they deleted the thread, you are overwhelmingly stupid for criticism on people who didn’t care about Bootlegs of a concert. Do you think I really care what others in this forum think about my opinions about a Led Zeppelin bootleg or Led Zeppelin concert I am just stating facts that many many people told me about that show it was all the hype lacking substance there of course there were some great shows that were magically captured on bootleg but of it now so who cares if I Pointed out many people who saw Led Zeppelin in 77 have said.

Seeing as how that has not happened (yet), I thought it would be fun to try to imagine what such an album would be like. I put this together by aiming for shows with good sound that contained excellent performances of each respective song. I tried to put everything in chronological order, with each song being from a show that was around the period of its official release on a studio album.
There are three notable exceptions to this: for Train Kept a Rollin’ and I Can’t Quit You Baby, I couldn’t help choosing the versions from the Texas International Pop Festival on August 31st, 1969. The announcement of “Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome…the Led Zeppelin!” was just too perfect not to use. After this, I went back to some earlier shows for other songs. The second exception is for Heartbreaker, for which I chose the version from Blueberry Hill, since it flows so well from Immigrant Song. The third exception is for the last track, You’ll Never Walk Alone from Knebworth. I found it worked well as a sort of “farewell”.
I’m sure there will be controversy over the versions I picked, as well as which songs I chose to leave out. I aimed to try to make this compilation be of a similar length as one of Zeppelin’s live shows. It ended up being just shy of four hours, so I was forced to leave certain songs out in order to prevent it from becoming even longer.No editing or EQing was done to any of the sources, save for fading each track in and out where appropriate.

The shortest version of HMMT that is stand alone is 10 minutes as it is. This is also why I picked a version of Whole Lotta Love that was similar to the studio version as opposed to the lengthy medleys from later on.
As for Moby Dick, I kind of consider it a tribute to Bonzo, so I felt it was a necessity, even though I can understand others wanting to skip it. Oh well, I knew that this wouldn't please everyone completely!
To each their own of course but if sound quality is your worry (as I've seen you criticize the fidelity of bootlegs before), you can rest assured that I tried to find versions with a good combination of sound quality and performance. I think just about every song on here requires no "bootleg ears" at all.
Umm yeah have fun dude. If you really think this sounds good that’s fine. I find this form funny how you bootleg collectors get hissy if someone tells you that these bootleg sound like shit. WTF is (bootleg ears)?? Maybe that is a bootlegger thing...I believe 99% of Zeppelin fans would laugh at you if you played this....sounds like shit man, don’t take it personally.

I often wondered what Zeppelin fans thought back in 1975-to Present what they thought of the change in Robert plants vocals? I do recall reading that Zeppelin toured before the physical graffiti album so I am pretty sure fans notice in concert that Plant lost range but what about those that 1. Didn’t see Zeppelins 75 tour but bought the album the same year. 2. Those that didn’t know the history of Zeppelin but discovered a change on the PG album? For me I found it kinda odd that physical graffiti had recordings that sounded different compared to other songs on the Album. Houses of The Holy song is one example, or down by the sea side is another.

I think John Bonham would’ve been the one to demand a break from the long tours, and being a way from his growing family. Robert was all in as long as John was there, yeah he did say that by 77’ tour they were grinding through the shows but the huge audience going berserk would motivate anyone to continue even if they weren’t in best form in all their shows.( I think a bad Zeppelin show would still be better than a good show from anyone else. )
I guess Robert and John Bonham would have made it clear that Zeppelin was going to stay closer to home, shorter tours, longer breaks, then call it a day by 1995.

Excuse me? Sorry buddy was born when Zeppelin four came out. It’s ok if you get turned on by off stage bull shit, but to criticize another because “they weren’t there” is pompous crap. Don’t care what Zeppelin did off stage because a lot of it was fake, Zeppelin music is definitely not fake but my point is the gluttonous life on 5he road for Zeppelin almost overshadowed the music. I’ve met hundreds of people who saw Zeppelin in Seattle and all of them said 77’ was terrible and a fucking joke compared to their previous tour in 75’ at the Seattle Center. Steve Slaton a popular Radio DJ told me once at a music convention that he met Zeppelin at the airport and Jimmy was wasted and had to be carried off the plane. This type of life style is Romantic to you SteveAJones? My opinion on Zeppelin is one of a music fan not a ass kisser who thinks the band could do know wrong. Yeah a 30 year old rock star dating a 16 year old girl is gross by any means.

When it comes down to it. Who cares because that song is terrible and should never been written or placed on an album. Yeah it’s just my opinion but I’m pretty sure 1000s of other people would agree that song is cheese to the max. In through the out door has some serious issues as a record in whole but there is some stellar songs on their : in the evening, All my love, I’m gunna crawl, southbound... & the epic. Hot dog is a filler song and fool in the rain is a joke, yeah I know Bonzo drumming on fool.... is technically hard to do but still a cheesy tune.
Another thing about this offstage stuff that surrounded Zeppelin is boring and really not worth the trouble reading about because half of it is over exaggerated. Jimmy page romance with a 16 year old girl is disgusting and arrogant, he would be called a pervert in today’s world, but since he is a guitar God it is something we look past wearily but we do. Same thing about John Bonham and his abusive behavior when drunk, stories of hitting female reporters, attacking a life reporter, drinking so much he would become distraught. This effect was apparent in his looks, remember Bonham was only 32 or when he died, he looked like he was 52 fat bloated and definitely not the best drummer that gave us classics like ALS, When the Levee breaks and many others. The captain of the Zeppelin ship was also lost in the land of gluttony and the fire was growing dim. Then it was over.

zeppelin new way better than us what they wanted to release. Some asshole breaks into Jimmy Pages house steals a bunch of tapes and we will never have a chance of Jimmy remastering these taps for official release. What would have been cool is to hear how they were working on Their 1980 set list for America. Some promising stuff their.

When this incident happened it was the beginning of the end for Led Zeppelin. Many reasons. By this time there was many reasons to not like Zeppelin, the terrible shows, the stupid drugs and Jimmy Page more worried about his fix then playing some killer shows. The overwhelmingly long and boring solos that are so dated it became cliché. John Paul Jones has said many times during that tour he wouldn’t even be in the same Hotel with the rest of the band and road crew. Richard Cole was a complete coke head at this time and the whole vibe was just a big downer. The creativity musically was missing or finished, they just didn’t want to admit it, Led Zeppelin was destroying itself. Then tragedy hits Robert Plant and his personal life was now shaken to it’s core. Two years later they attempted a major concert and it was panned for sounding dated. I as a fan look past the offstage crap because it means nothing. Though it is my right as a fan to point out how drugs and some may say an arrogant attitude ruined the 77’ tour. Light effects and lasers can’t hide missed notes and sloppy playing.

I am listening to Zeppelin Kashmir 77’ Cleveland otherwise known as the Destroyer show. That has to be one of the best versions of Kashmir live for the 77’ tour without any flubs. Great performance from all the members, Robert always sang Kashmir his best on that particular song.

The original TSRTS soundtrack has such an amazing funk section (sadly butchered in the 2007 and 2018 releases) leading into a great groove in the theramin section. Just fantastic. And for me, the long "Boogie Mama" jam from about 8:00 - 12:00 in the movie soundtrack is pure Zeppelin magic. It flows organically and has more of a groove feel than the medleys of oldies. I love the medleys, but I love this looser jam more. I hear you about the first part about "I heard my mama and papa talking, that little boy reached the age of 24", etc. That became a bit of a cliche over time, but the jam that follows it is just off the charts. What Page, Jones and Bonham are doing is pure joy and pure genius.
Funny you mention that part of WLL ( I heard ...) when I first heard it I thought it was kinda cool like some personal story of Roberts parents having worried about his career ambitions. As I grew older and bought HTWWW I thought “wow Zeppelin never really changed it from their previous tour?” Because Zeppelin during their 71, 70 tours WLL always played melodies from other bands like Buffalo Springfield, Other 60s bands I cannot recall, of course the African American deep Mississippi blues melodies no body did it better then Zeppelin. Jimmy Page shines the brightest when jamming those old blues tunes, Bonzo Jones combo keeping the rhythm was unstoppable. That’s why the WLL and Black dog on TSRTS are 1 of the best. Blueberry Hill version of WLL is amazing as is the Version of Communication breakdown Melody. I personally think 1971 is Zeppelin at it’s best and rawest.

For some reason I like it because it gets right to the meat of that Killer jam between Jimmy and Bonzo. Love it! Just the power, yeah the full version on the DVD is killer and other earlier versions but for me that little riff kicked my ass.

found only one old one? I seem to remember when there was a more pro shot videos of the concert then the one I saw. They just filmed the big screen so it was kinda bad.
