Adventure is a watered down Marquee Moon. It's just OK. I think they only produced one other album, 14 years after they split up, and haven't heard anything about it. You've got to check out their live album, The Blow-Up. Three words: Little Johnny Jewel. Tom Verlaine is an incredible guitarist, he just doesn't seem to let anyone know about it save for these recordings.

They play my town on Saturday. Tickets still aren't sold out. I've never gotten around listening to them, so I'm not going. Maybe, in the future after I've sought them out, I'll be kicking myself for not going. Right now, I don't care.

You're missing some big un's: Television Wire Husker Du The Smiths (some of their stuff is good, others... meh.) Sonic Youth My Bloody Valentine I don't know if some of those quite fit into the genre, but they're all from the same general time period.
