  1. Tsk Tsk, anyone going to admonish this post? http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article...lice/article.do
  2. It's not private anymore when they're so loud that others hear it without even trying. Contain it or suffer the consequences. It could escalate into a loudness war, or could be nipped in the bud. Someone raises the stakes then someone else crushes the offender in a retaliatory fashion. Out of sight, out of hearing range, out of mind. Now if you just saw it, you could turn the other way easily. You can't just simply turn an ear and negate the sound. Your quiet neighborhood remark is wrong. No one should impose their noise on anyone else.
  3. Even though her voice is somewhat better, I think she has more of a chance of following the fate of William Hung and not of Kelly Clarkson. http://www.brokennewz.com/displaystory.asp...E_1027hungdeath
  4. It wasn't a joke. You know that even an aural shine is an outward manifestation apart from a shining within.
  5. To save face, auraly imagining her performance would be safer.
  6. From so many posts I've seen in the past, I didn't think there was any appreciation for Richard Cole's "Stairway to Heaven". Does it depend on who posts the photos or text?
  7. Gov't Mule's entire performance of Houses of the Holy This was from a Halloween show in 2007 in Minnesota, I believe. Excellent !
  8. I still say it won't help one bit. You can have her spats.

Just go to a club where they allow smoking and you'll be in good company surrounded by hacking chicks! Doubly repulsive!
  10. I'd love to hear those Russian cds. I remember when they were on eBay, but I didn't buy them as they were pretty expensive. I have to correct something I said. The only music on the anthologies that was remastered was what had already been released, like the Tony Sheridan songs. My Bonnie, Ain't She Sweet etc. The other music was "mastered" with the best equipment at the time of release. The music hadn't been legitimately released previously to have ever had the need for 'remastering". The anthologies were the first legit processing for release. Sorry about my screwup. Stuff like the isolated string parts for Eleanor Rigby were mixed and "mastered" for the anthologies. They sound "remastered" but in fact were just treated to mid 90s remixing then mastering (definately superior to mid 80s). It seems confusing but if music had never been prepared for public consumption and release, there's no "remastering" to be done, only an first-time "mastering".
  11. Quite impressive! I'm gonna guess you meant (3 sources discovered)
  12. NONE of those songs were by the Airplane. I'm embarrassed for anyone who likes Disco. It sucks!
  13. Sunburnable, seeing as how I'm roasted like a lobster! I think it was 85 or 86 today. I'd been loving the upper 60 degree days, now it's getting into the less comfortable summerlike temps. It NEVER needs to be above mid 70s to me.
  14. I'm not understanding your post. The tapes for the Capitol boxsets WERE remastered from the "Capitol tape mix". The September release will be the first time the ENTIRE catalog is to be remastered. In 1987 a few of the original cd's were released as remastered versions. Help (ADD), Rubber Soul(ADD), Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road were among those remastered (Check your cd booklets and see there). The others were "just" mastered for cd. Then "1", "Love", Let it Be "Naked" and the redone "Yellow Submarine" featured remastered product. Plus all the music on the Anthologies (outtakes, partial takes and finished takes) were remastered too. I'll still get the boxsets of the newest remasters though, knowing they'll be superior to anything before it too. And as far as my "fifth" time getting their catalog, I'm talking original albums, singles, imports, reissues, cd's etc. I hadn't gotten EVERYTHING 5 times, but much of it, YES !
  15. That may be the key, that you "don't recall seeing." I saw those other music shows too and yes, they were fun as well. I realize the latter part of the list may not float everyones' boat, but you'd be disagreeing with several people here as I would too. But for the first 2 years I thought the show was excellent. I realize all of us would have our favorites and often limited exposure and interests, but I found many of these great and I watched nearly all of the first couple of years, seeing these bands below. Maybe it's just not diverse enough. I also liked Wolfman Jack and the non musical events going on. It made for a good show. Are you sure you didn't get into any of these ? Go back to the earliest episodes, in the second link, that are linked to in The Rovers earlier post. If you can't find something here. Sorry about that. 16. I'm saving $20 a week in a special "Beatle Fund" to buy all of the available cd's. Both box sets. It'll mark about the 5th time I've bought a new generation of Beatle music.
  17. It was the time and music. That will never be repeated. With the homogenization of everything now, it's going to be very difficult to achieve the likeness of great music programming of the past. It simply can't be beat or even matched. Relish in the archives.
  18. Do you know who happened to be in Jimmy Hall's band? Were they called The Prisoner's of Love ?
  19. It looks like no one else sat in their front row seats either. Was anyone there? Well there's 3 and an arm.
  20. Mine was a cringe. Because I have eyes. I could possibly drink sour milk if my taste buds weren't working, but when all your senses are intact, the reality hits home. Nice though that you had a laugh. I wish I could've been so fortunate.
  21. As with so many things, "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones" Accusers need to produce their own substantiation and reveal their own experience in detail or put up or shut up.
  22. In this day of a "complete package" for entertainers why would her looks be mute? Every article I read about her mentions her homeliness. Why would it be any different here? If she'd been pretty and a lousy voice, don't you think we'd be talking about her lousy voice as well as her good looks? You can't exclude an aspect of her totality and be fair. Say it like it is.
