  1. Fool in the rain?? I was agreeing with your list until I saw that song. Ooooh my it so Salas and yippee for me. Yeah the drumming is excellent but the song is cheesy)
  2. Led Zeppelin is a force that will live long past it’s members. I can see how some of the band members can turn off fans, the off stage rumors, the drug use, womanizing. That was the 1970s and rarely did people complain. As a fan who will always buy a new Zeppelin whatever in music ( reissue remastered etc. etc.) I think it’s ok criticize them for a lackluster 50th anniversary celebration, or not doing more one off gigs, or releasing and remastering some best of live Led Zeppelin. Personally I’m happy with the official stuff over these many boots but hey that’s just mean. I enjoy reading how these serious live recordings collectors go in detail about the musicality Zeppelin was known for during their live concerts. It is cool to listen to how their songs changed in playing from night to night, or reading how a luck guy got to see Zeppelin concert. I’ve stated many times I’m not a fan of Zeppelin 77’ but I’m definitely not going to deny the powerful energy, the force or light and darkness in their shows must have been awesome to behold. Jimmy, Robert, Jones, Bonham can handle some criticism when they know at one time Gods did walk the Earth.
  3. Hands down TSRTS. best daze, no quarter, rain song, black dog.
  4. Not to be harsh, but Robert Plant sounds like he is just yelling on Sick again, Kashmir sounds flat and uninspired. No quarter is a bore(just my opinion) sound quality sounds muffled. Not a fan of Zeppelin 77’
  5. Analog remastering or the new deluxe remastering Was recently watching a YouTube video where the guy was stating that the new Led Zeppelin LPs were digital pressed file onto the LP do you guys consider these new LPs lackluster compared to other LPs that I’ve come out before? Do you guys prefer analog to LP remastering compare to digital file press to LP remastering this guy seems to say the sounding is not very good ?
  6. Presence In through the out door physical graffiti led Zeppelin (no title) Zeppelin 3 Houses...... led Zepp 2 Led Zepp 1 Coda
  7. Not going to debate the subject when many fans of Led Zeppelin have already long said in this form that the 1977 tour was by far the worst in Zeppelin other wise stellar performances. Robert Plant has even stated himself that tour was a grind ( paraphrasing) The over indulgence of drugs and alcohol consumed Jimmy and Bonham. Yeah their is a handful of some great shows but nothing compared to their 1971 tour, both in US and Europe. John Paul Jones has said in many interviews that he hated the stadium shows, the whole thing was a spectacle of “Cool” compared to a concert of Amazing Led Zeppelin live.
  8. I read in Richard Coles Book Stairway to Heaven that John Bonham poured Orange Juice on Alvin Lee Of Ten years after. Jimmy and Peter Grant were so outraged and furious with Bonham that they told him he ever pulled another stunt like that again he would be out of the band. Don’t know if that is true or not?
  9. I hope it’s not another 75 or 77’ show. the set list in 77’ is alright but a 25 minute version of No quarter is a joke. I’ve listened to many different concerts of the 77’ tour and I just find that part of the show boring as hell. Furthermore when did Led Zeppelin become a Jazz band? I always found it a shame that they didn’t play more off Presence, drop Moby Dick, since I’ve been loving you, no quarter, Battle of ..., then replace those songs with Hots on for no where, Electric version of Gallows poll, poor Tom. By the 1977 Led Zeppelin live wasn’t the best, Pink Floyd In the flesh tour was the shows to see.
  10. 30 hours to make a masterpiece. Incredible.
  11. Are they real? I live in China (American) travels back an forth to Seattle where I’m from and I will tell you this. koreans are very nice people but their music sucks and it’s a sham to these young ladies. Their career is done by age 25, imagine if Jimmy told Plant after physical graffiti Album your to old, need a younger man now.
  12. This tour was awesome. My second favorite RP solo album after principles of moments. Kinda cool RP is keenly aware of the environment of the Earth.
  13. Much better. I am happy with this. Yeah I know I bitched about Bootlegs sounding terrible, but man this version kicked my ass. Thank you for clearing this up a bit.
  14. Some should remasters the Gallows Pole Copenhagen 71‘ that version with electric guitar is amazing.
  15. I still think Robert had a strong vocals, I listened to NYC 1977 and he still had it, just wish they did custard pie live !
  16. My brother bought this when it came out, still have the record. Didn’t know what I was listening to???
  17. It has been well documented here how some Zeppelin fans cringe on the way Robert plant vocals were different after the 1973 tour or even before. I being the generation that brought back Led Zeppelin to popularity thanks to MTV playing The Song Remains The Same. That brought Led Zeppelin to a whole new generation of Kids that didn't know the difference between Robert Plant the Screaming God of Thunder, to the Heavy Over Lord of the later 1970s. I was blown away with all the early stuff but the albums after HOH I thought were much more heaver and more complex arrangements then the earlier maybe with exception of When the Levee Breaks. I have to say this song never gets enough respect.
  18. Seeing Jimmy play those cords put a smile on my face. Man I wish he would just get on stage and jam. I am pretty sure he could find whoever he wanted to play with him.
  19. I think we as fans ask to much. I know there is Bootleg collectors who share their stuff even after remastered it still sounds like crap. What more can a band that hasn’t performed since June of 1980 give yeah that most will not bitch about? I remember reading in here how people were complaining about how RP sang at a lower note during the 07’ concert. Jimmy and Robert have both stated “their is no other film concert of the Band” there person that I believe has kept the Zeppelin from flying again is Robert Plant. I truly believe he is done with the band on a performance wise. Furthermore do you want to see a 75 year old man playing hits that made us go wow, then seeing grandpa trying to rock....lol Hell no. Robert Plant is old and can barely sing the Zeppelin stuff, if he doesn’t turn it into country Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin is done and this 50th was a joke, but understandable because of the lack of official material that has been generated during Zeppelin time; meaningful filmed shows besides TSRTS, live audio recordings done by the band. Led Zeppelin wasn’t a merchandising band, they were a live experience that got huge by the word of mouth. Example Led Zeppelin tour in 1977 in NYC they didn’t even have to promote it, no radio ads or nothing. Word of mouth. To me the magic of Led Zeppelin is their unbelievably awesome official catalog of albums. You can keep your 30 min version of No quarter...boring. I will stick with the clean sounds of the official. I guess in short. Quit complaining and get the Led Out!
  20. The sad thing is Jimmy Page promised new music ? As I’ve stated before, I’m not a fan of bootlegs ( terrible sounding) it just gets old that Page keeps sayhe will have new music coming out? so in short this 50th anniversary was ok, but definitely lacking on truly substantial substance. Van shoes....wtf
  21. Funny how so many people in this forum want to believe that the Zeppelin 77’ tour was the greatest events ever, sorry it wasn’t. By 1977 Led Zeppelin wasn’t even the best selling band for their official records, Punk Rock was storming the scene. Many articles on the tour were critical of the shows some of the statements used were “ sluggish, overdramatizes solos, terrible performance.” Even Robert plant has made comments about the tour saying “some nights we were just “there” ) The vibe of the tour with a coked out Richard Cole, a disgruntled Peter Grant who was in a middle of a a divorce. I contacted the local Popular DJ here in Seattle and he was fortunate enough to meet Zeppelin when they came to Seattle to kick off third leg of their tour he said Jimmy page was so drunk he couldn’t walk straight, couldn’t believe this man would even attempt to do a concert. As we all know another lackluster show was given. Then there is the issue that no one wants to admit. John Bonham was an abusive drunk, way to many reporters of his drunk rude behavior. Furthermore another thing we all look away from is Jimmy Page is or was a pervert. #metoo wasn’t around in the 1970s so he was lucky. I personally don’t care about the individual members of Led Zeppelin it was their music that makes other bands cry. Though their live shows after 1973 Led Zeppelin wasn’t the best live band.
  22. Saw Jimmy Page 10th row center of the stage at the Gorge Gorge Washington. Walking to Clark’s Dale. it was the Jimmy Page show, the versatility of page on title track Walking to.... was amazing, the bluesy emotion of Blue Train. Probably the best show I’ve ever seen second to Tool at Portland RoseGarden.
  23. Having listened to your remastered version of this concert. 1. The flubs in sick again, Kashmir add to the notion of lack of practice. 2. Bass is the weak point, for some reason the bass sounds flat.* 3. Jimmy playing is subpar and this excellent remastered shows the major drop off from 71’-73. * what I mean by flat it sounds like someone playing bass not plugged into the amps.
  24. Here in Seattle Washington their is a station Run by Iheart media called KZOK 102.5 FM every Saturday @12 o’clock they have 1 hour of listener requests lunch with Led.
