    Calling BULLSHIT.

France, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, all have at times had proud military parades too---- even after their royalty had been replaced with democracies.

We have no children "dying in cages" but we do finally have a President willing to do something about defending our borders  (at least trying) and making America great again.

Your views to not represent a majority of Americans... and least not true Americans.  You complain about Trump but it is attitudes like yours who got him elected, and will probably get him reelected.

Watching the 4th of July celebration today in honor of our military and in celebration of our Independence from Britain made me PROUD to be an American

Military parades happened under Kennedy and before. I travel but am currently living in Baltimore. Great viewing at the Harbor.

I travelled to DC for the event and it was the most patriotic I have ever seen. It cost a few million, but way less than the spectacle that transpired under a special council.

  2. Just meant to be a small thread of what you may notice in Live LZ recordings. The meaning of this thread is about the small subtle things you notice within the Live LZ Shows.

For instance: Achilles Last Stand Riff played within the song In The Evening at around the 5 minute mark of the song. Enjoy!

Analog remastering or the new deluxe remastering Was recently watching a YouTube video where the guy was stating that the new Led Zeppelin LPs were digital pressed file onto the LP do you guys consider these new LPs lackluster compared to other LPs that I’ve come out before?

Do you  guys prefer analog to LP remastering compare to digital file press to LP remastering this guy seems to say the sounding is not very good ?

What do you mean in the video, signifying a 588 pressing? MHZ? Of course it will sound better compared to something scratched and subpar from 1969. If you refer to Hz:

I've heard that a lot of Led Zeppelin recordings were done on the 528 HZ. 528MHZ is based on a frequency of healing/love as well as other bands used as Pink Floyd, Mozart and John Lennon.

Vinyl will have a warmer sound compared to digital. Thank you, Strombringer101.

And I agree with Mookie Wilson. No one play should define your whole life.

Except for maybe Scott Norwood. Rest in peace, Bill.

ather's Song is an instrumental recorded on 24 October 1983 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota, USA. It was tentatively included on an early configuration of Purple Rain. The song appears in the Purple Rain movie, where Prince's character "The Kid" storms in the house looking for his father and finds him playing the song on piano. Predating the recording of the standalone track, the main melody was included as a motif in Computer Blue.

somewhere at 2:30 in Computer blues in your clip I think it starts>?

Yes, M'Darlin' ! The Genre changes, too.

I believe you're right, anniemouse. It was a smash in a car accident, right? 1972? If you're right I think it was during a break in tours.

I read in Richard Coles Book Stairway to Heaven that John Bonham poured Orange Juice on Alvin Lee Of Ten years after. Jimmy and Peter Grant were so outraged and furious with Bonham that they told him he ever pulled another stunt like that again he would be out of the band. Don’t know if that is true or not?

Just went and threw it at his hands. That's some rivalry and heated competition. I would say Led Zeppelin won because of that.

What makes it even worse is I believe Bonham threw a cup of OJ at Alvin while he was on-stage playing guitar and soaked both him & guitar. For god's sake he could have electrocuted Lee. A prank is one thing but that was way over the line.

Was this where he went out on stage behind him stripping on stage? Even played a stripper's stanza on drums. They tried to catch Bonzo, but couldn't. I read it too. Just think, if not for the Stones, Alvin Lee could have came up with Sticky Fingers for a title.

I'm a writer, but Richard Cole is one hell of a writer!

A little bird told me that Robert Plant and John Bonham got into a fight in Japan.

Bonham was a good shot. Now you tell me. Was Richard Cole spinning the yarn about Japan 1971?

If you ask me, I go with Richard Cole. During the Japanese Tour 1971, John Henry Bonham was an awesome shot when drinking.

There is a difference in Plant's projection between the first show or shows and the others in 1971. It happened in the hotel, and Cole broke it up.

Actually I'm wrong. Bonham didn't knock or chip Plant;s tooth. He gave him a bloody split lip. The argument was over some money. Forgive my memory.

After all, I am a 210 year old fart. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin_Japanese_Tour_1971

  11. Frodo, this is Fantastic! Thank you! Could you please do anymore? This is one of my favourite shows. You did this so well! Hats off to you. You have an amazing talent. Thank you.

I have seen many performers very flamboyant in their attire. Colour only adds to the savoir-faire that melts so well within the surroundings. And colour adds to my love of ale. Say, that's a nice gun. I have one under my floorboards almost like that. That's an 1803.

That's a Wogdon pistol. Very early 19th century. Interesting how this episode was. I grew up on TNG. The original series was before me, but Trelane was well known.

This episode recreated the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Trelane firing his one shot in the air, daring the Captain to fire his.

"Trelane, who first appeared in the original Star Trek episode "The Squire of Gothos", is revealed to be a member of the Q Continuum. "

Good Morning, PanicCooker. You really got this thread to take off after Christmas, huh? Just mention Trelane and Q. Combining TOS with TNG. I just saw where this is on audio book, and John De Lancie is narrating and doing the voices. Can you give a decent review on that book?

If you want to make me happy, (stop turning my face into Mr. Potato Head, please.) Those messages do not make me laugh. Just give me some Ale, and I may think about laughing. Or some coffee with the Irish stuff in it. Can your replicator do that, Lass? Bring me a nice kind drink of ale? I might wink at you. Or give you a half smile, Miss. I am Edgar Allan Poe. I do not smile. I do not laugh. Nothing can make me do as much. Nothing on this site. NOTHING, Miss.

PS. Every video I've seen regarding Trelane, debates or mentions him being a Q! To be from the original series, I would say Trelane has been drawn through from then to now as one of the most important and infamous villains or space trolls. A threat. He could make planets (like Gothos) and flick away the Borg at will. An insane yet curious member of the Q.

Love The Orville, really good show.

I liked the Q episode where the Q were in a state of Civil War and Q had to conceptually show them what was going on in a manner humans could understand. Could also be argued that Q jr. was Trelane.

That is a probability. I'm glad someone mentioned the Q Civil War.

I thought Khan was bad. He was highly intelligent, but could only think in two dimensions.

They never could stop Trelane, did they?

Q is both individual entities-- as well as part of 'the Q Continuum'--- a race of beings-- a hive of super intelligent lesser gods in making.

Trelane was by far one the most interesting yet malevolent characters in the original Star Trek series. Far more powerful than Khan and more threatening. In a Earthly universe he might be compared to a 'fallen angel'.   I was always fascinated by his childlike petulance, but his determination to succeed and be recognized--- while having fun doing it. Others only existed for his personal amusement... he was the first "troll" we ever encountered in a Sci-Fi series.

I liked the Trelane character so much that I used him for my avatar. His face joined with the screen name "kipper" (Kipper being cockney rhyming slang for saucy Jacky aka: Jack the Ripper) seemed like a good fit for a Trelane avatar... especially for this forum.😜

    DAYAM!

Trelane was the Zod they couldn't f*** with.

And Huge that it carried over and no doubt was the God with Omnipotence, and Omnipresence.

    No doubt Q equivalent.
