  1. If these are the artwork designs for the boxes, I´ll save a lot of money and buy the standard edition. Chateau Marmont 69 and Bath 70- this is a confession of failure!!! EV used to take care of authentic & related artwork over the last years, but this is ridiculous!
  2. Exactly, thanks for your post. Jimmy had his fun editing, cutting and splicing TSRTS, we have to live with that. But hands off the Japan 71 tapes. The material is incredibly fine, no need for a "Absolutely Live"-treatment (-The Doors 1970 live album- a fucked up fiasco with about 2000 edits-LOL)
  3. No doubt, 924 is a pearl too. What a pity that the sound of the known AUD sources varies from bad to mediocre. Even the Graf Zeppelin release is a hard piece of work, except the few stereo parts. Well, we DO need SB´s of 923, 924 and 927- and the rest of 929. In the best case Jimmy takes the multitracks to Abbey Road studios and get them fixed. Japan 1971- the peak, the fucking grail..........
  4. Considering the long delivery times before Christmas, EV should release it tomorrow. I am ready for anything.
  5. Wow, that is amazing. All of them at MSG? Which tour did you like the most? Any favourite memory? As I was born in 1971, the nearest I got was the Page/Plant concert at the Wiener Stadthalle in 1998. No Quarter was a revelation, still gives me goosebumps.
  6. By the way, I really hope EV choose suitable pictures for the artwork of this upcoming 928 box. The Bath picture on the flyer is plainly annoying.
  7. What The Heck Twins- a synonym for EV productions, usually printed on the back side of EV boxes since about 2015/2016
  8. Hell no! Wishful thinking, never lost faith......... Just imagine a 923 or 924 SB, quite a few would wet their pants.
  9. Don´t be too generous with your organs, what if 928 turns up? Yes, Seattle would be gorgeous!
  10. Last line of the recent fisheads update: "PS: Viva La Soundboard Revolution Holiday Spectacular" We´ll see.......
  11. Choirmaster of the Winchester Cathedral................this is a wikipedia hallucination, isn´t it???
  12. Flamenco guitar lessons? Leading part in "Vlad Dracula in the Black Country woods"? Nope. When he hadn´t a credit card at hand, he still could shovel mountains of coke easily.
  13. Yes, I fully share your doubts. Because of the high price I will wait for more information about these "uncirculated/huge upgrades".
  14. According to several comments by Jimmy Page all of the Japan concerts were recorded/multitracked except the Hiroshima gig.
  15. No, you didn´t- this hasn´t been listed on the latest Fisheads update from 30th October. The Japan 72 box is $225. Anyway, Fisheads & others will sell the new box for a "moderate" price compared to Mr. $$$. Serious/reliable info from Japan about the aud sources will pop up soon, I am in good spirits.
  16. Ah, this is modest bootleg lingo at its best, as always. If these audience sources are new and nearly as good as promised, they should sound like the 7th source of 923. Fingers crossed....... And by the way, no one has to pay $ 449,-, this dealer is a well-known lunatic.
  17. 73 MSG- Lucky you! See, I have no problem with Paul Stanley mixing up details, but there is one thing I can hardly believe. Paul Stanley was 17 years old when he was simply blown away by LZ at this Central Park gig. So I guess the natural reaction of any music loving teenager would have been: I HAVE TO see this Band again whenever I can. Why didn´t he attend the New York concerts in 70, 71, 72 and 73, before things developed with KISS??? Was he too busy writing songs with Gene S. or playing to 25 people with Wicked Lester- screw that, that is just ridiculous.
  18. Years ago Stanley talked about the specific date, it was 21.July 1969, NY, Central Park, Schaefer Music Festival. His memory is mixed up a little bit, they didn´t play WIAWSNB.
  19. Haha, yes, of course William is right. I was much too focused on Jimmy´s clothes, couldn´t see the forest for the trees. Many thanks to pluribus, William Austin and sam webmaster for their contribution to solve the mystery. Sure, what do you expect? New book: 3 to 5 folks. New boot: 3 to 10 folks.........an endangered species, indeed.
  20. Hi Eric, got my copy last friday, thanks again for your guidance. Agreed, more pro shots would have been nice, but on the whole I really like this book. I have noticed there is no 924 concert photo either. I always have tried to distinguish the different 71 photos/dates via Jimmy´s clothes. No doubt about 923: Jimmy wears the dark T-shirt with the nice sun image (purchased in Montreux, I guess) and the brown suit jacket for the first songs. 924: The dark blue T-shirt with the red lines at neck & sleeve ends. 927: Small stage, white shirt with small knitted pullunder (indeed very small, could have been a present for his 15th birthday). 928: Revelation, thanks to this new book- almost same clothes as in Hiroshima, but this time a white shirt with very thin blue lines. Teeny pullunder in action once again! 929, still a mistery to me: I think most of the bootleg releases (including the recent 929 SB) got it wrong, presenting photos of the actual 924 Budokan gig, with Jimy wearing the blue T-shirt with red lines. Some boots have photos with Jimmy wearing a red shirt, but I think they are from Hampton or the Berkeley gigs. In my opinion he wore the brown suit trousers and a bright shirt with much thinner fabric than the shirts he wore 927 & 928. Also, I think Robert wears a sun image T-shirt, same as Jimmy on 923. What do you think?
  21. Jimmy could have picked any ltd box set, he decided to give Jeff LZ II, that speaks volumes.
  22. Any idea where to buy this book? I visited amazon japan just to find out that the english version doesn´t work proper. No clue if they ship to Europe...... Does anyone have experience with book orders from Japan?
  23. Unfortunately not Bonzo´s Birthday nor the second night June 3, I misread that too- it is 1975, the new master SBD of LA Forum 1975 = The Night Stalker This flyer is enclosed to the Pareidolia Paradigm Box.
