  1. I understand that... But what's actually worse than not crediting an artist is "resembling" an existing cover version...
  2. I must admit... Black Mountain Side sounds like a direct lift, and Pagey should have credited the original artist. And the fact that Stairway's opening line was 'inspired' by Spirit's song is disappointing to me.
  3. Pictures was released in 1982, as well... (June)
  4. Vocals don't sound HOTH era. Plus I had read back in the early days of Plant's solo career that he recorded them around the time of PAE for the Coda release... Can anyone corroborate?
  5. A bad habit I developed from never reading my Playboys... While embarassed, at least my recognition skills are still in tact...
  6. Waiting on an invite? It's bullshit - he's not that presumptuous.
  7. No one noticed that the photo shoot of Plant on the truck is the source of his stylized pic on the back of III comes from...
  8. Good call on Jonesy and LZII. I'd say Pagey on Presence.
  9. Sounds like you scored a collector's item to me...
  10. Yes, Memory Song, from his solo recording Fate of Nations...
  11. Yes... I spoke w/ Julie on the phone back in the 80's as well and was a FITW subscriber... Great fan. She definitely got closer to Robert than most fans, and sent me a copy of her call-in to the radio show as well back in TPOM era... Imparted some personal Zep stuff to me, so she definitely had a connection.
  12. Dig the hair-in-motion shots of Robert!!! Great photos - thanks for sharing.
  13. Thanks for the thread... I always thought it bizarre that the male child was seemingly 'sacrificed' in the gatefold art. Almost prophetic...
  14. If you look in the left side of the box - there is the hood, face, beard of the Hermit and his outstretched right hand... tilted at a counterclockwise 45 degree angle from the vertical.
  15. Could very well be - I just rewatched SIBLY on TSRTS, and she does resemble her. Very cool if true. Thanks JP77...
  16. That's one of 2 things. When looking at the image upright, portrait orientation, place the right edge against the mirror (it's easier if you use the LP instead of the CD sleeve). The mountain becomes the right side of the 'Beast's' head/face, the Hermit becomes his right horn. The mirror image becomes the left side of his head, and the mirror image of the Hermit his left horn... So very cool... But there's one more hidden image as well...
