  1. I've been a few times before. It was fun, and my cousin used to work there.

So you're in our area too?! Wow! Tres cool!

Tangerine, ping me, maybe just maybe if yer there on a weekend I could take a bus ride down and meet up for dinner or a concert or even lazing on the beach!

  2. Jeez Tangerine! I didn't realize we were so close! Oh man, don't you love New Hope!! I love going there! We are leaving for AC next Tuesday and returning Friday...unless we decide to get into a Friday evening poker tourney. I don't have to be back to work until Monday so if that tourney thing worked out, it would be worth staying another night! Let me know if our paths are crossing, we'll definatley have to meet up!!

Ahhh, all the places you mentioned I know well except Dutch Wonderland. What is that?

Enjoy the day trips! I've always kinda wanted to do that! I can't remember the last time we went to New Hope!

    Peace! :hippy:

So true. There were 40 of us who were picked for the case that the judge cancelled. It was amazing, out by noon! Thank you for the kind words, my daughter is fever free today and back to camp in the morning.

About that vacation, i had planned to spend 2 nights of it in AC, but if you are gonna be there, gotta check when. I wanted to play poker, but that will be out of the question, lol, if you are there!!! Joking! Well the vacation is at home, but i will be making some day trips with a friend. Atlantic City for 2 nights and 3 days is the first plan. Hopefully it will still be warm enough to spend time on the beach, though i'm certain the ocean will be too cold. Since Borgota is so expensive, staying at the nice Hilton, which is on the beach ( i believe) or at least on the boardwalk. Plan a trip to New Hope one day, Dutch Wonderland another day, and certainly plan on eating at some great restuarants in Center City Philadelphia (Steven Starr owns the best places)! My friend enjoys good food and eating, so it's a pleasure to dine with him! If it was still the summer months i would probably venture to other shore points. I love SeaSide Heights, Ocean City and Wildwood. Unfortunately it will be after Labor Day when things slow down.

I'm happy that Medhb and I made up after a rocky start! I have missed out on getting to know a very nice person! Now i can appreciate your posts! Seriously, when will you be in AC, maybe we can meet up!

  3. Jury duty is over!!! Every one of the 250+ people who were there got picked potentially for a criminal case. My group was called to go and then told to sit back down at 10am. At 11:45am (when i expected they would cut us loose for a lunch break) my group was called. We are taken up to a room where i expected lawyers to come in to root through us. The lady who brought us there says thank you for coming, your judge has cancelled and i'm letting you go home early. Do not go back to the juror room or tell anyone! Amazing...and i got a $9 check (parking cost me $20)...but at least i'm outta there!

I'm also happy because i'm looking forward to a great vacation in September. In my thoughts every day :)

I'm happy my daughter's fever all day yesterday is gone today.

Ahahhaha, getting out of jury duty! Priceless! Especially when you are a single mom right? Glad your daughter is feeling better. Where are you going on vacation? We're going to take a week in Atlantic City. Not a real big thrill but no airfare, we can drive there. I'm hoping to use the days to relax by the pool and take advantage of the gym and maybe work on getting back in shape. Hit the spa, ohh lala! And the usual casino/resort stuff...

I can't believe he kicked the nicotine habit as degenerate of a smoker he was! NOBODY looks hotter than Jimmy with a cig in his lips, kinda makes me wish I were a cigarette

  5. WooHoo!! Just looking at that set makes me drool. But I don't have a turntable and speakers that would do it justice so.... :(

I beat my hubby at two games of heads up...and I took my puppy for a mile walk while listening to Zep on my iPod...nice!

  6. Just recieved my copy today of the TSRTS vinyl 4 album set. Didn't get a white copy but happy just the same

WooHoo!! Just looking at that set makes me drool. But I don't have a turntable and speakers that would do it justice so.... :(

  7. This is what has happened in London, England.

    Unleaded 119.9p a litre=$10 a gallon

    Diesel 133.9p a litre=$12 a gallon

    LRP 132.9p a litre=$12 a gallon

    Super 130.9p a litre=$12 a gallon

    LPG 61.9p a litre=$6 a gallon

    Make any sense to you?

PS. Prices in pence, 2 cents = 1penny roughly. and this is per litre so times by 41/2, fucking ripoff.

It just blows me away that you guys buy gas in smaller quantities than I buy wine....sympathies. We here in the US shouldn't be bitchin so much...it's always worse somewhere else.

That aside, my ignorance makes me not understand how there can be such a world wide price difference. Maybe someone will step up and patiently explain that to me

  8. Yes that is very wonderful of them. Jesus even animals will eat their young before they let them suffer. How do people live with themselves?

The mother screamed "Please don't thake my baby?!" Huh???? What joy was she getting from totally ignoring her child. Such a sad tale, I'm so happy she has a real family now. It sounds like she's making much progress and is such a pretty little girl too. I hope she continues to progress...Blessing to her and her new family.

I honestly thing that women of children like this should be forced to have a hysterectomy. She got off way to easy but at least you would know she can never do it again.

  9. I'm very happy today. It's gorgeous and clear, and in about 15 minutes my wonderful husband and our three crazy dogs and I will be hopping into our little truck and heading over the hills and far away to the wilds of Sonoma. Six whole days at the beach, walking, reading, sleeping, foolin' around, eating lovely food and drinking lovely wine. Oh, and listening to Zeppelin, of course!

I purposely left the lap top at work so they can't bug me, so I'll miss the good people here, though. I will be going analog with a pen and paper, like back in the day.

    Life is good. :D

Ahhhh, I'm soooo envious! Sounds LOVELY! Enjoy!!!

  10. I'm delighted today because the day dawned fresh and bright! It is a sunny 65 degrees this morning and Bonzo and I had a delightful walk and he got to play with one of his girlfrineds - Paris, AND he made a new girlfriend, a puggle.

Looks like it's a 'go' to hold the poker game outside, Woohooo!! I warmed up a little last night and won 2 sit and go's so I feel READY!!!

Wish me luck! Money is going to the Zep Reunion fund ticket <_<

  11. Got to hang out with my Grandson He is 19 months old and into everything. Oh yes that will be My happy moment for Yesterday and Tommorow also.He listened to Me play and sing a few Skynyrd and Bob Seger songs then He had enough and started crying so We took a break then I let Him strum the Guitar it will one day be His anyway .He is the only one besides me to play Warlock that is My Les Paul.

Wow! What wonderful memories he will have of his grand pappy one day!! What a lucky little boy!

  12. My heart is filled with happiness today!

This is my last day at home before I leave for holidays!!!! I packed my bags and enjoyed the sunny weather. And tomorrow it's byebye Home for 4 weeks! At first to ledzepgirl92 (who I met at this forum and who turned out to be one of my best friends) and then to denmark, which means sun, sea, family, sleeping until 11 am and playing the guitar all day long!

    So: CU everyone here!

    Love and Peace, Sophia

Ahhhhh, have great fun Sophia!! We shall miss you while you are gone and look forward to details of your trip when you return.

    Safe travels Sweetie!

  13. Bonzo passed his evalutation!!!

We didn't want to board him while we go on vacation and a friend recommended a service to us. They usually come to your house several times a day but if you're a regular client they will take the dog into their home. We are not in their area but since we were recommended to them by one of their best clients they came to do an evaluation to see if they would take Bonzo into their home for 5 days. HE PASSED!!! Wooohhoooo! And he was even pulling all his most obnoxious tricks, pulling the stuffing out of his toys, running around like a madmand, trying to bite their sleeves...I told them, give him this command to make him stop and they were able to control him so they said, 'OK, we'll take him' WOOHOOO!! I really didn't want to kennel him....

  14. Ok, so like, we've been having this "fitness challenge" at work for the past week. This year we are doing the "sculpture walk" where we're supposed to walk around down town and look at the sculptures. I overdid it yesterday because I was powerwalking, and so my legs were a bit sore. So I was checking them out. And I noticed--my thighs do not touch each other! Even when my knees touch, the thighs do not!! I have been working out, on my own for three weeks, so I'm sure that probably helped. I don't know how long the thigh fat has been missing, but today was the first time I actually noticed. I am sooo happy. YAY!! :D

Now THAT is most awesome! Congrats Bonnie!! <said with much envy> :)
