  1. "Mr. Dobalina, Mr. Bob Dobalina. Mr Dobalina, Mr Bob Dobalina"

"China Clipper calling Alemeda, China Clipper calling Alemeda"

"Nevermind the furthermore, the plea for self defense. Nevermind the furthermore, the plea for self defense"

"It is of my opinion the people are attending. It is of my opinion, the people are attending"

    Huh?

  2. I resent the remark about the Monkees thread...mostly because I started it. But I love both bands and think both have their place in music. I just love The Who more.

When I was in Barnes and Noble yesterday, I (accidently) saw a naked picture of Keith. Don't ask how. It scarred me.

  3. Yeah, it's weird. No channels show the Monkees anymore, and On Demand has suddenly stopped letting me watch the episodes! *sad sigh* So when my mom gets home tonight, she's going to look and see if any place has the box set.

I didn't think it was out on DVD actually.

    You're from Pittsburgh?

I lived there for about 7 or 8 years.

I just found that Fourth River recording on the net a couple days ago.

I am from Pittsburgh, I've lived here all my life!

  5. My dad has a copy of the Monkees' greatest hits on vinyl, which I listened to yesterday. All the great songs! Here are my three favorites:

    1. Monkee's Theme

    2. Daydream Believer

    3. (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone

I got into these guys a few days ago by watching a bunch of old episodes from their TV show On Demand. Boy, were they funny! (And cute.) My current favorite episode is "The Spy That Came in From the Cool," where the Monkees get involved in espionage!

  6. For all lovers of Davy Jones, Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith, this is the place to be! Post your favorite Monkees videos, remenisce about the TV show, post your reviews of the movie Head, or talk about how cute Davy is....it's up to you!

  7. .01 - Fourth River - live at Logan's Pub 2007-11-30

This is a Pittsburgh based jam band heavily influenced by Phish, but

this tune seems to have a little Dave Mathews flavor to it,

different singer. I don't recognize more than half their numbers so I'm

guessing they've got some original material in addition to a few crowd pleasers.

...continuing this show from last night, got this on recommendation

cause I was curious what was going on in da 'burgh these days.

I don't really know anything about this group, but I hear

    sax

    keyboard

    guitar

    bass

    drums

The sax and keyboard player may be the same person, I should check for their homepage.

Hey, these guys are from my hometown!
