  1. Totally agreed. Just a personal remark: IMHO the problem was home-made to a certain degree, as Jimmy wanted the band playing that loud. Why did they have to play "10 times as loud as anybody else"??? A little volume reduction might have saved Robert´s chords, the audience would have had a far better sound, while still beeing as loud as contemporary bands.
  2. Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Union Berlin? Congrats, Mönchengladbach won 4 :1
  3. This is a 12 DVD box featuring live footage from EC, Seattle 77, both Knebworth shows & and the MSG 73 fan edition.
  4. Give us a chance, what exact second/time mark? Your link provides the whole show.
  5. Sick Again- This is where a 75 show really takes off for my taste.
  6. Fisheads International is a well known bootleg mail-supplier situated in Tokyo, run by Mr. Eric Sachs. Fisheads Int. celebrates its 28th anniversary in June. My entrance card to the world of Japanese bootlegs- love it.
  7. Yes, I have this 3 CD box and also the 9 LP Box from 2014. Honestly, I can´t imagine Jimmy Page will release anything from Japan 1971, though I wish he would. Let us wait for the complete 929 SB for the 50 anniversary, and any sign(like the 928 Black Dog single) from EV that SBs of 923 & 924 do exist, would be a godsend.
  8. I would like to see something like Deep Purple´s Made In Japan, the best compiled from all recorded shows, but each song untouched and as it was played. I put my trust in Empress Valley, and yes, a single CD, released in the fall of 2020, with a song of 923 or 924 soundboard would be fantastic.
  9. The Great Beast 666 (Montreux 70), the Geisha Box (929 SB) & Deus Ex Machina (Seattle 75 SB) comes to mind. These releases are "blessed" with an exceptionally strong bass, especially the very low frequencies. Got to take care with the volume, as these boots are certainly not neighbor-friendly. The bass level of the Bath T2K is nowhere near to the level of the EV boots mentioned.
  10. Switch accounts, income stream??? What are you talking about? I am not the "defender" or spokesman of any bootleg label, nor a bootleg trader. I was just responding to pluribus` opinion about the bass level, as I have not any trouble listening to this CD without altered, equalized signal. Got it?
  11. I am happy with the T2K Bath boxset, it has far better sound quality compared to older/different titles I know. Sorry, I am not able to relate to your critic about the "ridiculousy cranked up" bass frequencies. Hearing this release on my stereo system I simply can´t detect any trouble with the level of the low end. Funny, as to my ears the main sound problem are the guitar and the voice, sometimes suffering heavy distortion and overdriven sound. But this is not due to bad mastering, or the fault of any bootleg label, this is just he nature of the original tapes. The band must had advised their
  12. Don´t miss to check the upcoming Tarantura2K "The Band That Beat The Beatles" box. It contains both original and new source, mastered by their new audio wizard (ENIGMA). Graf Zeppelin´s "Detroit Rock City" was a miss due to the shrill sound.
  13. Not that I know of. I still have to get rid of my Sonic Boom EV box, what a crap!
  14. Ha, the official live albums Mr. Page had announced to be released within the next 8 years??? What a joke!!!! I wouldn´t bet a single penny. I trust in Empress Valley, Graf Zeppelin, Tarantura 2K,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  15. Yes, there´s no time to lose. Unfortunately, I have to be patient as my source for Tarantura boots orders from Japan and there is currently no EMS available. I prefer the "Starship" cover over the other version, too. IMO version "A" shows rather a barrage balloon than a Zeppelin. I wonder how long it will take til you receive your box- fingers crossed.
  16. Really looking forward, but it might take a little time as EMS & airmail shipping from Japan is currently suspended.
  17. This sleeve is from the Black Dog 928 SB release in 2016. It was the first song available of a 71 Japan SB and was a bonus CD of the Rock Carnival EV box set, which contained the 7th & 5th (the best) Aud sources for 923. The picture shows the band onstage Osaka Festival Hall, 28th Sept. 1971.
  18. The mix of heroin & alcohol is very dangerous, the narcotic effects on the central nervous system are boosted and can easily lead to fatal respiratory paralysis, no matter H is snorted or shooted. A miracle that Page and Bonham had survived the 1977 US tour, beside a few cases of "food poisoning" (ODs) here and there.
  19. Zeppelin Beatles Stones 64-74 I choose the Stones over Pink Floyd (Piper - Meddle) and The Doors (the first three LPs only). If Deep Purple (68-76) were on the list, I would kick out the Stones.
  20. Yes, you are right about the length. There is a gap in my memory, as I listen to this show about every two years, whereas 923, 928 & 929 are on constant rotation. On rare occasions (due to the bad soundquality of the existing Aud sources) I give 924 a spin, nevertheless I think it is one of the best of this fab tour.
  21. Hiroshima is a stellar but compact concert, no doubt. Then again it is obvious why it is somehow overlooked- the other concerts are simply out of this world. I like Stairway To Heaven, the beautiful acoustic set and the wild Celebration Day. A remastered, lowgen, more natural sounding release of this AUD source would be nice. I am looking forward to the 50th anniversary releases, guess they will be gorgeous.
  22. Delicious, hard to top that one- Lamb Bhuna Gosht is also a favourite of mine. In order to guarantee a proper digestion I highly recommend a rolled help with ZeroZero or a Nepalese. Yes, indian cuisine demands big calibre.
  23. Never heard he said that "Come Taste The Band" wasn´t a DP album, why should he? They decided to carry on with Tommy Bolin and I remember a lot of flattering compliments from Jon for Tommy´s playing, his songwriting and for beeing the man he was. Not until things got out of hand and ugly during their US tour due to the increasing drug antics of both Bolin and Hughes, this is what Jon considered "not like Deep Purple anymore". I think their tours of the US and the UK in 76 had a similar output like the 77 US tour of Led Zeppelin, a few brilliant shows, a lot of average shows & a lot of medi
  24. All in all Deep Purple´s induction to the RARHOF was nothing but a train wreck, sad for Ritchie, sad for Jon Lord´s daughter, and the exclusion of Nick Simper didn´t help either. IMO the main guilty party are the authorities of the RARHOF. One should expect that they are able to choose AND invite ALL relevant musicians themselves. No need to even contact the current manager of the group, things can go terribly wrong with a motherfucker like Bruce Payne. Also, you are still a little confused about MK4: you don´t consider them to be a Deep Purple formation, your quotation of Jon Lor
  25. I have tried to order from Japan this week but failed. Due to the Corona crisis it is not possible to ship to certain European countries via EMS and airmail.
