  1. I think the Strange Sensation version of Hey Joe comes across much better live than on the studio version, which isn't to say I don't think it's great but the energy and mood they create performing it on stage is pretty spectacular.

Try to find the Austin City Limits Episode they did...phenomenal!

  2. Good thread Zepaholic and well done, by putting everything into light. Unfortunately, some people take these things way too seriously and it's all beyond our control. But at least we have a place where we can debate these sort of things, even though its' importance is far less than what is going on around this. All of this has been... :beat:

damn, you beat me to it

  3. I dont think you will see that happen, as Chris Robinson' personal(NOT musical) opinion of Jimmy Page is not very high, from what i remember reading. I don't really know what happened between the two of them, but have heard that it was basically the same deal that happened with P&P...Page's alcohol consumption.

What about Ian Thornley? Ive picked up on a Zeppelinesque vibe from Big Wreck, but I havent heard any of his solo stuff.

  4. wow, this thing is getting out of hand again...

    sit and wait. don't speculate.

whatever music JJandJ make regardless of the singer or the band name, it will be incredible, we will all buy it and if we can afford it, we will go to see them on tour.

Quit beating up on Robert already. Let it go. He has.

  5. I agree with a lot of this. I think the LZ camp just let the press run wild with the assumption that there may be a full blown reunion tour without confirming or denying anything. The last thing I want is for this new singer to be a Robert clone. I just hope he does his own thing, and doesn't try to emulate him.

thanks to you im glad it made sense to more than just me

  6. If I may be permitted, a few observations.

Jimmy found the perfect unknown singer the first time around. whos to say he cant do it again?

    Steve Jones is spot on.

No one has said yet that "Led Zeppelin" would be touring again, and most are assuming it since JP JPJ and JB are in a studio that it would be the natural progression. Robert's done. He's happy doing his own thing, and he's damned good at it. To label it Led Zeppelin on here or in your head and stick another singer in there expecting Robert to come oozing out of him (or her) is setting yourself up for disappointment when its NOT Led Zeppelin, in every sense of what LZ mean to each of us.

BTW, I personally want Robert back. I want Zeppelin back. We need Zeppelin right now. Music, The World, and Mankind in general need Zeppelin one last time. I just don't think its ever going to happen again, sadly. I will take what I can get and be happy!

This has got to be the most ridiculous post Ive ever made, but I dont get on here much lately and I had to let it out.

  7. Actually I'm surprised mine weren't blurry too since I kept getting pushed back & forth, it was a constant fight to stay in the center of the row. Unlike MSG that had the chairs in the row bolted together, the Nassau Coliseum just had the folding chairs set up in neat rows & when The Firm took the stage everybody just pushed the chairs out of the way & rushed up to the front.

was it this show that Virginia Woolfe opened? I cant remember anymore if it was this show or not that I came thisclose to catching Jason's sticks when he threw them into the crowd!

Needless to say, I'm not impressed. Thou shalt not alter Percy! Unless it's a dot to cover nudity. "If there was a reason that would make it logical, fine." to quote him.

    Ye God and little fishes.

damn, that posters been hanging in my daughters room for years and I never noticed that the cigarette was missing!

  9. On the tube coming back from the O2 last monday, I spotted this lovely Zoso tattoo on the wrist of a beautiful young woman. She told me she had it done a few weeks ago.

that was the first one my 21 year old got, but on his right wrist

  10. ^

Oh God don't tell me someone actually believes that blatant publicity stunt?

Or should I say - since nothig has been proved regarding this claim AT ALL, I do think it is wrong to refer to it on a Zeppelin forum as if it is the truth.

well I see very similar features in both pictures, nothing to start a war over, please

  11. Hi all,

newbie to the Forum but not to Led Zep (thank the Lord they got me into Blues Rock, instead of FM Rock).

I have an 17yr old son who lives a distance from me and is a big Zep fan (guess what his name is yep Robert after you know who) :D

Anyway for his 18th (in April) I would like to get him an autograph from Rob to Rob so to speak. I live less than 10miles from Rob's home but am not sure of his exact address to be able to knock and ask him to fulfill my sons dream. I totally appreciate people deserve their privacy and have seen Rob plenty of times in the past locally, where the caves are, the Robin and the town where the town clock stands out (2 clues for Black Country folk).

But not recently, must have been too busy playing that concert and making a great album with the delightful Alison Krauss.

Anyway if any site administrators or you folks can help please message privately, and I'm a Black Country bloke so Mr Plant can trust me, even if I am a Baggies fan. :D

    All the best

what a nice thing to do for your son!

do tell us if it came to fruition.

BTW, I named my 21 year old after him too B)
