  1. I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Keckler who was hired by Mike Ladd back in the 60's to help him with custom projects such as Jimmy's No. 3 purple les paul. When I asked Tom what work he had done for Page, he told me he worked on a purple guitar for him. I remember being confused and looked up if Page was ever seen with a purple LP. I could not find anything online until I stumbled across this thread, and now what Tom was talking about makes sense. Here is Tom's website http://www.tksguitarservices.com/about-tk/
  2. I recently saw a video Robert Plant talking about the best part of his time in Zeppelin was early on when everything was just opening up and there was really no rules or structure. This made me think of what Jimmy's time in the Yardbirds would've been like. Late 60's traveling the United States while a culture wave was actively hitting. Can anyone provide any insight to what his touring time with the Yardbirds was like, and what kind of mayhem they were getting into while traveling America? I feel like those days when he was still super young and not as famous could've been even more wild than his Zeppelin days.
  3. Thank you very much. Hopefully I see some photos I have never seen before.
  4. Is the official book they released a few years back worth the purchase? Are there any rare photos worth purchasing for? I recently bought the Jimmy Page autobiography as well as the anthology which I really enjoyed, but not sure if the bands book is worth it.
