Funny, when it´s about official releases I prefer vinyl, have collected a lot of first/early pressings and Mofi or Analogue Prod. releases- CDs for the car and boots. I had some LZ LP-boots in the early 90ies, sold them when I discovered better sounding CDs over the years. The recent "Going to Cal"- 9/14 LP on Casino Records is a really good sounding release, but I do prefer the excellent Graf Zeppelin CD. Anyway, enjoy your Final Option, that´s all that matters. And yes, it´s a pity......

Are you sure that the white splash vinyl indicates that there is a Swingin´Pig release? Is it confirmed that the LPs of the original RSR release are black? I think I haven´t seen pictures of black LPs yet. Also, I haven´t seen a photo of a box with the Swingin`Pig logo either.

Never heard of a Swingin`Pig release. [] IMO the soundquality of the Final Option Box is outdated for a long time.

Thank you so much for the information! Can´t wait to buy the vinyl. Btw, if you love the Private Eyes album on vinyl, I really have to recommend the Speakers Corner Records release of the year 2017. Speakers Corner used the master tapes, remastered them in a gentle, brilliant way and kept the whole manufacturing process pure analogue. I have first pressings and a promo copy in NM, but the Speakers Corner version sounds second to none.

Bravo, you made a good decision to purchase the Pro-Ject turntable! About the vinyl: I bought LZ I - Houses Of The Holy on Classic Records 200 gram round about 2002, the price was $ 45 each. The pressing quality is excellent & they sound incredible, no doubt. Also, I have the 2014 remasters and I think they sound quite good, too. Considering the extreme high prices for the Classic Records I would recommend you to try the 2014 remasters first, guess you won´t be unhappy with them.
