  1. I wonder about John Paul Jones's triple neck Steve. He got it in 1977 as a gift form Hugh Manson. The story is Manson saw on the 1977 tour, that Jones needed it, yet he also claims, that he made it in 1974. And he claims Jones needed all three necks for one song, which is not true. Maybe he made it for Page in the first place, but Page also didn't play mandolin until 1977. And it's also weird, that he could have made it so fast for Jones. You know, seeing that he needed it in 1977 an then making it during the tour. Do you know more about it Steve? Thanks!
  2. I sometimes find them in newspaper articles. If there is a combination of letters in various orders that are included in name Led Zeppelin I notice it, even with other letters in between!
  3. Enjoy my first album with pro musicians called Love for all! I mostly write singer songwriter type of songs and sing them with high pitched hard rock vocals! Vocals, lyrics, melodies: Samo Kodela; production, arrangements, all instruments except drums, mix: Damir Ovčar; drums: Aleš Zorec; mastering: Gregor Žuraj.
  4. My newly recorded album will finally be finished in a few weeks or less! Everything is recorded, except a little bit of vocals and some drums and then mixing and mastering. I will post it here! Thanks for your patience, this has been going on way too long now, but there is the pandemic and some different health issues I had!
  5. Thanks. It's a comon fact basicaly. And I wasn't really following the topic, not that interested in this one, I just checked the last post and responded, so I didn't see the photos at first.
  6. Poor Weena, if only she could somehow turn him vegetarian.
  7. Well you certainly made a nice link to some nice guitars there, but you probably just wanted to add a picture of Page playing guitar, although this guys memory must be a bit hazy, as far as I know, Page didn't have his guitar particulary low in 1969 at all.
  8. This theory is probably about that Page had a lot of sex, while some had almost none. Ah those were such days for so many and somehow Lori says he was sweet. And being in love of course is a wonderful thing, but you know, Page can't be perfect, he's been seriously committed to a 30 year old for years now!
  9. You are trying to convince others into your belief. Beliefs are not facts or opinions and are quite often supported by poor arguments and though disorganisation, which makes it difficult to understand from a logical view and useless for anything practical. The only other use of such term would be moral beliefs, but these are basically a bit different opinions on moral issues. So what are you going to do with your belief? Find a friend who also believes it? Friendship is not based on that! Start a religious group? It might be the right topic. I think it's a mistake for Jimmy to be interested in Crowley. But Jimmy was reading all sorts of stuff to find his own way and he did lots of concrete fantastic things, while Crowley was basically trying to be cool by trying to look evil and saying he can do anything he wants.
  10. Yes but you are presenting it as a fact, worse, you are presenting a possibility as a fact. What is the point?
  11. It's a possibility, but you are displaying thoughts in a bit of a delusional way, as if you believe that you actually know something, which makes you sort of above others, but you don't back it with data or a well established argument and I don't think it's a communication issue, sorry. Just trying to help, I studied all sorts of human problems, to eventually realised what my own were and could help myself. Not to mention that especially the 'high class' of the society and 'the low class' would benefit particulary from personal growth and not just blaming each other, while the poor don't even have enough for basic needs and some travelling and cultural participation, if they are on a minimal wage. But this is a different and complex topic and it can quickly turn into psychotherapy and I'm not proffesionaly qualified, neither do I have time.
  12. I can not be completely sure whats wrong with you, I don't know you, but if you want to convince us there is something speciffically different about you, you have to be avare, you don't have to know the whole 9'th symphony in your mind for that or even a whole live Stairway solo. I don't know any such person that can do that, but the thing is you are perhaps trying to fool us anyway.
  13. As long as he doesn't take his wife. And sorry for the writing style in my sentence. Atlaest I wasn't monologuing. I'm certainly realising that small talk exists and it's not neccesarily a thing I couldn't understand. Sorry.
  14. Yes, very painful experience in that scene, best hopes diminished into minor expectations, that will carry on into a flame of new hope.
  15. Really good article about very recent research: https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/12/rhythm-might-be-hardwired-humans Still troubadours in middle ages didn't use it that much, didn't know that until recently, it's not in the article though.
  16. And it's also very hard to visually verify it especially for No quarter and Dazed and Celebration day aswell, but there is no need for that, I've been listening to Mobile solos since high school and they are noticeably different. Just relax man and always be sure what you are trying to say and why exactly and since you are talking about a very concrete, objective thing, how about patching together some long enough sections one after another, so we can hear this are the same parts. I'm sure we can accept it, if you communicate it to us.
  17. The solos are similar in some parts yeah, but not completely as others have said and especially No quarter has a very distinct sound not just on keyboards and quite different and less developed phrasing and a substantially different sound on guitar, which probably couldn't be changed enough in the studio, especially for the 1976 release. Such debates probably arise from all the patching on TSRTS and also Plant's vocal problems that year, which for some time for some people also perhaps indicated, that some members of Zeppelin had trouble playing their own music techically even in the early years, which is not true, although they were not that technical, it was more about feel in some ways.

    The pub

Hi! May I sit down? We have a Union brand beer in Slovenia, but we pronunce it differently and the word means nothing in Slovene, so quite a revelation from you. Cheers.
  19. Album Nekega jutra ko se zdani(Some morning at dawn) by Slovenian singer songwriter Vlado Kreslin. I listen to this album everday, sometimes several times a day. Beautiful, rather melancholic folk rock, with major chord melodies in choruses, strings, mandolin and pipe orchestras, beautiful piano solos, accordions and the songs are really good. Songs are Nekega jutra ko se zdani; Obrni, obrni; Joužek; Čuden si bil že kot otrok; Letos bo huda jesen; Vrane; Samo ti in Muzikanti if anybody wants to check on youtube. The lyrics are all in Slovene. First song Nekega jutra ko se zdani:
  20. It's Time Machine from 1960, directed by George Pal, starring Rod Taylor and Yvette Mimieux. It's so colourful and well done and it's got some very pristine friendship, enlightening romance and beautiful idealism and many other positive ideas and philosophical ideas against war and lowest forms of human existence. I always liked such movies for their message and how hard life can be to understand and cope with and escaping your own time and trying to just help create a better world has always been an idea close to me, although it can bring hard times.
  21. Thanks, it means a lot to me that you responded, nice hearing from a true fan, I think I perhaps deserve that after listening to all the albums in such detail in the last few years and especially to the rhytm in the last two years and I certainly listen to atleast three bootlegs from each year a lot, just don't catch me on some specific bass line moment on Seattle 21/3 1975, it's my favourite bootleg and it would sort of hurt.
  22. Posting this makes me feel part of this forum, among other things, so forgive me for self promotion, especially before the album is recorded and sorry for all the past miscommunications and not many are going to be interested, anyway. And me having mental problems, which in my home town made me for many people inherently immoral in many ways, while I just actually had autism and mild personality functioning problems(although I don't expect anybody to follow my story, make up your mind, I just have to move on in life) and couldn't much protect myself and show myself in a good enough light, as I just didn't understand things well enough, it took ages to find right musicians and friends, I also completely opened my singing in the last few years and while I noticed patterns in music, I was somehow always just mostly interested in melodic parts of music and had a bit of a hard time listening to multiple parts at the same time and now I corrected that, so before I almost completely missed the rhythmic part of music and so recorded my first album completely alone in a weird free jazz style, which I just don't listen to. My songs are singer songwriter songs with high pitched vocals. This post is about music, not about how to find a style that brings success and I hope I managed to be able to show that I'm a modest and good person most of the time on the forum. I enjoy being part of this community, although I sometimes miss communication these days and would like to be more of a part of the debate, hope I manage this. I will post the songs here, as the album progresses in recording.
  23. The last part is really great too, the way Plant sings to the girl, the way he repeats how much he loves her 'AAAAND I love you Darlene, yeessss I love you, I do' it's just great. And the piano and guitar solo and drums, all so great!!!
  24. This whole thing I'm writing is making me feel a bit silly, I got my opinion anyway and I think the court will decide the same, but I would just like to add that the court would have to decide on the percentage of notes obviously, as they would neither be necessarily in a (long enough) sequence, neither would there always be the same amount of notes.
  25. Don't know if this was posted here already(listen after 35 seconds), but this one is even closer than Taurus and Cry me a river and is in a way another example of something that can't get royalties from Zep anymore and also another example of something that is not completely similar. In the second video there are more examples, Page is actually part of the last two-Cartoone and Page-Beck. I think the main problem we are talking about here is that someone concrete is suing and that is someone who is suing as probably last in line before Zep, to use this similar idea. So now what? There are other similar examples, but someone who still got it protected is suing. It was released before Led Zeppelin IV and Page heard it. Now what? I don't think it's similar enough, many think so, the court though so the first time and there are other similar or even more similar examples. I think the only point here is that no matter how the court decides it's still just an opinion(although royalties and reputation are at stake), so the only reasonable thing for this court to do something useful would be, to establish some general rule about this, if it's possible. Like when you got a very similar chord progression, meter and picking pattern, as well as quite many same notes. They would basically have to say exactly how many notes is enough and that might perhaps already be exactly established and it would probably be quite easy for any artist to avoid trouble, so I might be bullshitting, but it doesn't seem so.
