  1. DING DING DING!!! You win the award for most uniformed, idiotic comment today! Man, your avatar is 100% spot on
  2. After watching the confirmation hearings for Judge Jackson I would say a definitive no. Talk about racist nonsense coated in lies and out of context quotes.
  3. Your floundering Steve and oh so wrong. One of two things will happen here and one is not Russia taking and holding Ukraine. Either his intelligence service takes him out (Putin is already starting purges, they may have nothing to lose); or, he crosses the line and either uses chemical weapons or accidentally gets too close to Poland and NATO gets involved to the point of very possible nuclear war. You could not have been more wrong on this if you tried. Old Vlad wrote a check he simply cannot cash, the only question now is how much the bounced check fee will be.
  4. Actually, it was Vindman in an interview who said Ukraine would NOT fall as expected but would fight and if the country were taken, would mount an aggressive insurgency. Here, let me help you with that as your information sources are obviously flawed. Col. Vindman: ‘We’re getting ready for a second offensive’ (msnbc.com)
  5. But, but, but...Steve said Russia would easily take Ukraine in two weeks??? I guess Ukraine never got Steve's message BTW, Mr. Putin. Tick, tick, tick. That is the noise of the clock marking off the moments before your intelligence service decides it's time for a new boss.
  6. Distance is only relevant to us as we are not advanced enough to implement the solution. Warp drive is theoretically possible. Creating artificial wormholes is theoretically possible. Folding space (kinda a wormhole but, not exactly, has more to do with quantum entanglement etc.) is also theoretically possible. Where we run into problems is power. Any of those takes enormous amounts of power to pull off, power in the magnitude of an entire sun in fact but there are workarounds which deal with the use of either anti-matter or sub-atomic manipulations. I think the time it takes an alien species to travel say from the Sagittarius cluster (the most distant cluster in the sky) to Earth is instantaneous through these technologies. Then there is the possibility of intra-dimensional travel which pretty much circumvents time & space as we know it. As they say, technology is considered magic to those less evolved. We just have yet to crack the code so to speak.
  7. Hey now, thems fightin words buddy 😉 IMO their first album, Ten, was pure genius and far more grunge than Nirvana ever was. Nirvana seems to get the title as the band who started Grunge and its nonsense. Nirvana was Punk with shades of Rock but mostly more Punk. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees...they were Grunge. Ten was released three months before Nevermind and Ten was just as popular as Nevermind. Though I do agree Pearl Jam never came close, not even a little, to matching the brilliance of Ten. BTW, I love STP as well, great group. Peace Yo!
  8. Meh, Mars. IMO a rather unremarkable orb though its moon Deimos is also a very unusual satellite which should be studied extensively. Mars is another planet with too thin an atmosphere. To colonize Mars you are gonna alive underground or if on the surface shielded buildings. I always thought Venus was much more interesting. It's closer, almost the exact same size as Earth yet it is the hottest planet in the solar system with a surface pressure of 92 bars or 92x more than Earth's. Now that place is kickin'! Honestly though, when thought about we have a dream of a planet which is absolutely perfect for sustaining complex life but hey, let's go several millions of miles away to live on a barren, lifeless rock. YIPPIE!!!!
  9. Robbie Williams sucks IMO. Just a narcissistic no-talent as far as I'm concerned.
  10. Reminds of a Kurt Vonnegut novella about cats being sentient, hyper-intelligent aliens. Seriously though, there is a very good chance intelligent life, evolving under very different circumstances and elemental influence, could be so vastly different from our definition of life we may not even recognize it. Or, it could exist within the light spectrum we cannot perceive so, we simply cannot see them. So many possibilities.
  11. No silly, Titan is a moon of Saturn, it's largest moon and the only moon in the solar system with a dense atmosphere. It has pretty much everything we need to survive insofar as chemical elements, it's gravity is almost the same as Earth, and it would be the easiest to terraform. Plus you get sweet view of Saturn 🙂 Still have to live in a dome but at least you can live on the surface. Without a dense atmosphere or magnetosphere you have to live either underground or in heavily shielded domes due to the radiation. Titan as both so...good to go!
  12. Almost all politicians have become ugly actors, pandering to their base and corporate donors. This is just another embarrassing moment brought to you by, As the World Turns...West Wing edition. Honestly, the way things are right now are eerily similar to the late-Roman Republic era before Agustus made it an empire.
  13. Then go for it, it would be doing a good deed for someone in need. We need more people willing to help their fellow humans from time to time 🙂 Only cost would be the lawyers fee which for a standard POA runs about $500, or $350 if you go with a shady lawyer (they are all shady so, sketchy would be better). Takes about an hour and that's it. The lawyer will provide both witness and notary.
  14. Does the scooter have an American Flag painted on it and the driver wearing a black leather jacket??? That would be sweeeet.
  15. Does she have living family and if so, why does she want to go outside her family for something so important? It's not a deal breaker but it does warrant caution.
  16. Be very careful, you could wind up in a very bad situation especially if her current POA is a family member. Learned a long time ago not to get between family. It's not a very involved process, just need a lawyer and a notary but if she is removing a family member and making you POA you could be in for a real world of shit. My advice, say no, only accept a POA from a family member IMO.
  17. I loved Jodi Foster back in the day, huge crush. When she came out as a connoisseur of carpet I was heartbroken, not that I had a chance if she favored the old jolly roger. Honestly, how does one court a lass who's wannabe boyfriend tried to rub out the Pres. for you? That's a pretty high bar to traverse right there unless you try and whack the Pope. Boy, I bet if some joker actually tried to kill the Pope for Jodi Foster the poor woman would think she was cursed by Juno herself.
  18. Me thinks the slop would not have been noticeable being there due to all the ambient noise and volume causing echo etc. I say I hope they release this officially some day. They could replace the RnR/SA with another, better shows version, and then splice the legato section out and replace with one from 71' but make it super obvious for shits. The title would be Gene Therapy a Jolly Romp Through the Timbers
  19. Seattle is a great show but I concur with your assessment Sir. After re-listen I have a new appreciation for this gig. The only weak point is Page being a bit rusty (not bad, just misses some notes and a bit too loose) in the beginning and then he really comes alive from OTHAFA on. Page get's his fingers caught in the strings during the legato run in Heartbreaker, but otherwise the song is great. I still do not care what anyone says, Page F-ed up that legato phrase waaaay too much during shows because he always held the LP over his head when he did it. Unless you rub baby powder on the neck beforehand your hand will stick at some point while sliding it down the neck due to the weight of the guitar. It may have looked cool but damn it, it F-ed up the run! Every time I tried it my hand gets stuck around the 7th fret. Great NQ though at this gig, no doubt about that. Pretty much everything from OTHAFA to the end are amazing! And yes, both JPJ & Bonzo are off the chart shit-hot this night. Everyone is great.
  20. Uh oh, just what I need...an Irish car-bomb
