intro is cool, but it does not drive to the song. In that sense it is more like the studio intro, which meanders about before the song starts.
  11. One of the great movies and great soundtracks of the 80s.
  12. Fairport Convention live at the LA Troubadour, Sept 4 - 6, 1970, same time as Zep at Blueberry Hill. Richard Thompson really takes off on this one, and of course the fiddle, bass and drums are superb. The liner notes for this lp say that Led Zeppelin were at the show and they got on stage to "destroy a few ballads". Too bad that was not recorded! The liner notes also say both bands participated in some obscene Midlands drinking ritual.
  13. June 11, 1977 After Sick Again someone says "This is fantastic". The way he says it is as if he really thinks it is fantastic but he wants to sound cool, like he is not too into it. Same guy before IMTOD. He starts telling his friend that Jimmy is going to play White Summer, probably because he is getting out the Danelectro for Dying Time. Then just before the song starts he corrects himself and says it is "something else".
  14. Another good show was Halt and Catch Fire For comedy my favorite is Monty Python's Flying Circus. A close second is the original BBC TV series The Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy. It is based on the original BBC radio scripts which were amazing as well. They were so faithful to the books, unlike the travesty of a movie version that Hollywood released awhile back.
