  1. Those are not video stills. All of those pictures are in Dave Lewis' celebration 2 book.

  3. Hadn't come across this one before http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOeKYRNxD7U&feature=related
  4. If they don't come to New Zealand on this tour next year I will be booking tickets to Australia and I don't care how much debt it gets me in. The Stones have been the soundtrack to so many good nights with me and my best friends. There is no way I'd miss the 2013 tour. I'm being positive that it will go ahead, but Keith and the boys are only getting older. It says in the various articles I've read that his health has delayed plans for a tour but then the aforementioned articles mention no specifics in regards to Keiths health. Anyway, as I said I before I'm just staying positive. I saw them in 2006 at Western Springs Stadium but I wasn't nearly as a big fan as I am now. My old man bought me a ticket so I went along with him.
  5. Already in February, Ronnie yelled that the Stones are on the verge of touring , but we all know, everyone is waiting for Mick and Keith, the Glimmer Twins. And both were on stage again just days before: Mick at the White House, Keith at Humming for Hubert and at the honorary award for Chuck Berry. And Keith was heard to say "Damn, it's good to be back!" to the crowd after playing Little Red Rooster with James Cotton and then launching into Spoonfull accompanied by Eric Clapton. (see below) We heard some more rumors about stage gear (see below, Feb. 21) being booked and checked - but that's not official, i.e reliable news. What comes close to an official announcement comes from our beloved Sir Mick Jagger himself. He told the Associated Press: "I hope we certainly do something ... It would be very appropriate, I think, and I look forward to doing something. But nothing is yet booked." Almost the same was issued by the Detroid Free Press: Any special plans for the Stones' 50th anniversary this year? We have lots of special things planned, but I'm not telling you what they are! Not even one thing? Well, I don't know what's been announced and what hasn't been announced, but everyone asks me about the shows. We haven't announced any shows yet, but I do hope that something happens, even though nothing's booked. Taken from www.stonesnews.com
  6. Yep, 76 years of age and still going strong.
  7. Lets hope if he tours the new album he ventures down under eh Reg?
  8. How does it sound compared to the various bootlegs of Hampton that are already out there? I must say that the soundboard recording I've got sounds pretty darn good.
  9. Crosby, Stills and Nash are also kicking off a world tour in March, starting in none other than New Zealand. Should be a good show, shame Neil isn't with them.
  10. Hopefully a new album means a tour.
  11. Jeez Stairway, just because he's Jimmy Page doesn't mean that EVERY girl that came near him wanted to bang him. And as others have said, he was so addicted to smack in '77 that he would have had little to no sex drive.
  12. I just got their album because of that vid, which subsequently lead me to more of their tracks, its great stuff. Cheers Knebby!
  13. The Knebworth gigs were also filmed for a possible release for public consumption. Thats why the band wore the same outfits on both nights.
  14. You can scratch Houston off the list, a poster on here who goes by the username of 'The Rover' was at that show and he said there were no video screens or cameras. Although it could have been filmed with a camera from the boxes.
  15. Because there aren't any multi-track recordings. But the main reason is that it is a pretty subpar show.
  16. Never knew Zurich was supposedly pro shot. Also, isn't it the May 30th '77 show that is rumuored? Not the 26th?
  17. Charlie was interviewed on BBC radio 6 a few days ago, this is what he had to say on the prospect of doing some shows next year: "It would be lovely next year to do some shows because it will be fifty years. Ronnie plays, I still play, Mick sings, he can do it anyway, I think Keith is doing some records [...] Anyway it would be great if we did, we are just getting to an age where it's getting a bit difficult to get it together and it's such a bloody performance getting us together."
  18. From Stonesnews.com... "By now, we have some credible reports from people in the know. It looks like the sessions took place in Chelsea, London between December 6th and 8th. Mick also joind in, but only on the last day as he was having an appointment in Paris. Bill Wyman was there on all three days and according to his tour manager, he was enjoying himself very much. Ben Waters also joined in. However, Mick Taylor wasn't seen in Chelsea at the sessions. The music was just some loose blues jams and there was no recording done during those three days. What could have feared by some didn't happen - Keith and Mick went along with each other very well. Now, that's promising, isn't it? [thx gazza (ro), Paul] So far - so very good. Still no concrete (i.e. official) tour plans, but most of the news we hear points to some kind of tour. Of cause, there will be some DVD covering their 50 years in the business. And lot's of otgher things will surely happen. Only the scope and time of some future gigs or a tour is still left uncertain." Sucks about Mick Taylor apparently not being there though.
