Over the Hills for me.  It has everything.  Folk acoustic, hard rock, great melody and vocals, lyrics, perfection.  For TSRTS and NQ, I prefer the live versions so much more.  I don't really like the processed vocals in the studio version of either track.  I see how it adds to the effect in NQ, but it does nothing but detract from TSRTS in my view.

    good choice.

^ Oh you gonna hate me, I have almost that exact same guitar (Gibson LP wine red) except mine is a Studio with coil splitting and I love the shit outta it. It is my #1 and is just perfect.

My dream guitar is either a Gibson Birdland or a PRS semi-hollow body custom model. However both are way outside my budget at this point.

    i hate you. :)

  3. show me a pic of your guitar or your dream guitar (please specify which). bass acceptable. no cowbell. here's mine (epiphone by gibson strat): fjbcnsexji2biuer1kd2.jpg

I know I’m if anyone reads this I’m a newbie, but besides the fact that I’ve only recently discovered Zeppelin, it was on complete accident. It was 2013 ( I was only 10) and I found my Grandmas old record player. A bit later, I found an album- Led Zeppelin II. But me being a bit dull in the head, didn’t read the album. It, surprisingly, was a Jimi Hendrix record (also how I discovered Hendrix). Then a bit later, I went to the YouTubes (once again, I apologize for my insolence) to look up some Zeppelin and very surprised to find out it wasn’t Hendrix. As soon as I heard Dazed and Confused, I was very impressed but it was when I listened to How Many More Times that I was completely hooked. Since then I’ve deticated my life to get every album.

nice to see another young zep fan! how old are you now? 15, i'm guessing?

I have an original Elektra 1st press of Funhouse on vinyl and it is an amazing sounding record. The louder you crank it, the better is sounds and it creates a pleasant disturbance to my neighbors.

    lucky bastard... ;)

I have only Raw Power from 1973.  I love the sound and the material, especially Search and Destroy - including those lyrics! - as well as Raw Power and Shake Appeal.  I will have to listen to the first two albums.  I think Williamson is great - will have to compare him to Ron Asheton.

The sound of Search and Destroy is just amazing.

i like raw power a bit, but i think the sound is a bit too tinny for my taste, but we can all agree search and destroy is amazing. as for my favorite tunes by them, i would have to say down on the street (one of the best riffs off all time imo), tv eye, and i wanna be your dog are my top three, not necessarily in that order.

  9. anyone like the stooges here? i'm a big fan of their earlier stuff, like their first self-titled album, and "fun house". and ron asheton is the best punk guitarist imo. thoughts?
