  1. Disguised Weapons Posted at: 2010-02-09 06:06:07 Original ad: **** Disguisable weapons wanted **** Wanted: hidden blades, belt buckle knives, cane swords, etc..... Offering: cash, items for barter From Me to **********@***********.org: Hey, I saw your ad looking for concealable/disguised weapons. I have several fine-crafted items you may be interested in. Respond if you are interested and I will send you pictures and prices. Thanks, Mike From Jeff ****** to Me: I am. lets see what you got. From Me to Jeff ******: Jeff, Here you go: Looks like a normal spoon, right? Wrong. It is actually a deadly 2.5" half-smooth, half-serrated knife with tactical grip. One minute you are enjoying a bowl of cereal, and the next you are fighting off attackers with this deadly and disguised weapon. I am asking $50 for the blade. Let me know if you want to stop by and take a look at it. Mike From Jeff ****** to Me: that is stupid as hell and looks like crap. unless you have anything better to offer, dont waste my time. From Me to Jeff ******: Jeff, I am sorry you feel that way about the spoon blade. I do have some other weapons that I think you will feel differently about. Mike From Jeff ****** to Me: fine. but if it is another knife duct taped to a spoon then you can fuck off. From Me to Jeff ******: Jeff, Thank you for re-considering. Here are three quality disguised weapons that I think you will love: At first glance, this looks like a normal party cup. However, if you look close enough, you will see that it is really a fully automatic Glock 18C. You will be able to pour your enemies a nice warm cup of lead with this fine purchase. Asking $900 for the gun/cup combo. Still thirsty for justice? Try this badass M16A2 disguised as a 24-pack of soda. The box has two finely crafted holes on each side to allow for any kind of optics (not included) that you wish to attach. This weapon is only for sale if you have a Class III permit. This cleverly disguised weapon may look like a tissue box, but is actually a Benelli M3 12 gauge shotgun disguised as a tissue box. The ultra-soft quilted tissues serve as a comfortable grip on the pump-action shotgun. Also, if you find yourself sneezing during the heat of combat, you will have a handy tissue box ready for action. Asking $1500 for the weapon. Additional tissue boxes are an extra $5 per box. Let me know if you want any of these items. Thanks, Mike From Jeff ****** to Me: youre a fucking dumbass, shitbrained, asswipe, retarded dipshit. you prob walk around with that shit too you dumb mother fucker. I hope you get hit by a car. fuck off, eat shit, and die.
  2. I wholeheartedly agree with you there Porgie! I'd vote for that Seattle concert as Zeppelin's greatest concert ever. First ever live performances of The Ocean (I believe the only time it wasn't performed as an encore), Black Country Woman (which wouldn't be performed again for another five years and wouldn't be released for another three), Dancing Days (performed TWICE no less!), Over the Hills and Far Away (only time it was performed as an encore). Their longest acoustic set ever, an amazing 30 minute Dazed, an epic organ solo (their longest ever) with Amazing Grace, Everyday People, Louie Louie, Let's Dance included as a medley, rare encores like Money, and a fantastic Whole Lotta Love medley. My holy grail, which I hope exists, is a soundboard of this amazing show. I'd say of the videos which haven't been released, the May 25th Earl's Court show is the best one. I've always found these shows a little overrated, but this show is pretty smoking (especially during the first half). Some will say the 24th is better, but I find that show rather sluggish until the last third or so. Go for the 25th. I also believe that that is Zeppelin's longest ever show (apart from maybe the last LA 77 show).
  3. Watching these two men argue and tease one another was always entertaining. May they both rest in peace.
  4. Apparently Butch Trucks' death has been ruled a suicide God, that's heartbreaking! http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/01/27/reports-allman-brothers-butch-trucks-committed-suicide-in-front-his-wife.html
  5. Damn this is a sad day! Mary Tyler Moore has passed away! RIP http://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/mary-tyler-moore-television-legend-dead-80-n712146
  6. The Tour Over Europe would like to have a word. Strider, really looking forward to your accounts, especially since the 6/25/72 and 6/21/77 shows are two of my favorite shows ever. I think it goes without saying how we are all insanely jealous that you got to attend all of these amazing shows!
  7. Here's what I listen to to pump me up. Even though it's cheesy as hell, this soundtrack is one of the greatest workout soundtracks ever!
  8. Another question I've been pondering recently...how come Mike Millard missed the first four songs of the 6/23/77 show? According to The Year Of Led Zeppelin blog, his recording starts just before Since I've Been Loving You. So what happened? Did he think his tape was running when it wasn't? Did the first part somehow get lost over the years? Did he get delayed due to traffic (as reportedly happened at the 2nd Long Beach show in 75)?
  9. Happy belated birthday to one of the greatest guitarists the world has ever or will ever know!
  10. I don't normally like the live drum solos...but this one is an exception. Holy shit!
  11. You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' - The Righteous Brothers
  12. Both have their advantages and drawbacks: TSRTS - Advantages: better sound, has some fantastic versions of songs (D&C, NQ, STH, SIBLY), Page is on fire Drawbacks: Plant's voice is weaker, no acoustic set, Rock and Roll gets things off to a somewhat shaky start, and the setlist (imo) is inferior HTWWW - Advantages: Plant's voice is in better shape, better setlist, Bonzo is on fire, acoustic set Drawbacks: Sound is overly compressed, no NQ, and, with the exception of Rock and Roll and Whole Lotta Love, the songs which are repeats here (D&C, STH, SIBLY) are not as good as the versions on TSRTS. Ultimately, I'd give the edge to HTWWW. TSRTS is good too, however (albeit I do think it is overrated).
  13. Reportedly, Debbie Reynolds' last words were "I miss her so much. I want to be with Carrie." 15 minutes later she had the stroke. God, that's so sad and tragic!
  14. I recently listened to Immigrant Song at the Bath Festival, and...can anyone decipher the lyrics that Plant is singing? I find it interesting how the lyrics are still being worked on here. I recognize a few of the lyrics that would become the standard lyrics for the song, but I can't make out other parts. The recording quality definitely doesn't help either. Apologies if this has been posted before (I did a quick search on the forum and couldn't find anything).
  15. I agree. Their first couple of albums were very good and better than anything they put out with Perry (although Journey with Steve Perry is a guilty pleasure of mine). It's a shame they changed their style to get more sales. Their early stuff was intense: They did try to go back into prog one last time with Perry. It's a shame they just went back to pop rock:
  16. I wasn't at the show, but I have a theory re Heartbreaker: Page may have played the opening lick of the solo in order to test his guitar. His guitar strap came loose at the beginning of Sick Again (hence the brief dropout) and there's a long wait before NFBM, so he probably had to ensure it was tuned to his liking. As to him actually playing Heartbreaker, it wasn't the first time playing it for 77 (they played it during one of the MSG shows earlier in the month). He could have decided to play it as it was their first night in LA (being their "home away from home"). Or it could have been in response to that guy shouting for it on the bootleg. As Strider said, only Page knows for sure. As for "Trampled Underfoot", I believe it is indeed Bonzo. The Year of Led Zeppelin blog also credits it to Bonzo, so I'd say it's a fairly safe bet.
  17. One of These Days - Pink Floyd
  18. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I've always found Priest's 70s material (up to and including Stained Class) to be far superior to anything they've put out since. Not that they didn't have some good songs afterward, but most of their 80s stuff was more about "rocking out" and "partying" as opposed to being complex or dark. It's catchy but it doesn't require a whole lot of thought. Songs like Epitaph, Heroes End, or Sinner are way more interesting both lyrically and musically than, say, Breaking the Law, imo. Anyways, I digress. Here's a song that has one of my favorite vocal performances ever:
  19. A classic...Richard Simmons on Whose Line.
  20. You Better, You Bet - The Who
