  1. Indeed. And the lyrics to the next song are?
  2. Hopefully this is the right category. It's a game that tests your knowledge of Zeppelin lyrics as well as your ability to decipher terrible translations. You must name the song correctly before posting your own. You can run the lyrics through here. The more languages you pass the lyrics through, the harder they are. We'll start with a relatively easy one. Ejsagw ' menoj at the park exactly on other day, baby that which it thinks that evle ' I THERE? The quantities sittin of persons "at the grass with their concerned hectar-trj'blumen" Hey, boy, make for you result wanna? And
  3. I love Queens of the Stone Age, Lanegan has come a long way from his days with the Screaming Trees and has really developed his art. I can't make the Kyuss comparison, as I haven't heard of Kyuss before today (and after doing a little research I have no idea why I haven't heard of them). At the very least though, I now have a 'new' band to investigate and spend some time on.
  4. No way. You would need someone on vocals, but I can't think of anyone with the right sound. 'Course, if DNA advancements continue, maybe we can just take some of Cobains brain matter off of the tool-shed wall and create a Kurt clone. A Kurt clone would do well in Kurts role.
  5. Just so no one gets the wrong idea, this was intended to be satyr.
  6. When I heard Zeppelin was getting back together for a show, I about shat my pants. This was, for a time, the greatest news I had ever heard short of my daughter being born (but it was close). For weeks I was thrilled about it, even though I knew there was no way I could afford to make the trip to go see it. Now, like many of you, I anxiously await the DVD and CD release(s) of the concert. But all of that excitement may have just been washed away. I glanced at the television screen in the breakroom today to discover that the Spice Girls are getting back together. What a way to end 2007, wit
  7. Are you saying we're related, scratch? Are you my mother?
  8. Oh mighty all knowing Drunk Is it a common tactic to avoid answering the question posed to you, or have you not yet accept your own personal assholery? It is nothing to be ashamed of, many of us are assholes; myself included. Stay strong, I'm sure you'll come out alright. -poop
  9. Do you remember who opened up for Zeppelin at the show you saw? Was it someone who went on to great things or someone who disappeared? (PS, is "go fuck yourself" some 'inside joke' among you southerners?)
  10. That's fantastic. Just goes to show that not only is Jason an amazing drummer, but a class act. His pops would be proud.
  11. Dear Drunk; Are you an asshole all the time, just when it serves your purposes, or does it always serve your puposes? Please exlpain. -poop
  12. I think a lot of you are thinking too big. Not that any band is too big to open for Zeppelin, but that many of the bands being named are too big to accept opening for Zeppelin (especially bands that are headlining on their own as it is). There aren't a lot of headliners that are willing to tour and serve as the opening act. STP did it with the Stones, but that was early in STP's career. I think it would be cool to see a band that used to open for Zeppelin open for them again. A band that maybe never hit the main stream, maybe put out two albums and split. That would be cool.
  13. Promise me never to say that again. I have a lot of respect for Cornell, he has an awesome voice, but his live vocals are terrible; utterly and absolutely horrid. I can't tell you how many times I got stoked for a live Soundgarden show only to be terribly disappointed in his vocals. When Audio Slave joined I figured "awesome, now he can concentrate on vocals" thinking that maybe his live vocals were affected by trying to make sure he plays the guitar well; but alas he sounds like crap there too. I don't know what it is. I know he can sing, he just fails to do so live.
  14. Anyone remember Dread Zeppelin? What a strange, strange group that was.
