  1. Those are all awesome pics - thanks!

If you know Knebby, can't you persuade her to come back to the forum? She was such a mine of great info. Shame to disappear forever because one (probably jealous) person was rude.

You mean the party I thought was Chislehurst Caves? I've never heard of the Silk Torpedo party. What was the date of it? Poppies are worn from late October to Armistice Day (11 Nov). (Assuming I'm right and it is a Remembrance poppy). And where was it held? That background looks like solid rock.

She hears news from the forum. I think it was more than one person who was the problem.

It was the same party on Halloween, but the party for the release of Silk Torpedo.

  2. Oh, cool! I'm quite anal about knowing when / where / why etc. - silly really.

You're welcome. I recognize the outfit from knebby's own photograph of Jimmy arriving and pictures that Sam has posted from the event. This is also the invitation. According to forum member, Zish, Jimmy was not schudled to even go to that, only Robert and Jonsey, who are on the invitation. I am pretty sure that they are the same day. I can show them to knebby. She would know exactly what they are.

That is interesting information about the carnation, seeing that party was in 1974 for Swan Song's release of Pretty Things's Silk Torpedo.

  3. There's this one too:

I find it hard to guess the date - anyone got ideas?

Its his outfit for the Golden Lion Raffle making it December 1981! I love this and the other one! They are both new to me thank you, you made my night!
  4. I agree, Lif. Jimmy has not confirmed any romantic relationship with her and I feel we really shouldn't be dissussing this until we would hear directly from him. She is a friend of Peter Makowski's so all is known is they know each other. There would be many more pictures if this was true and there have been none proving this.

This a picture thread of Jimmy, by the way.

one of the comments read : " with his belly dancer girlfriend of course "...... ?

Cookie posted this in Led Zeppelin news yesterday. Jimmy is currently on holiday in Morocco 'making friends.'

  6. ^Nice one J! One lucky kid - bet he won't sleep for a week.

This is the one I couldn't upload - they could be chasing the dog but Robert loves his football..

  7. The William Burroughs pictures where taken by Charles Gatewood and yes, the interview was done sometime in February. Stephen Davies talks about the meeting between Jimmy and Burroughs in his book LZ'75, but Jimmy devotes 2 pages of it in his. It must have meant a lot to him. I wish Jimmy would do an On this Day about it, plus these Charles Gatewood pictures are among my favorites ever of Jimmy as well as my favorite of his 'outfits.'

"This was a photo shoot during the interview with Burroughs for Crawdaddy! where he wrote about music, trance music and Morocco. I turned the conversation to Wilhelm Reich and orgone energry. And it was to my surprise that William Burroughs had an orgone cabinet there in his home which he would visit on a daily basis. After the interview we went to Mr Burroughs' local Mexican restaurant where we ate heartily and he introduced me to Dos Equis."

  8. He looks good there. Damn! :veryhot: Thanks for posting! This is a great picture! Where is it from aen27?

An asian girl shared it in Cookie's Led Zeppelin News twitter page yesterday. It is from the July issue of a Japanese magazine called GEOTHE. I loved it!!! :)

  9. Wow what a beautiful room! Thanks for posting!

You're welcome. It is the music room at Tower House. I love it. This is an old thread that was started about William Burges who designed and built Tower House.

I have this tiny photo of Jimmy standing in front of the tapestry

    scan0004_zpsc5f0fea0.jpg

He kept the tapestry at Old Mill House. This was taken by a British fan and collector Steve Jones who visited Jimmy and Charlotte in 1982. It appears in Dave Lewis's book Feather in the Wind along with his story.
