  1. As Mrs CP is having a girlie break in Prague, I am having slobby, easy to cook nosh for one this week. Simple Roast Chicken and Chips this evening. I will have a couple of glasses of a Pinot Noir but no Weed. I am not a fan of having a toke on my on own. I might dig out The Albert Hall DVD which I have not watched for years and certainly not on our newish HD TV.
  2. Toad in the Hole. Steamed Kale and a Red Onion Gravy for dinner. Cries out for a glass or two of a rich Red Rioja
  3. How strange that Sean? Maybe because Tiger didn't feature? We all know how one man makes a team eh? Yes there was Ryder and Solheim Cups in the last 2 weeks, which Europe won both. But it's hardly surprising it wasn't news Stateside.
  4. Ryder Cup? Bagged. Scheffler humiliated. US Team a shambles. Thinking they can just "turn up" without playing for 5 weeks. Ridiculous
  5. Nope can't see that JTM. I can't change it in my profile. Maybe I'm not allowed to send PM's?
  6.  No PM Man?

    1. JTM

      JTM

      I'll try again later.

  7. The opening music to this tour was This Mortal Coil and their version of Song to The Siren. ( I think) or was that " Shaken and Stirred"? Yes maybe it was as it was the highlight of the evening along with Richie Heywood's drumming
  8. Solheim Cup - Bagged Ryder Cup Next
  9. I take it you've forgotten about "In Through The Outdoor" eh Rick? Hardly surprising as it's, well not great. Mine are: PG 1 2 4 3 Presence Houses Of The Holy ITTO
  10. That was then. Imagine how much it would cost now? Our modest 2 bedroom stone cottage costs us the best part of £200 to heat and light a month.
  11. To open with Hot Dog doesn't sit right with me. In fact the set list is somewhat disjointed. To close with Misty Mountain Hop wouldn't work either. At a push shove In The Evening as an opener If you will, could you imagine the excitement and frenzy of waiting for the band, for them to open up with "Hot Dog" ??? No no no.
  12. Kashmiri Chicken Curry. Made with Chicken Tikka. Going to smell fabulous in a bit. Chapati's to mop up. Wines and some Excellent Moroccan Polm Hash
  13. The real issue in this country is the geographical gap between the rich haves and the poor have nots. The South, in particular, the South East gets the lion share of the money. The poor North gets basically fuck all. It hardly surprises me when I watch the (BBC) news and they want to lead a story on poverty, up North they go. Every fucking time. God forbid a poor story from the South East. They never can find one. The Government treat (Illegal) Asylum seekers better than locals. They get houses, money, in fact everything. Violent and crime generally is out of control. We witness a gang of filth trying to steal a Scooter the other week. Outside a large Supermarket, on a Saturday afternoon in front of horrified shoppers. These vermin have been terrorising towns and villagers around the town for ages and the Police don't do a thing about it. If money wasn't an option we would move out of this overcrowded, damp miserable Island. Where to one could ask? Australia would be very high on our list
  14. Real Estate with Land, especially in that part of the UK, is very expensive. On top of the asking price, you can add on Agents fees (1% say) and Stamp Duty, which in this case is another £550,000. To run that type of property would cost endless thousand of pounds. You can't change anything as it's a Grade 1 listed property. If I had that sort of money, I wouldn't live in the UK anyway.
  15. My niece was in Marrakech when it struck. She was very, very lucky to get out.
  16. Hot and sunny. Fabulous for September. @Brigante will not be best pleased. How is it over the other side of The Pennines man?
  17. RIP Whitesnake Guitarist Bernie Marsden
  18. I was at the Manchester Poly show. I was 19 years old. I was very close to the stage and had a great time. People did yell out for Zeppelin songs but Plant put that to bed very early on. " We are an RnB Band not a stadium rock band" if I recall or something like that All Saints was a great venue. I also caught The Police there supporting a (in) famous Didsbury band called The Albertos, in the 70's. Gong too, and their off shoot Here and Now. Many a joint shared in there I can tell you.
