Can’t wait to see this in the UK Akio Sakurai is as close to hearing and seeing the real thing as we will get these days. Jimmy has given him the official seal of approval having seen him play in a club in Japan and has sanctioned 25 tracks to be used in the film. Plant and/or Jones or Bonham estate could easily have blocked this but thankfully appreciated the work -over 8 years in the making -that has gone into this .Seeing 25 plus classic Zep tracks played live and (guitarwise) note perfect on a big screen in Dolby 7.0 -doesn’t get much better !

Unfortunately, Jimmy has been done with playing, in public anyway, for many years now. Probably down to a combination of declining health, it’s rumoured he’s got some joint issues in his wrists/fingers and a lack of any real motivation to do so. He’s nothing to prove and still takes a keen interest in music and the arts in general. I wish him well in his old age.

It’s an old symbol that appears in many ancient occult and astrological texts. It’s one of a few that represents Saturn- the planet relating to Jimmy’s birth sign Capricorn. Maybe he picked that particular one because it reminded him of his first guitar name- Grazioso. Only he really knows, it may come out in his autobiography-if we ever see it.

Exactly right - it was just a chord progression that had been hanging around since his Yardbirds days. He wouldn’t have stressed about what key it was in.

Unfortunately Jimmy is renowned for hinting at stuff he’s never actually going to put out there, so I’m not expecting anything. No problem he’s done more than enough for me. I’m hoping that he’s been working on a full autobiography to be released posthumously, he will definitely have kept a very detailed diary throughout his life plus he has a phenomenal memory. Let’s hope it’s a long time before we get to read it .

No I’ve not heard that one ..I’ll take your word for it’s quality but personally I’m happy to go with whatever the band, ie Jimmy, saw fit to release officially.

I don’t think Jimmy has ever been connected to the real world ...that’s what set him apart as a musical genius.

Personally I can’t stand bootlegs ..they all sound sound awful to my ears. I’d rather just stick to the official releases ...I’ve never heard anything better than either TSRTS or HTWWW.

Jimmy is way too busy reading poetry these days ....

Mainly because they were useless- unlike like Jimmy Sakurai who is supremely talented-as is the rest of his band.
