  1. Awww. What kind of cake did you make?
  2. :cheer: :cheer: That's fantastic news!!!!! So happy for you mate
  3. Are you talking about the ride called the Himalaya where they usually play really loud music? That's cool too. I won't go on anything that goes upside down, backwards or really fast I'm a wuss
  4. Sounds like a lovely evening. I'm sorry you are away from your family but good you got to speak with them on the phone. I love astronomy.
  5. Sounds like fun! What's the moon festival like?
  6. The Tilt-A-Whirl was my favorite ride as a kid! Loved it. I feel the same way about that pirate ship ride that swings back and forth No thanks Sounds like a good day you had
  7. A friend of mine saw them in DC and said the same thing. The cuts I've heard off the new album I've liked a lot. I need to get the full thing!
  8. I saw the Trews in Austin a few years ago. Great band live!
  9. Cool! Duly noted on the ever growing list of cds to buy
  10. The nastiness and personal attacks that have run rampant on this board lately
  11. The photos are wonderful! I can see why you'd like the Westcott House better. Lucky you live near enough to be able to see it
  12. I'll look around to see if I can rent it somewhere or maybe view online. The only Townes I have is Legend which is a 2 cd best of. I thought it was a good place to start but I will check out the two you recommended, especially the live one.
  13. Buckeye I would have loved to have seen that house in person. I'm a big Frank Lloyd Wright fan. I went to I think it was a museum in Chicago many years ago. Was very interesting.
  14. Definitely a film on my list to see. I vaguely remember it coming out but I don't think I was into Townes at the time so it didn't resonate as something to see. Sometimes it's frustrating to jump on an artist bandwagon so late in the game!
  15. Good to know - I've heard of him but not heard his music and I'm a huge Townes and Earle fan. John Prine too though not as familiar with his work as the others.
  16. Indeed! Be careful - hope it clears up soon.
