  1. Saw Jimmy Page 10th row center of the stage at the Gorge Gorge Washington. Walking to Clark’s Dale. it was the Jimmy Page show, the versatility of page on title track Walking to.... was amazing, the bluesy emotion of Blue Train. Probably the best show I’ve ever seen second to Tool at Portland RoseGarden.
  2. Having listened to your remastered version of this concert. 1. The flubs in sick again, Kashmir add to the notion of lack of practice. 2. Bass is the weak point, for some reason the bass sounds flat.* 3. Jimmy playing is subpar and this excellent remastered shows the major drop off from 71’-73. * what I mean by flat it sounds like someone playing bass not plugged into the amps.
  3. Here in Seattle Washington their is a station Run by Iheart media called KZOK 102.5 FM every Saturday @12 o’clock they have 1 hour of listener requests lunch with Led.
  4. All my love. I found it cheesy (not knowing it was a tribute to Robert son)
  5. I guess it should be said that 90% of people in this form probably never saw Led Zeppelin live. I being one of them, and not a huge fan of bootlegs because of the sound quality sucks. I am sure their is a few decent sounding recordings of Zeppelin live on bootlegs but I will pass. My gripe with Led Zeppelin was the overindulged solos that sounded sloppy and definitely not worth the listen (My opinion) ie. No quarter, the SRTS version is killer. The 1975’ 77’ is a bore. They definitely could have added some more songs off presence album. The Acoustic set should have had more songs off Zep3 would have loved to hear Gallows Pole, Friends and swan song.
  6. Having never seen Zeppelin live, I have to say my only gripe is I wasn’t there. Led Zeppelin is the best band hands down.
  7. I guess I rather listen to what The band wanted to be heard rather then some crappy recordings that you can barely listen to? Yeah I know their is some killer unofficial recordings 69’ Fillmore, 79’ Copenhagen for example. Though most of these bootlegs lack depth and feel as to say the official recordings. Keep your “audience recordings, git”
  8. My goodness some of the bootlegs are terrible sounding.
  9. I wonder if any tape exist of a tapper getting busted by Or close to getting busted by security or Richard Cole himself?
  10. Dave Lewis quote “ Houses of The Holy was a transition album from their previous three albums, less of the bombardment of the first two and lacking the Shear diversity of the 3rd album and the classic status of the fourth.”- the complete guide to the music of Led Zeppelin.
  11. I saw this concert in the Tacoma Dome. I thought the show was alright, some cool tunes. Then I saw Walking to... at the gorge at George WA st. Jimmy page took control of that show. Blew me away when they did How many more times ( bow section).
  12. Having just my eyes and scores of listening to bootlegs and seeing Page and Plant twice (walking to clarksdale tour) I would say Jimmy was in top form at the O2 concert. Jason Bonham did ok, I personally think he isn’t that good of a drummer. Robert Plant did ok but was way better in the 98’ tour. JPJ was the key. Page & Plant tour didn’t have the right feel, the groove, it didn’t have Jones.
  13. When the news came around that Led Zep's 50th anniversary was coming up, I was expecting a little more than just a book and some online song list. I wasn't expecting a concert but I was hoping for a live album. Nothing. I will say I am not interested in paying for crappy bootlegs on some website when Youtube has ton of those already.
  14. I have whatever source it is haha kinda good kinda bad recording. I did noticed that the version of Kashmir is flawless.
  15. I bought all of the reissues accept Physical, & Led Zeppelin 1. Not that I don't like those albums I just haven't gotten around to getting them. The first batch I bought was In through....Presences, Houses Holy. I was not happy with the mono versions of All my love but didn't bother me much because the official version sounds amazing on my Sonos Player 1 speakers. Incredible intro with those keyboards by Jones. The surprise gold nugget was THE Epic. holy cow that jam deserve to be played on the radio! The keyboards are more in the back, Jimmy playing is more upfront as is BONZO. Presences is my favorite Zeppelin Album because it has no keyboards, or soft ballads. It is just pure balls out rock and roll with a hint of the disgust Plant was having with the drug scenes of the 1970s. Excellent recording, very happy to have it. I think en general I was very happy with the cystral clear sounds of the studio and was happy for the new lesser liked companion disk.
  16. When I think about how Zeppelin could've toured after the 02 concert, and how upset I was with Plant not wanting to continue. Then it dawned on me. Why does Robert have to meet those expectations when he and the boys already were on top of it. There was no need to continue because there was nothing left to prove. The Music and what official videos we have is probably going to be it. I am fine with it now, because when you look at it, its also 30= years of the Bonham family having to remember the days their father, husband, brother was still around. Led Zeppelin lives within the heart of the fans now. I would be happy with one kick ass Best of Led Zeppelin Live with best recording possible. Peace.
  17. Best band to ever walk the Earth. I do not care what they did backstage even though it makes for good readings. The Music those 4 created will stand the test of time. Generations from now will pounder in their cubical mind machine getting blasted by Zeppelin.
  18. Holy Crap this Version of Sick Again 77' Houston is beyond words. I am amazed how strong Zeppelin was live in 77' this is like a punch in the gut. In your face heavy rock. Yeah!! I know your name and no you don't look the same but sure did rock many moons ago!!!
  19. Holy Shit this is what I am talking. Excellent recording with rich bass and Pages guitar effects in full effect. Yeah I will be sending yeah a message!
  20. Have a question to the mighty Led Zeppelin collectors that post some stellar Live Zeppelin shows on Youtube. I been listening to this 1975 live soundboard recording of different concerts played in America. The sound is incredible, (he does state he did some sound touch ups) than I listened to his 1977 recording compilation. and the sound is terrible. performance wise the shows selected are great, but the sound quality is (be Nice) not good. Can anyone refer me to some great sounding 1977 recordings, besides (Listen to this eddie)
  21. Dave Lewis says "All the 1977 concerts were filmed and recorded for the band. What happen to those shows who knows. Maybe when Kevin Sheerly looked through the vault said most shows were not good enough for release.
  22. Someone invent a damn time machine, I have some Zeppelin concerts to go to!!
  23. Zeppelin 3 was the first CD I bought when the new remastered's came out. I was Happy as one could be with the sound and the richness of the whole thing. I hope someday Page will consider putting Zeppelin 3 and Un Named Zeppelin (4) out in Blue Ray Audio. That would be great! By the way not to plug any speakers, but the Sonos Player 1 sounds great when listing to Gallows Poll, Friends, Tangerine, That's the way.
  24. As a Led Zeppelin fan and a male, I never looked at them as being "Sexy" I always thought they just had a cool stage presence. Maybe not so much in the 1977 with those glossy pants Plant wore during the Seattle Show. I just thought they had a way of not letting their appearance be the part of the show, they let the music do the talking. Now considering by 1977 the band was in terrible shape because of excessive drug use and alcohol consumption. So by then even Robert Plant admitted that the band was show boating a bit and it became less of the music and more of the scenery. I have talked to a lot of people who Saw Zeppelin in Seattle from their first tour to their last tour in America and a few of them said Zeppelin in 1977 Seattle was terrible, Jimmy was drunk, and the band just didn't have the same punch. So it wasn't so sexy. It was a slush.
